Definitions
- the present invention relates to a system for maintaining a panel on a rigid frame, by a complete connection, in particular on the front of a construction, the panel comprising at least one substrate made of glass-type fragile material, the substrate comprising a retention cavity positioned on a surface portion of the substrate, the holding system having means for completely connecting the panel to the framework via a single substrate.
- the prior art teaches, for example, a system for maintaining a front panel, in a rabbet formed by the rigid frame, for example metallic, open towards the outside, the panel being placed in the rabbet, with its inner face bearing against an inner seal in the vertical plane, and held in position, for example by means of screwed bead, bearing against the outer face of the panel opposite the inner face, via a seal.
- Each facade panel is thus sandwiched between its two faces, external and internal, by the rigid frame.
- panel comprising a substrate made of glass-type fragile material
- any monolithic type panel for example single glazing, or composite, for example laminated, layer, or insulating glazing consisting of several windows separated from one another. air blade.
- fragile material is meant, for example, any fragile mineral material, marble type or the like, glass being cited as a preferred example.
- Taking the substrate by a profiled projection in a cavity all along at least one side of the substrate allows to offer a maintenance of the panel by efforts evenly distributed along at least one side of the panel, which allows the attachment of the panel by a single substrate with a relatively low substrate thickness given the small transverse dimensions such a connection.
- said retention cavity is positioned on a surface portion located on a edge of said substrate, and practiced at said edge.
- This feature provides opportunities for fixing panels on the front, which extend in a space between the edges of the panels without extending from this space beyond the vertical plane defined by the outer faces of the panels.
- said first interface in the form of a projection, provides fluid sealing when it cooperates with said retention cavity, so as to form with it a continuous fluid-tight retention connection on the side of the substrate.
- said retention connection of said projection in said cavity has complementary profiles against undercut between the projection and the cavity, in order to obtain a connection of the first section to said substrate by obstacle.
- This characteristic provides a retention connection which gives the connection between the projection and the cavity a bond or attachment proper to one another, at least partial or complete, once the projection in place in the cavity, and thus a secure intrinsic maintenance of the profile in the cavity of the substrate.
- Such a feature contributes to reducing the size of the cavity, allowing the connection of the panel to the framework by a single substrate of this panel, with a relatively small thickness of the substrate.
- the system according to the invention further comprises a rigid security element, intended to be fixed to said framework by a complete connection, and comprising a free male part, capable of being inserted into said retention cavity, said rigid security element cooperating, along the length of the male part inserted into the cavity, with said first interface, in the form of a projection, of said connecting means of said panel to said framework, so as to participate in the retention connection of said projection in said cavity.
- connection of the panel to the frame provided by the security element or elements may not be complete, the only function required to, or security elements being to maintain the panel on the frame and to avoid as it falls to the ground in case of disappearance of the basic connection means.
- said second interface, contact suitable for being associated with said frame, comprises a plurality of discontinuous contact segments, each able to bear on said frame and to be linked to the latter.
- connection means on the frame side, which can accept higher point forces than those used in a connection with a glass-type fragile material.
- the connecting means formed from or from profiles make it possible to minimize their costs while distributing the holding forces.
- said plurality of second sections is linked to said first section by a connection to a degree of freedom in translation.
- connection means between a panel and the frame in that the second sections can be adjusted in position relative to the frame by moving according to the degree of freedom in translation.
- the complete connection of the panel is obtained by the establishment of second sections distributed on several sides so as to cancel the overall degree of freedom in translation of a second profile relative to a first profile.
- connection with a degree of freedom in translation comprises a sliding interlock.
- said plurality of second sections is bonded to said first section by a complete connection.
- said second sections each adopt a substantially L-shape, one branch of which is intended to be connected to the framework, and the other branch of which is intended to be linked, by its free end, to said first profile.
- said first section adopts a substantially polygonal cross-sectional shape, a first face of which comprises said first protruding interface, and a second face disposed substantially at right angles to said first face, comprises means for connecting to said second sections.
- said first section comprises a recess of a determined length, intended to house a portion of said security element.
- said portion of the security element housed in the notch of the first profile comprises the second end veil and part of the central veil.
- said retention cavity extends along the length of the four sides of the substrate, and said first interface, in the form of a projection, extends along the length of said four sides of the substrate.
- said second interface, contact suitable for being associated with said frame, comprises a plurality of discontinuous contact segments, distributed on all four sides of the substrate, each adapted to bear on said framework and to be associated with the latter.
