Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft Verfahren zum Bedrucken von Substraten, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Substrate mit einer Zusammensetzung, welche ein durch radikalische Polymerisation von ethylenisch ungesättigten Verbindungen (Monomere) erhältliches Polymer (im nachfolgenden kurz Polymer genannt) enthält, vorbehandelt sind und es sich bei mindestens 1 Gew. % der Monomere um Monomere mit zwei Carbonsäuregruppen (Dicarbonsäure) oder einer Dicarbonsäureanhydridgruppe (im nachfolgenden zusammenfassend kurz Anhydrid-Monomer genannt) handelt.
Wesentliches Merkmal elektrophotographischer Druckverfahren ist, dass elektrosta- tisch geladene Farbstoffsysteme, sogenannte Toner, verwendet werden und ein elektrostatisches Ladungsbild erzeugt wird, welches in unterschiedlicher Weise entwickelt werden kann.
In den elektrophotographischen Druckverfahren werden zwei physikalisch unterschied- liehe Tonersysteme eingesetzt: Trockentoner (d. h. Toner, der bei Raumtemperatur in fester Form vorliegt und erst unter Wärmeeinwirkung bei relativ hohen Temperaturen von ca. 130 °C flüssig wird) sowie Flüssigtoner (Toner, der einen sehr niedrigen Schmelzpunkt aufweist).
Elektrostatische Druckverfahren mit einem Flüssigtoner werden auch als LEP (liquid electrostatic printing) oder Indigo-Druckverfahren bezeichnet.
Aufgrund des niedrigen Schmelzpunkts und der niedrigen Fixiertemperatur des Toners auf dem Papier (im allgemeinen zwischen 40 bis 100 °C) ist die Tonerhaftung auf Pa- pier bei dem LEP-Verfahren häufig unzureichend.
WO 96/06384 beschreibt die Verbesserung der Haftung des Flüssigtoners auf Papiersubstraten durch Behandlung der Oberfläche mit Substanzen, die eine basische Funktionalität tragen, wobei ausschließlich und bevorzugt Polyethylenimine (PEI, z. B. Po- lymin P), ethoxylierte PEIs, Epichlorhydrine-Polyethylenimine sowie Polyamide genannt werden. Ein entscheidender Nachteil dieser Behandlungsmethode ist jedoch die Weißeabtrübung (Verlust an Weiße) sowie die Vergilbung des Papiers bei längeren Lagern.
In US 5,281 ,507 wird die Verwendung von (teilweise) fluorierten Kohlenwasserstoffen bzw. Tensiden auf der Substratoberfläche zur Verbesserung des Druckbildes sowie der Tonerhaftung beschrieben.
In EP-A 0 879 917 werden Mischungen von Salzen (z. B. Aluminatsalze oder Salze einer schwachen Säure und einer starken Base) verwendet, um der Papieroberfläche einen alkalischen pH-Wert zu verleihen, der wiederum eine verbesserte Bedruckbarkeit mittels Flüssig-Toner bewirkt.
In WO 2004/092483 wird die Oberflächenbehandlung von Papier mit einer Kombination aus Stärke, einem Acrylsäure-Polymer und einer weiteren organischen Verbindung, z. B. einem Polyglycerinester, beschrieben. Die Verwendung des Polyglycerinesters wird als essentiell angesehen, um eine gute Tonerfixierung zu erreichen.
Aufgabe der vorliegenden Erfindung war die Verbesserung der elektrostatischen Druckverfahren, insbesondere des LEP-Verfahrens. Aufgabe war auch, geeignete Substrate für derartige Druckverfahren zur Verfügung zu stellen. Durch möglichst einfache Maßnahmen sollte insbesondere eine möglichst gute Fixierung des Flüssigtoners auf unterschiedlichen Papierqualitäten ermöglicht werden.
Demgemäss wurde das oben definierte Verfahren gefunden.
Ein wesentliches Merkmal der Erfindung ist, dass die Substrate mit einer Zusammen- setzung, welche ein durch radikalische Polymerisation von ethylenisch ungesättigten Verbindungen (Monomere) erhältliches Polymer (im nachfolgenden kurz Polymer genannt) enthält, vorbehandelt sind und es sich bei mindestens 1 Gew. % der Monomere um Monomere mit zwei Carbonsäuregruppen (Dicarbonsäure) oder mit einer Dicar- bonsäureanhydridgruppe (im nachfolgenden zusammenfassend kurz Anhydrid- Monomere genannt) handelt.
