Definitions

  • the invention relates to a method of decorating all or part of a sports shoe, and is particularly suitable for shoes comprising parts on which are fixed accessories such as shoes for boards of gliding such as ski boots, surfing or skating.
  • the shoes for sliding sports require a good compromise between the constraints of comfort and stiffness, rigidity necessary to allow the user to guide precisely the gliding machine and feel the response of the machine to his solicitations .
  • the shoes generally consist of parts in a rigid material. On these rigid parts are added accessories to allow their closure and adjustment for example. The decoration of such shoes is often sober and made for example by hot stamping. The accessories added on these shoes can also be decorated separately before their assembly on the shoe. With such an approach, it is difficult to obtain a continuous decoration between the accessories and the part of shoe on which they are attached.
  • an object of the present invention is to provide a method of decorating a sports shoe capable of forming a continuous decoration between the shoe parts and accessories added to their surface.
  • the decoration process consists in the manufacture of the shoe part, including the fitting of the accessories to the surface of the shoe, before adding a final stage of decoration on the assembly formed by the shoe part with its accessory (s), in order to obtain a decoration applied both on the shoe part and on its accessories.
  • the invention is illustrated in the context of an implementation on a ski boot part such as shell or collar or bootie, for which the problem of decorating the plastic surface of its walls and the many added accessories, such as the elements closure and tightening devices, or adjustment of the inclination or more generally of the geometry of the shoe, arises particularly.
  • a ski boot part such as shell or collar or bootie
  • it could be applied in a similar way for other sports shoes, for example surfing shoes or skating shoes.
  • the figure 1 illustrates a conventional ski boot, comprising a collar 1 hinged to a shell 2 at an axis of rotation 3.
  • These two ski boot parts 1.2 are in a rigid plastic, for example a polyurethane hardness 55 shd.
  • closing and clamping devices arranged on either side of a central notch and allowing to bring the two side portions forming flaps around this notch.
  • closure and clamping mainly consist of a rack 4 mounted to rotate around an attachment point 5 by a rivet for example on a first flap.
  • clamping levers 6 fixed rotatably on a base on the boot, to enable actuating a clamping member 7 comprising a rod 8 at its end adapted to cooperate with the teeth of the rack 4.
  • clamping member 7 comprising a rod 8 at its end adapted to cooperate with the teeth of the rack 4.
  • the decoration method according to the invention comprises a first phase comprising a method of manufacturing the parts of the ski boot, according to a method of the state of the art, comprising for example the manufacture of the collar 1 and the shell 2 by one or more injections of plastic material. Then these two parts are assembled and the accessories are fixed on these parts, in order to obtain the quasi-finished shoe illustrated on the figure 1 .
  • a decorative step is then applied to this shoe almost completed the figure 1 , by a paint application process.
  • this method thus makes it possible to obtain decorative zones 9 covering both the plastic walls of the shoe and accessory parts, to form a result which gives a new visual impression of the continuity of the decorative zones between the parts of the shoe shoe and their accessories.
  • the application of the paint can be carried out with the aid of a brush or by projection, for example using the principle of aerography, in an automated and robotic manner, which makes it possible to obtain an accurate drawing.
  • any other decorative product can be applied in a similar, as an ink, a lacquer, a varnish ... This process allows for almost the same decoration on the shoe wall and accessories and to obtain a continuous decorative area between the wall of the shoe and accessories attached to this wall, in the manner of a tag that would be made on the shoe with its accessories.
  • the shoe 10 can also be integrated within the shoe before the application of the decorating step to decorate it also during this step.
  • only a part of the accessories can be fixed before the decoration step, other accessories being fixed after this step.
  • This method is applied to shoes made of any type of material, for example leather, fabric, or plastic, including all types of accessories, for example closure or adjustment devices, of any material, for example metal, plastic , or leather.
  • the method is particularly advantageous because it makes it possible to obtain a continuous decoration on the wall of the shoe and its accessories in a simple manner using the same layer of decorative product applied continuously regardless of the presence of an accessory or not.
  • the invention does not relate to the drawing itself, the decorations can have any shape.
  • the decoration step may consist in the application of a decoration by a method other than that described above, by example by sublimation.
  • a film printed with a sublimable product with elastic properties to better match the raised shapes, and to apply it partly on the wall of the shoe and on at least one accessory, before to obtain the decoration at the same time on the wall of the shoe and on at least a portion of the accessory by transfer of the decorative product of the film on the shoe by a heating step according to a sublimation process.
  • This also allows to obtain a decoration extending continuously on the wall of the shoe and at least one of its accessories.
  • the concept of the invention therefore consists in the application of a continuous decoration, both in part on the surface of the shoe, calling shoe surface its outer wall without the added accessories, and on at least part of an accessory attached to the shoe.
  • This process is simple since it avoids two distinct stages of decoration on the one hand of the shoe and on the other hand of the accessory, and also makes it possible to obtain more aesthetic results with the possibility of guaranteeing a better continuity. decoration between the shoe and its accessory. With such a method, it is noted that the shoe surface areas positioned under the accessories are not decorated.
  • the method according to the invention thus makes it possible, for example, to produce a uniform wall shoe, for example white, comprising accessories of uniform color, as represented on the drawing. figure 1 and then apply the decorating step of the invention.
  • the decoration method according to the invention can be applied to any shoe, possibly already decorated by any other technique of the state of the art, the method of the invention remaining compatible and complementary with other types of decoration .
  • a part of the wall of the shoe may be transparent material showing decorations integrated under a transparent layer, decorations according to the invention being applied at these areas to form a combination of decorations positioned in different planes to give a global decoration in relief, in three dimensions.