- the outer seal means participate in the AEV and advantageously thermal sealing of the holding system according to the invention, and make it possible to confer a particular aesthetic thanks to the outer face of the outer seal means, visible in front of the construction.
- the expression “participates” or “entering the constitution of”, with respect to the external seal means it is meant here that the latter can perform the defined function on their own or in cooperation with one or more other elements .
- the outer seal means may not come into contact with the edges of the two juxtaposed panels.
- said means for associating said external seal means with the connecting means of said two adjacent sides of said two adjacent panels to said framework comprise an elastic structure acting by elastic deformation, said elastic structure being able to be inserted between said connecting means respectively to said framework, said two adjacent sides of said two adjacent panels.
- This feature makes it possible to offer a simple embodiment for fixing the external joint means between the two straight edges facing two sides of two adjacent panels, by a clipping means or the like, discrete in front because non visible.
- the outer seal means comprise support means on two first sections vis-à-vis, respective connection to said frame, each of said two adjacent sides of said two adjacent panels, adapted to cooperate with said elastic structure for forming a complete connection of said outer seal means to said framework.
- two first connecting profiles vis-à-vis can advantageously cooperate with the outer seal means to ensure a tight connection between the two straight edges vis-à-vis two sides of two adjacent panels.
- Such a characteristic makes it possible to absorb a variation in the distance separating two edges vis-à-vis two juxtaposed panels, while guaranteeing the tightness of the connection between the two rectilinear edges facing each other, by overlapping outer seal means on the first sections.
- said support means comprise a first support on a front face of said first two sections adopting a polygonal cross-sectional shape.
- said elastic structure cooperates with a second rear face of said first two sections adopting a polygonal cross-sectional shape.
- said means for associating said support wedge with said panel cooperate with said connecting means of said panel to said framework.
- said means for associating said support wedge with said panel comprise a connection of the lower support block to said first profile.
- the support means of the support wedge in cooperation with the wedge itself and thanks to the means of association of the lower support block to the panel advantageously allow a pre-positioning of the panel relative to the rigid frame , useful when placing the panel on the rigid framework, because it allows for example to facilitate the application of a prestressing on the inner seal when plating the panel in the rabbets of the frame which are intended for him.
- said support means of said support wedge adopt a profile shape comprising at least one pre-positioning groove of the panel relative to said framework, via said lower support wedge.
- the retention cavity 4 is advantageously positioned on a surface portion located on a edge 8 of the substrate 3, and made at the edge 8, at least along the length of a first side of the substrate 3, and preferably two, or four sides of the edge 8 of the substrate 3 as in the example shown.
- the panel may be composed of several substrates made of glass-type fragile material, for example double glazing, but also a substrate of fragile material, for example glass-type material, and one or more substrates of non-brittle material associated with the glass. substrate of fragile material by a double glazing type assembly or the like.
- the single substrate comprising the retention cavity 4 is the substrate 3 in contact with the outside, the other substrate 12 of the panel 1 being in contact with the interior of the construction, and having its inside face. resting on a peripheral seal 11 engaged on the rigid frame 2.
- the substrate 12 has no cavity or at least does not have a cavity used for fixing the panel to the rigid frame.
- the panel 1 is further supported on its lower edge by gravity, as will be described later.
- the rigid frame 2 is a frame of known type having a conventional panel placement rabbet, and which will therefore not be described here.
- a rigid framing frame type for glass facade, curtain wall, veture, double facade, or the like may be suitable.
- the rigid frame 2 has a separating wall 13 forming part of the rabbets 14 as shown in FIGS. figures 3 and 4 more particularly, and separating two rabbets 14 juxtaposed for two panels 1 juxtaposed, this according to the direction two rabbets 14 juxtaposed for two panels 1 juxtaposed, this in the vertical or horizontal direction.
- FIG. 1 and 2 As shown by way of example, four partial panels 1 juxtaposed, the four panels 1 shown partially being contiguous by one of their angles, corresponding to a crossing crossbar and vertical amount of the frame 2.
- the facade unit represented on the figures 1 and 2 is reproduced over the entire surface of the facade, each panel side 1 being engaged in a rabbet of the frame 2.
- the panels on the figures 1 , 10 , 12 are shown not complete, to better highlight the invention. In the other figures, they are represented complete, but sometimes in partial view with regard to their surface.
- the cavity 4 extends continuously over the length of the four sides of the substrate 3, but this cavity may consist of two or more cavities distributed respectively over two or more sides of the substrate.
- the retention cavity 4 opens integrally on the edge of the substrate and opens at both ends of one side of the substrate, on the adjacent sides of the substrate, but may, alternatively, be blind. and stop near the two ends of one side of the substrate.