Zusammensetzung
Zum Polymer
Das Polymer ist durch radikalische Polymerisation von ethylenisch ungesättigten Verbindungen (Monomere) erhältlich. Soweit im folgenden davon die Rede ist, dass das Polymer aus diesem Monomeren besteht oder Monomere enthält, ist zu beachten, dass die Monomeren nach der Polymerisation natürlich nicht mehr als ethylenisch un- gesättige Verbindungen vorliegen.
Das Polymer enthält Anhydrid-Monomere. Als Anhydrid-Monomere genannt seien insbesondere Dicarbonsäuren oder Dicarbonsäureanhydride mit 4 bis 8 C Atomen, beispielsweise Maleinsäureanydrid oder Maleinsäure (zusammen kurz MSA genannt), Itaconsäureanhydrid, Citraconsäureanhydrid oder Methylenmalonsäureanhydrid. Bevorzugt ist MSA oder Itaconsäureanhydrid, besonders bevorzugt MSA.
Das Polymer besteht vorzugsweise zu mindestens 2, insbesondere mindestens 5 Gew.-%, besonders bevorzugt zu mindestens 10 Gew. bzw. mindestens 20 Gew.-% aus Anhydrid-Monomeren.
Der Gehalt an Anhydrid-Monomeren im Polymer kann z. B. 2 bis 80 Gew. %, insbesondere 20 bis 80 Gew. % betragen.
Die Anhydrid-Monomere können auch in Form ihrer Salze vorliegen.
Neben den Anhydrid-Monomeren kann das Polymer Monomere (b), ausgewählt aus C1-C20-Alkyl(meth)acrylaten, Vinylestern von bis zu 20 C-Atome enthaltenden Carbonsäuren, Vinylaromaten mit bis zu 20 C-Atomen, ethylenisch ungesättigten Nitrilen, Vinylhalogeniden, Vinylethern von 1 bis 10 C-Atome enthaltenden Alkoholen, aliphati- schen Kohlenwasserstoffen mit mindestens 2 C-Atomen und ein oder zwei Doppelbin- düngen oder Mischungen dieser Monomere enthalten.
Zu nennen sind z. B. (Meth)acrylsäurealkylester mit einem C1-C10-Alkylrest, wie Me- thyl-methacrylat, Methylacrylat, n-Butylacrylat, Ethylacrylat und 2-Ethylhexylacrylat.
Insbesondere sind auch Mischungen der (Meth)acrylsäurealkylester geeignet.
Vinylester von Carbonsäuren mit 1 bis 20 C-Atomen sind z. B. Vinyllaurat, -stearat, Vinylpropionat, Versaticsäurevinylester und Vinylacetat.
Als vinylaromatische Verbindungen kommen Vinyltoluol, a- und p-Methylstyrol, a-Butylstyrol, 4-n-Butylstyrol, 4-n-Decylstyrol und vorzugsweise Styrol in Betracht. Beispiele für Nitrile sind Acrylnitril und Methacrylnitril.
Die Vinylhalogenide sind mit Chlor, Fluor oder Brom substituierte ethylenisch ungesät- tigte Verbindungen, bevorzugt Vinylchlorid und Vinylidenchlorid.
Als Vinylether zu nennen sind z. B. Vinylmethylether oder Vinylisobutylether. Bevorzugt wird Vinylether von 1 bis 4 C-Atome enthaltenden Alkoholen.
Als Kohlenwasserstoffe mit mindestens 2 C Atomen und ein oder zwei olefinischen
Doppelbindungen seien Monoolefine wie Ethylen, Propylen oder Isobutylen, insbesondere auch deren Oligomeren wie Polyisobuten (PIB) oder Diolefine wie Butadien, I- sopren und Chloropren genannt. Bevorzugt sind die Monoolefine.
Als Monomere (b) bevorzugt sind Monoolefine, insbesondere Ethylen, Isobutylen, PoIy- isobutylen, C1- bis C10-Alkylacrylate und -methacrylate, insbesondere C1- bis C8-
Alkylacrylate und -methacrylate, und Vinylaromaten, insbesondere Styrol und Mischungen dieser Monomeren
Besonders bevorzugt sind Ethylen und Isobutylen oder Polyisobutylen als Monomere (b)
MSA copolymerisiert mit Olefinen nur alternierend. MSA/Olefin- copolymere haben daher im allgemeinen einen Gehalt von maximal 55 mol-% MSA. Der molare Anteil des MSA im MSA/Olefin- Copolymeren beträgt insbesondere 5 bis 55 mol-%, besonders bevorzugt zu 20 bis 55 mol-% und ganz besonders bevorzugt zu 45 bis 55 mol-%.
