Claims (10)

  1. Device for manoeuvring a door or the like, comprising:
    - a handle (1) that can be grasped in the hand,
    - fixing means for attaching said handle to the said door or the like,
    - the said handle (1) capable of being grasped in the hand comprising a first section piece (2) comprising a first web (4) of material defining a first external face (5), a first internal face (6) opposite the first external face and separated therefrom by the thickness of material of the said first web of material, the said device being characterized in that:
    - the said handle further comprises a second section piece (3), distinct from the first section piece, and comprising a second web (7) of material defining a second external face (8), a second internal face (9) opposite the second external face and separated therefrom by the thickness of material of the said second web of material, and
    - in that it comprises connecting means (10) for connecting one section piece to the other so that the first (2) and second (3) section pieces, when joined together, collaborate in such a way that the internal faces of the first (2) and second (3) section pieces are positioned facing one another and separated from one another by a space (11) known as the internal space, the said handle thus having a thickness (h) conferred upon it by the thickness of the first (4) and second (7) webs of the first and second section pieces respectively, plus the thickness of the said internal space (11) contained between these section pieces.
  2. Device according to Claim 1, characterized in that the respective longitudinal axes of the first (2) and second (3) section pieces are parallel when the first and second section pieces are joined together.
  3. Device according to Claim 1 or 2, characterized in that each of the said first (2) and second (3) section pieces comprises a first (12, 17) and a second (13, 18) longitudinal edge, between which edges the said web (4, 7) of material extends, and in that two respective longitudinal edges of the two first (2) and second (3) section pieces are in contact with one another.
  4. Device according to Claim 3, characterized in that the first (12, 13) longitudinal edges of each of the first (2) and second (3) section pieces are in contact with one another, and in that the second (13, 18) longitudinal edges of each of the first (2) and second (3) section pieces are in contact with one another.
  5. Device according to Claim 1 and one of Claims 3 and 4, characterized in that the said connecting means (10) for connecting one section piece to the other comprise means (23) of fitting together two respective longitudinal edges of the first (2) and second (3) section pieces.
  6. Device according to any one of Claims 1 to 5, characterized in that the said connecting means (10) comprise the said fixing means for attaching the handle to the door or the like.
  7. Device according to Claims 5 and 6, characterized in that the said fitting-together means (23) are located on two respective edges (13, 18) of the first (2) and second (3) section pieces, and in that the fixing means for attaching the handle to the door or the like are positioned on the other two respective edges (12, 17) of the first and second section pieces.
  8. Device according to any one of Claims 1 to 7, characterized in that the first (2) and second (3) section pieces respectively adopt curved shapes included one inside the other.
  9. Device according to any one of Claims 1 to 8, characterized in that one of the said first (2) or second (3) section pieces comprises, at one of the edges, a longitudinal return (22) of a width corresponding to the thickness of the web of material of the other section piece and intended to form an end stop for the corresponding edge of the latter.
  10. Device according to any one of Claims 4 to 9, characterized in that two (12, 17) of the longitudinal edges of the first (2) and of the second (3) section pieces, which are in contact, have profiles which are parallel and superposed in the region of contact, and in that the other two longitudinal edges (13, 18) of the first and of the second section pieces, which are in contact, have profiles which meet end to end.