- the retention cavity 4 is delimited by a sidewall concave profile, concavity facing inward, and advantageously has a circular cross section or oblong.
- a retention cavity 4 is known and described in the document WO 2006/054011 , and will not be more detailed here.
- the first interface 6, in the form of a projection, advantageously extends along the length of one side of the substrate 3, and preferably along the length of the four sides of the substrate 3, and preferably provides fluid-tightness when it co-operates with the retention cavity 4, so as to form with it a fluid-tight retention connection.
- the retention cavity 4 advantageously takes the form of a groove whose longitudinal extension is parallel to the outer surface of the substrate which constitutes one of the panes of the double-glazed panel shown in the example.
- the retention groove 4 is centered on the edge of the substrate, so that the same amount of material exists on both sides of the groove to the corresponding outer face of the substrate, this for thin substrates.
- the retention groove may be off-center on the surface of the edge, as required, for substrates with a greater thickness.
- the second interface 7, contact suitable for being associated with the rigid frame 2, comprises a plurality of discontinuous contact segments 15, each able to bear on the frame 2 and to be linked thereto , and corresponding to the plurality of second sections 10.
- the plurality of second sections 10 is connected to the first section 9 by a link with a degree of freedom in translation, which comprises for example a sliding interlock 16, as more particularly shown on FIG. figure 12 .
- the slide fitting 16 of a second section 10 on the first 9 is for example made by a male-female interlocking of a male section with a domed profile, with an undercut in a female section of complementary profile, so that performing a sliding fit just or slightly tight, and a connection comprising a retention of the first and second sections on one another by an obstacle connection.
- the connection of the second sections on the first can be obtained by clipping or gluing.
- the profiles 9 extend on the periphery of the edge 8 of each external substrate 3 of each panel 1 of the facade, so as to form, for each substrate, a frame surrounding it and allowing the recovery of the panel on the rigid frame via the second sections 10 which are distributed according to needs on this frame formed by the first sections 9, that is to say according to the dimensions of the panel, for example as shown, two second sections 10 per panel side.
- the first and second profiles are preferably made of insulating material, for example plastic material in order to give the holding system according to the invention a connection of the panel, thermal break type between the outside and inside of the construction.
- the first sections 9, like the second sections 10 may preferably be made of polyamide or TPE (thermoplastic elastomer) or the like.
- the second sections 10 could be in the form of a continuous profile on one or more sides of the panel 1, for example on the four sides thereof, like the first profiles 9.
- the retention link obtained with the first interface 6 in the cavity 4 is more particularly developed in the document WO 2006/054011 and advantageously has complementary undercut profiles in order to preferably obtain a connection of the first section 9 to the substrate 3 by obstacle.
- Obstacle link means as represented on the figures 3 , 4 , 1 , or 12 , a connection which presents an obstacle to the extraction of the protruding interface 6 from the retention cavity 4 in which it lies, in a direction different from the longitudinal direction of the first profile, in particular a perpendicular direction at this longitudinal direction and passing through the opening of the cavity.
- the connection between the retention cavity 4 and the first section 9 will be continuous on one side, and adjusted slippery or slightly tightened, or complete.
- the second sections 10 each adopt a shape substantially of L whose branch 17 is intended to be connected to the rigid frame 2, and whose other branch 18 is intended to be linked by its end free 19, the first section 9, for example through the sliding interlock 16, as explained above and more particularly shown on the figure 12 .
- the male part 19 of the sliding interlock is associated with the second section 10 and the female part or groove 20 of this interlock is associated with the first section 9.
- the first sections 9 are joined to the four corners of the substrate 3 preferably by miter cuts and / or straight cuts, as shown in FIGS. figures 5 , 6 , and 7 . It should be noted that the longitudinal end or ends of the first profile 9 in the other figures may not be represented in a sectional cut, either for simplification of representation or because the profile has been cut and it is therefore not the end which is actually represented.
- the first section 9 adopts, for example, a shape of substantially polygonal cross-section, of which a first face 21 comprises the first interface 6 in the form of a projection, and of which a second face 22, called the rear face, disposed substantially at right angles to the first face 21 , comprises connecting means 20 to the second sections 10, for example a groove 20.
- the polygonal section of the profile 9 may for example be rectangular, or trapezoidal, or other depending on the needs and in particular an outer seal as will be described further.
- Each second profile 10 preferably comprises an oblong hole 23, on the branch 17 intended to be connected to the rigid frame 2, for the passage of a screw 24 or the like rigid fixing of the second section 10 on the frame, via the partition wall separating rabbets, as shown in figures 3 , 4 , and 10 .