Neben den Monomeren (b) kann das Polymer oder Polymergemisch beliebige weitere Hilfsmonomere (c) enthalten, z. B. Monomere mit einer Carbonsäuregruppe, mit SuI- fonsäure- oder Phosphonsäuregruppen.
Hilfsmonomere sind z. B. auch Hydroxylgruppen enthaltende Monomere, insbesondere C1-C10-Hydroxyalkyl(meth)acrylate, (Meth)acrylamid.
In Betracht kommen z. B. monoethylenisch ungesättigte C3- bis C10-Monocarbon- säuren, wie Acrylsäure, Methacrylsäure, Ethylacrylsäure, Allylessigsäure, Crotonsäure, Vinylessigsäure, Maleinsäurehalbester wie Maleinsäuremonomethylester, deren Mischungen bzw. deren Alkali- und Ammoniumsalze in Betracht.
Als Hilfsmonomere (c) seien darüberhinaus Phenyloxyethylglykolmono- (meth-)acrylat, Glycidylacrylat, Glycidylmethacrylat, Amino- (meth-)acrylate wie 2-Aminoethyl-(meth) acrylat genannt.
Als Hilfsmonomere seien auch vernetzende Monomere genannt.
Auch genannt seien N-Vinylformamid, N-Vinyl-N-methylformamid, N-Vinylpyrrolidon, N-Vinylimidazol, 1-Vinyl-2-methylimidazol, 1-Vinyl-2-methyl-imidazolon, N-Vinyl- caprolactam, Allylalkohol, 2-Vinylpyridin, 4-Vinylpyridin, Acrolein, Methacrolein bzw. Mischungen davon.
Das Polymer ist insgesamt vorzugsweise aufgebaut aus
2 bis 80 Gew.-% Anhydrid-Monomer (a)
20 bis 98 Gew.-% Monomere (b)
0 bis 30 Gew.-% Hilfsmonomere (c)
Das Polymer ist insgesamt besonders bevorzugt aufgebaut aus
10 bis 80 Gew.-% Anhydrid-Monomer 30,0 bis 90 Gew.-% Monomere (b) und 0 bis 30 Gew.-% Hilfsmonomere (c)
Die Polymerisate können nach üblichen Polymerisationsverfahren hergestellt werden, z. B. durch Substanz-, Emulsions-, Suspensions-, Dispersions-, Fällungs und Lö- sungspolymerisation. Bei den genannten Polymerisationsverfahren wird bevorzugt unter Ausschluss von Sauerstoff gearbeitet, vorzugsweise in einem Stickstoffstrom. Für alle Polymerisationsmethoden werden die üblichen Apparaturen verwendet, z. B. Rührkessel, Rührkesselkaskaden, Autoklaven, Rohrreaktoren und Kneter. Bevorzugt wird nach der Methode der Lösungs-, Emulsions-, Fällungs- oder Suspensionspolyme- risation gearbeitet. Besonders bevorzugt sind die Methoden der Lösungs- oder Verdünnungsmittel, wie z. B. Toluol, o-Xylol, p-Xylol, Cumol, Chlorbenzol, Ethylbenzol, technischen Mischungen von Alkylaromaten, Cyclohexan, technischen Aliphatenmi- schungen, Aceton, Cyclohexanon, Tetrahydrofuran, Dioxan, Glykolen und Glykolderi- vaten, Polyalkylenglykolen und deren Derivaten, Diethylether, tert.-Butylmethylether, Essigsäuremethylester, Isopropanol, Ethanol, Wasser oder Mischungen wie z. B.
Isopropanol/Wasser-Mischungen ausgeführt werden. Vorzugsweise wird als Lösungsoder Verdünnungsmittel Wasser gegebenenfalls mit Anteilen bis zu 60 Gew.-% an Alkoholen oder Glykolen verwendet. Besonders bevorzugt wird Wasser eingesetzt.
Beim Polymer handelt es sich vorzugsweise um ein Emulsionspolymerisat oder Lösungspolymerisat.
