Afin d'optimiser le conditionnement d'un appareil de cuisson comportant une cuve et un couvercle, il est connu de positionner le couvercle dans une position qui ne correspond pas à une position normale d'usage, par exemple à l'envers, au dessus de la cuve, dans une structure d'emballage. Il est alors utile de disposer un organe de calage afin d'éviter, lors du transport ou du stockage, toute friction entre ces deux parties, ce qui pourrait endommager l'appareil de cuisson. D'une manière générale, il convient de caler les différentes parties constitutives d'un appareil de cuisson, dans sa structure d'emballage, afin de le préserver de toute détérioration. Pour cela, il est connu d'utiliser des pièces de calage en matériau relativement dense et léger, par exemple en polystyrène, afin de maintenir en position la cuve et le couvercle dans l'emballage de l'appareil de cuisson. De telles pièces de calage doivent être configurées spécifiquement pour chaque appareil de cuisson et emballage. Par ailleurs, ces pièces de calage sont souvent formées de plusieurs éléments indépendants, ce qui ne facilite pas leur production et leur mise en place.