- An oblong hole 24 extends in a direction perpendicular to the edge 8 of the panel 1 vis-à-vis which the second section 10 is mounted, and is placed in the middle of the second section 10, as shown in the figures.
- the oblong hole 24 essentially makes it possible to absorb manufacturing tolerances for the rigid framework 2.
- the second section 10 comprises a branch 18 which faces the edge 8 of the panel.
- the face 25 of this branch 18 may advantageously form an angle with the edge 8 of the panel, to allow some flexibility of the L to absorb any differential thermal expansion between the panel and the frame.
- complete connection of the panel 1 on the frame 2 is meant a connection which immobilizes the panel 1 on the frame 2 by removing any degree of freedom of the panel relative to the frame.
- This complete connection is obtained by the complete connecting means 5 including screws 24 or the like.
- These connecting means 5 comprise all of the second 10 and first 9 profiles necessary for the fixing of a panel 1.
- the complete connection nevertheless comprises a certain degree of elasticity due to the intervention of the bearing seal 11 of the panel on the frame, and also because of the bond conferred by the first and second profiles which should allow a differential expansion of the panel relative to the frame if necessary.
- Fixing by screw or the like 24 on the partition wall 13 of the framework is a known type of attachment, for example between two walls constituting the wall 13 as shown, directly or via a nose section 27.
- the interface 7 formed by the rear face of the second section 10 bears against the nose of the framework itself constituted by the front end of the separating wall 13, as shown in FIGS. figures 3 and 4 .
- the system advantageously further comprises a rigid safety element 26, intended to be fixed to the frame 2 by a complete connection, and comprising a male portion 28 free, adapted to be inserted into the retention cavity 4, the rigid element 26 along the length of the male portion 28 inserted in the cavity 4, with the first interface 6, in the form of a projection, connecting means 5 of the panel 1 to the frame 2, so as to participate in the protrusion retention connection in the retention cavity 4.
- a rigid safety element 26 intended to be fixed to the frame 2 by a complete connection, and comprising a male portion 28 free, adapted to be inserted into the retention cavity 4, the rigid element 26 along the length of the male portion 28 inserted in the cavity 4, with the first interface 6, in the form of a projection, connecting means 5 of the panel 1 to the frame 2, so as to participate in the protrusion retention connection in the retention cavity 4.
- This cooperation between the rigid security element 26 and the first interface 6 is, as more particularly shown on the figure 15 by the fact that the projection-shaped interface 6 is intended to come into contact with a first side of the cavity 4 and the security element 26 in contact on a first of its faces longitudinally with the interface 6 in the form of protrusion, is intended for its part to come into contact, by means of the second of its faces opposite to the first, with a second side of the cavity 4 opposite the first side thereof, so that in the As shown, the security element 26 locks on its length the interface 6 in the form of a projection in the cavity 4, for example by locking, in the example shown, said obstacle connection which had disappeared over the length of the security element due to the presence of the notch 34 as explained below.
- This security element 26 is not necessary for the active connection of the panel 1 to the frame 2; it is a passive security link, or redundant, whose function is to become active in case of deactivation of the link conferred by the connecting means 5 described above for any reason whatsoever.
- the security element can be advantageously obtained from a plate of constant thickness, and bent as described above.
- the first section 9 advantageously comprises a notch 34 of a determined length, intended to house a portion of the security element 26. , for example the second end veil 31 and a part of the central veil 29 as shown on the figures 14 and 15 .
- the length of the notch is greater than or substantially equal to the length of the security element, so that this security element is partially embedded in the first section, this for side-by-side mounting of the element 26 and the first profile 9 in the substrate 3.
- the notch 34 made partly in the projection of the interface 6 in a longitudinal manner, will allow the juxtaposed insertion of the male portion 28 of the security element and the remaining part of the protrusion 6 after completion of the notch 34, as shown on the figure 15 .
- the security element 26 can be first mounted in the notch 34 of the first section, then the first section and the attached security element can be slidably inserted in the retention cavity 4 by a longitudinal end of the here, following a translational movement in the direction 44.
- the first end veil 30 of the security element 26 comprises, for example, at least one fixing hole 45 on the rigid framework 2, by means of at least one screw 46 or the like, as shown in FIGS. figures 13 , 15 or 16 .
- the screw or screws 46 or the like are preferably engaged in the partition wall 13 of the framework in a manner similar to that of the fastening screws 24 of the second sections 10.
- Each panel 1 will preferably comprise two security elements 26 respectively disposed on the two vertical edges of each panel 1.
