Dies ist je nach Bauart der Bedieneinrichtung mit einem erheblichen Aufwand und einem erheblichen Zeitbedarf verbunden. So ist insbesondere bei komplex aufgebauten Bedieneinrichtungen oft der Zugang zu den Anzeigeelementen der implementierten Elektronik der Bedieneinrichtung nötig. Anschließend kann der Anwender vor Ort, z.B. per Videoverbindung der Servicekraft, ohne Eingriff (z.B. Aufschrauben der Bedieneinrichtung) in die Bedienrichtung, der Servicekraft wichtige Informationen zur Fehlerbehebung zukommen lassen.