- a panel 1 being in lower support on the frame 2 by gravity, as explained hereinafter, the security element 26 Its essential function is to prevent the tilting of the panel in case of failure of the main attachment provided by the first and second profiles and screws 24 or the like.
- the outer joint means 35 have the main function of participating in the creation of a barrier between the exterior of the facade and the interior, more particularly between the outside and the housing rebates of the panels 1, and in particular a barrier thermal.
- the outer seal 35 will preferably be made of an insulating material, for example polyamide or the like.
- the outer seal means 35 also function to create a seal to prevent air, water and wind from entering the rabbet. Another function of the outer seal means 35 is to confer on the facade a particular aesthetic sought, by the visible outer face 37 of the outer seal means 35.
- the outer seal means 35 may for example be in the form of a rod obtained from a profile, adopting the shape of a plate 38 joining the two edges of the two adjacent sides of two adjacent panels 1, of which the inner face 39 is advantageously arranged in abutment on the first two sections 9, vis-à-vis, respective connection to the frame, each of two adjacent sides of two adjacent panels 1.
- the longitudinal edges of the rod may come into contact with the edges of the substrates 3 of the adjacent panels 1 having the retention cavities, but preferably, a clearance will exist to allow differential expansion of the panels 1 of the facade and the frame 2
- the inner face 39 of the joining plate 38 may advantageously bear on one, 40, faces of the polygon formed by each of the two first profiles 9 on which it is based.
- This bearing face 40 may be the face of the polygon, adjacent to that 21, comprising the interface 6, as shown in FIGS. figures 3 or 4 , and who does so facing the outside of the building.
- the plate 38 has a curved cross section, of substantially constant thickness, the concave face 37 is facing outwards, and the convex face inwardly.
- the support surface 40 of the profiles 9 has a non-zero angle of inclination with the plane of the facade or substrates 3, as shown on the figures 3 or 4 .
- the outer face 37 thus has a transversely concave connection between two adjacent edges of adjacent panels. Any other form of connection may be considered according to aesthetic choices or constraints, and the system according to the invention advantageously allows an alignment of the outer surface 37 of the joining plate 38 with the outer surfaces of the substrates 3.
- the outer surface 37 of the joining plate 38 may be ribbed or striated according to any desired aesthetic considerations.
- the plate 38 advantageously comprises means of association 36 with the connecting means 5 on both sides of the two panels adjacent to the frame 2, which comprise an elastic structure 41 acting by elastic deformation, this elastic structure 41 being able to be inserted between the respective connecting means 5 of the two adjacent sides of two adjacent panels 1, to the rigid frame 2. More specifically, this elastic structure 41 is advantageously provided to be clipped by elastic deformation between the two lateral faces 42 vis-à- screws of the two sections 9 vis-à-vis connection of two edges juxtaposed two juxtaposed panels.
- the elastic structure 41 consists, for example, of longitudinally elongated ribs substantially in longitudinal cylindrical shape with a polygonal transverse cross-section which is deformable in the transverse direction, comprising at two opposite transverse ends of the polygonal section two hooks 43 able to come to relax by elastic return behind.
- the first two sections 9, respectively in order to maintain the plate 38, by a complete connection, on the rigid frame 2.
- the two hooks 43 come respectively, after relaxation, when the plate 38 is in place on the front, bear on the rear faces of the profiles 9, which carry the two grooves 20 interlocking of the two sections 10, respectively.
- the polygonal section of the elastic structure is attached to the rear face 39 of the plate 38, for example monoblock with it so that the plate and the elastic structure 41 advantageously form one and the same profile, as shown on the figures 3 and 4 .
- any form of elastic structure that makes it possible to associate the outer joint plate with the framework may be suitable, preferably via the profiles 9.
- the elastic structure 41 in closed polygonal shape, allows to form a cavity 46 with a thermal barrier function contributing to a good quality of thermal insulation of the system according to the invention.
- the clipping system of the plate 38 joined to the elastic structure 41 makes it possible to form other cells located between the elastic structure, the profiles 9 and the plate 38, as shown in FIGS. figures 3 or 4 , also contributing to the achievement of a good thermal barrier of the frontal assembly constituted by these elements.
- the elastic structure advantageously makes it possible to absorb differential expansions while guaranteeing the connection of the plate 38 to the framework.
- the outer seal means 35 thus comprise bearing means 39 on two first sections 9 facing each other relative to the frame 2, of each of the two adjacent sides of two adjacent panels 1, capable of cooperating with the elastic structure 41 to form a complete connection of the outer seal means 35 to the frame 2.
- a first section 9 is sandwiched between the inner face 39 of the plate 38 and the hooks 43 of the elastic structure 41.
- a lower support shim 50 is advantageously in the form of a profile, for example an insulating material such as a plastic material or the like, cut into a plurality of segments 50, each segment forming a lower support block for a panel 1.

The present invention relates to a system for maintaining a panel on a rigid frame, by a complete connection, in particular on the front of a construction, the panel comprising at least one substrate made of glass-type fragile material, the substrate comprising a retention cavity positioned on a surface portion of the substrate, the holding system having means for completely connecting the panel to the framework via a single substrate.
The prior art teaches, for example, a system for maintaining a front panel, in a rabbet formed by the rigid frame, for example metallic, open towards the outside, the panel being placed in the rabbet, with its inner face bearing against an inner seal in the vertical plane, and held in position, for example by means of screwed bead, bearing against the outer face of the panel opposite the inner face, via a seal. Each facade panel is thus sandwiched between its two faces, external and internal, by the rigid frame.
- it is bulky, the edges of the panels being covered to ensure both the maintenance of the glazing in position and airtightness, water and wind,
- it requires an extra thickness in front of the outer face of the panels, the frame or more particularly the beading means, in particular to achieve sealing.
- said panel comprising at least one substrate made of glass-type fragile material,
- said substrate having a retention cavity positioned on a surface portion of said substrate,
- the holding system comprising:
- means for completely connecting said panel to said framework via said single substrate, or a single one of said substrates, and via said retention cavity, which comprise:
- a first interface, in the form of a projection, housed in said retention cavity of said substrate so as to form with it a connection for retaining said projection in said cavity,
- a second interface, contact, associated with said frame,
- means for completely connecting said panel to said framework via said single substrate, or a single one of said substrates, and via said retention cavity, which comprise:
- said retention cavity extending at least along the length or substantially the length of a first side of said substrate,
- the holding system being characterized in that:
- said first protruding interface extends at least along the length or substantially the length of a first side of said substrate, and is carried by a first profile which extends along the length or substantially the length of the first side of the substrate, and
- the second interface providing a connection between the first section and the frame.
Maintaining a panel on a rigid frame by connecting means engaged in a retention cavity formed in a substrate, and connecting this cavity to the rigid frame of the facade, allows to propose a different way of the state of the prior art using sandwiching of the panel. By panel comprising a substrate made of glass-type fragile material, here is meant in particular any monolithic type panel, for example single glazing, or composite, for example laminated, layer, or insulating glazing consisting of several windows separated from one another. air blade. By fragile material is meant, for example, any fragile mineral material, marble type or the like, glass being cited as a preferred example. Taking the substrate by a profiled projection in a cavity all along at least one side of the substrate, allows to offer a maintenance of the panel by efforts evenly distributed along at least one side of the panel, which allows the attachment of the panel by a single substrate with a relatively low substrate thickness given the small transverse dimensions such a connection.
According to an advantageous characteristic, said retention cavity is positioned on a surface portion located on a edge of said substrate, and practiced at said edge.
This feature provides opportunities for fixing panels on the front, which extend in a space between the edges of the panels without extending from this space beyond the vertical plane defined by the outer faces of the panels.
According to an advantageous characteristic, said first interface, in the form of a projection, provides fluid sealing when it cooperates with said retention cavity, so as to form with it a continuous fluid-tight retention connection on the side of the substrate.
According to an advantageous characteristic, said retention connection of said projection in said cavity has complementary profiles against undercut between the projection and the cavity, in order to obtain a connection of the first section to said substrate by obstacle.
This characteristic provides a retention connection which gives the connection between the projection and the cavity a bond or attachment proper to one another, at least partial or complete, once the projection in place in the cavity, and thus a secure intrinsic maintenance of the profile in the cavity of the substrate. Such a feature contributes to reducing the size of the cavity, allowing the connection of the panel to the framework by a single substrate of this panel, with a relatively small thickness of the substrate.
According to an advantageous characteristic, the system according to the invention further comprises a rigid security element, intended to be fixed to said framework by a complete connection, and comprising a free male part, capable of being inserted into said retention cavity, said rigid security element cooperating, along the length of the male part inserted into the cavity, with said first interface, in the form of a projection, of said connecting means of said panel to said framework, so as to participate in the retention connection of said projection in said cavity.
This characteristic makes it possible to offer a system for maintaining security of the panel in the case where the connection means of the panel to the rigid frame, as defined above, would fail, for example due to an accidental cause. In the case where the connecting means of the panel to the framework as described above are existing and active, the security element is intrinsically useless and participates only locally and additionally to the retention link assumed by the projection in the cavity. In the case where the connecting means of the panel to the frame as described above are present, but inactive, for whatever reason, the security element or elements come to ensure the maintenance of the panel on the frame; this maintenance, said security, occurs simultaneously with the disappearance of the connection means, or at the very moment when they are no longer able to fulfill their function of connecting the panel to the frame, providing a redundant connection to that of the connecting means of the panel to the frame, but inactive when the latter themselves are active. For this purpose, the connection of the panel to the frame, provided by the security element or elements may not be complete, the only function required to, or security elements being to maintain the panel on the frame and to avoid as it falls to the ground in case of disappearance of the basic connection means.
According to an advantageous characteristic, said second interface, contact, suitable for being associated with said frame, comprises a plurality of discontinuous contact segments, each able to bear on said frame and to be linked to the latter.
This characteristic makes it possible to optimize the connection means, on the frame side, which can accept higher point forces than those used in a connection with a glass-type fragile material.
- a first section carrying said first protruding interface,
- a plurality of second sections, adapted to be connected to said first profile and comprising said second contact interface.
The connecting means formed from or from profiles make it possible to minimize their costs while distributing the holding forces.
According to an advantageous characteristic, said plurality of second sections is linked to said first section by a connection to a degree of freedom in translation.
This feature facilitates the implementation of the connection means between a panel and the frame, in that the second sections can be adjusted in position relative to the frame by moving according to the degree of freedom in translation. The complete connection of the panel is obtained by the establishment of second sections distributed on several sides so as to cancel the overall degree of freedom in translation of a second profile relative to a first profile.
According to an advantageous characteristic, said connection with a degree of freedom in translation comprises a sliding interlock.
According to an alternative advantageous characteristic, said plurality of second sections is bonded to said first section by a complete connection.
According to an advantageous characteristic, said second sections each adopt a substantially L-shape, one branch of which is intended to be connected to the framework, and the other branch of which is intended to be linked, by its free end, to said first profile.
According to an advantageous characteristic, said first section adopts a substantially polygonal cross-sectional shape, a first face of which comprises said first protruding interface, and a second face disposed substantially at right angles to said first face, comprises means for connecting to said second sections.
The foregoing two features make it possible to implement a form of connection of reduced bulk by optimizing the space between the two edges of two panels juxtaposed in a facade.
According to an advantageous characteristic, said first section comprises a recess of a determined length, intended to house a portion of said security element.
- a central veil,
- a first end web, intended to be fixed to the framework, integral with a first longitudinal edge of said central web, and extending in a first direction perpendicular to said central web,
- a second end veil, intended to be inserted into said substrate retention cavity, integral with a second longitudinal edge of said central veil, opposite to the first longitudinal edge and extending in a second direction perpendicular to the central veil, opposite to the first direction.
According to an advantageous characteristic, said portion of the security element housed in the notch of the first profile comprises the second end veil and part of the central veil.
According to an advantageous characteristic, said retention cavity extends along the length of the four sides of the substrate, and said first interface, in the form of a projection, extends along the length of said four sides of the substrate.
According to an advantageous characteristic, said second interface, contact, suitable for being associated with said frame, comprises a plurality of discontinuous contact segments, distributed on all four sides of the substrate, each adapted to bear on said framework and to be associated with the latter.
- external joint means forming a connection between the two straight edges facing two adjacent sides of two adjacent panels, on said facade of a construction, each of the two panels comprising a substrate made of fragile glass-type material,
- means for associating said external seal means with the respective connecting means of said two adjacent sides of said two panels adjacent said frame.
The outer seal means participate in the AEV and advantageously thermal sealing of the holding system according to the invention, and make it possible to confer a particular aesthetic thanks to the outer face of the outer seal means, visible in front of the construction. By the expression "participates" or "entering the constitution of", with respect to the external seal means, it is meant here that the latter can perform the defined function on their own or in cooperation with one or more other elements . In this case, the outer seal means may not come into contact with the edges of the two juxtaposed panels.
According to an advantageous characteristic, said means for associating said external seal means with the connecting means of said two adjacent sides of said two adjacent panels to said framework comprise an elastic structure acting by elastic deformation, said elastic structure being able to be inserted between said connecting means respectively to said framework, said two adjacent sides of said two adjacent panels.
This feature makes it possible to offer a simple embodiment for fixing the external joint means between the two straight edges facing two sides of two adjacent panels, by a clipping means or the like, discrete in front because non visible.
According to an advantageous characteristic, the outer seal means comprise support means on two first sections vis-à-vis, respective connection to said frame, each of said two adjacent sides of said two adjacent panels, adapted to cooperate with said elastic structure for forming a complete connection of said outer seal means to said framework.
According to this feature, two first connecting profiles vis-à-vis can advantageously cooperate with the outer seal means to ensure a tight connection between the two straight edges vis-à-vis two sides of two adjacent panels. Such a characteristic makes it possible to absorb a variation in the distance separating two edges vis-à-vis two juxtaposed panels, while guaranteeing the tightness of the connection between the two rectilinear edges facing each other, by overlapping outer seal means on the first sections.
According to an advantageous characteristic, said support means comprise a first support on a front face of said first two sections adopting a polygonal cross-sectional shape.
According to an advantageous characteristic, said elastic structure cooperates with a second rear face of said first two sections adopting a polygonal cross-sectional shape.
- at least one lower support block of a panel comprising a substrate made of glass-type fragile material,
- means for associating said support block with said panel comprising a substrate made of glass-type fragile material.
According to an advantageous characteristic, said means for associating said support wedge with said panel cooperate with said connecting means of said panel to said framework.
According to an advantageous characteristic, said means for associating said support wedge with said panel comprise a connection of the lower support block to said first profile.
- support means for said support wedge, adapted to cooperate with the latter for the purpose of pre-positioning the panel with respect to said rigid framework,
- means for fixing said support means of the support wedge to said framework.
The support means of the support wedge, in cooperation with the wedge itself and thanks to the means of association of the lower support block to the panel advantageously allow a pre-positioning of the panel relative to the rigid frame , useful when placing the panel on the rigid framework, because it allows for example to facilitate the application of a prestressing on the inner seal when plating the panel in the rabbets of the frame which are intended for him.
According to an advantageous characteristic, said support means of said support wedge, adopt a profile shape comprising at least one pre-positioning groove of the panel relative to said framework, via said lower support wedge.

first interface 6, in the form of a projection, housed in the retention cavity of the substrate so as to form with it a connection for retaining the projection in the cavity, - a
second interface 7, contact, associated with therigid frame 2,
- a
- the
retention cavity 4 extending at least along the length of a first side of thesubstrate 3, - the first projection-shaped
interface 6 extending at least along the length of a first side of thesubstrate 3, and being carried by afirst section 9 which extends along the length of the first side of thesubstrate 3, and - the
second interface 7 providing a connection between thefirst section 9 and therigid frame 2.
The
The panel may be composed of several substrates made of glass-type fragile material, for example double glazing, but also a substrate of fragile material, for example glass-type material, and one or more substrates of non-brittle material associated with the glass. substrate of fragile material by a double glazing type assembly or the like. In the example shown, the single substrate comprising the
Advantageously, and in the example shown, according to the invention, the
The
The
- a
first section 9 carrying thefirst interface 6 in the form of a projection, and - a plurality of
second sections 10, adapted to be connected to thefirst section 9 and having thesecond interface 7 of contact.
Thus, the
The first and second profiles are preferably made of insulating material, for example plastic material in order to give the holding system according to the invention a connection of the panel, thermal break type between the outside and inside of the construction. The
It is possible to consider any complete connection between the
The
By complete connection of the
- a
central veil 29, - a first end veil, intended to be fixed to the
frame 2, integral with a firstlongitudinal edge 32 of thecentral veil 29, and extending in a first direction perpendicular to thecentral veil 29, - a
second end veil 31 intended to be inserted into theretention cavity 4 of thesubstrate 3, secured to a secondlongitudinal edge 33 of thecentral web 29, opposite the firstlongitudinal edge 32 and extending in a second direction perpendicular to thecentral web 29, opposite the first direction, as shown more particularly on thefigure 15 .
The security element can be advantageously obtained from a plate of constant thickness, and bent as described above.
Each

means 5 of two adjacent sides of the twoadjacent panels 1, to theframe 2.
The outer joint means 35 have the main function of participating in the creation of a barrier between the exterior of the facade and the interior, more particularly between the outside and the housing rebates of the
Another function of the outer seal means 35 is to confer on the facade a particular aesthetic sought, by the visible
The
The outer seal means 35 thus comprise bearing means 39 on two

For example, the support wedge will be provided on the longitudinal edge thereof to be bonded to the

It should be noted that a system of mixed maintenance of the panels of a facade can be envisaged, combining for each of the panels of the facade, a maintenance traditional and a maintenance according to the invention.