Das Polymer liegt vorzugsweise in Form einer wässrigen Dispersion oder wässerigen Lösung vor; der Feststoffgehalt ist vorzugsweise 10 bis 80 Gew.-%, insbesondere 30 bis 65 Gew.-%.
Zu weiteren Bestandteilen
In einer weiteren bevorzugten Ausführungsform enthält die Zusammensetzung neben dem Polymer auch Stärke.
Unter Stärke soll in diesem Zusammenhang jegliche native, modifizierte oder abgebaute Stärke verstanden werden. Native Stärken können aus Amylose, Amylopektin oder deren Gemische bestehen. Bei modifizierter Stärke kann es sich um oxydierte Stärke, Stärkeester oder Stärkeether handeln. In Betracht kommt anionisch, kationisch, amphoter oder nicht ionisch modifizierte Stärke.
Durch Hydrolyse kann das Molgewicht der Stärke verringert werden (abgebaute Stärken) Als Abbauprodukte kommen Oligosaccharide oder Dextrine in Betracht.
Die Stärke kann aus verschiedenen Quellen stammen, es kann sich z. B. um Getreide- Mais oder Kartoffelstärke handeln, insbesondere z. B. Stärke aus Mais, Wachsmais, Reis, Tapioka, Weizen, Gerste oder Hafer.
Bevorzugt ist Kartoffelstärke, bzw. modifizierte oder abgebaute Kartoffelstärke.
Insbesondere enthält die Zusammensetzung 10 bis 100 Gew. Teile, besonders bevorzugt 50 bis 100 Gew. % Polymer und 90 bis 0 Gew. Teile, besonders bevorzugt 50 bis 0 Gew. % Stärke, bezogen auf 100 Gew. Teile der Summe von Polymer und Stärke.
Die Zusammensetzung kann weitere Bestandteile enthalten, geeignete Additive sind z. B. in WO 2004/092483 beschrieben; genannt sei z. B. Polygylcerinester.
Die Mitverwendung weiterer Additive ist jedoch im Rahmen der vorliegenden Erfindung nicht zwingend notwendig, insbesondere werden für die verbesserte Haftung des Toners keine weiteren Additive benötigt.
Vorzugsweise handelt es sich um eine wässrige Zusammensetzung, insbesondere eine Zusammensetzung, in welcher das Polymer und gegebenenfalls die Stärke gelöst oder dispergiert sind.
Die Zusammensetzung kann nach üblichen Verfahren auf die zu bedruckenden Substrate aufgetragen werden, bevorzugt sind dabei Verfahren, bei denen die Zusammensetzung nicht oder kaum in das Substrat eindiffundiert, z. B. Auftrag mit der Filmpresse, durch Sprühen oder durch curtain coating).
Zum Verfahren und den zu bedruckenden Substraten
Die mit der Zusammensetzung vorbehandelten Substrate werden vorzugsweise in einem elektrophotographischen Druckverfahren bedruckt.
Wesentliches Merkmal elektrophotographischer Druckverfahren ist, dass elektrostatisch geladene Farbstoffsysteme, sogenannte Toner, verwendet werden und ein elektrostatisches Ladungsbild erzeugt wird, welches in unterschiedlicher weise entwickelt werden kann.
Besonders bevorzugt handelt es sich um das als LEP (liquid electrostatic printing) oder Indigo - Druckverfahren bezeichnete elektrostatische Druckverfahren.
Ein wesentliches Merkmal dieses Druckverfahrens ist die Verwendung eines Flüssigtoners, der bei Raumtemperatur (20 °C) als Flüssigkeit oder als viskose Paste vorliegt.
Die Temperatur, bei der der Toner auf dem Substrat fixiert wird, ist im Vergleich zu anderen elektrostatischen Verfahren relativ niedrig und liegt z. B. zwischen 40 und 100 0C.
Bei dem zu bedruckenden Substrat kann es sich z. B. um Papier oder Polymerfolie handelt.
Vorzugsweise handelt es sich um ungestrichenes Papier, also Rohpapier, welche nicht mit einer Papierstreichmasse beschichtet ist, jedoch können auch andere Papierqualitäten damit behandelt werden, um die Haftung des Flüssigtoners zu verbessern.
Insbesondere kann es sich bei dem zu bedruckenden Substrat auch um holzfreies Papier handeln.
Das zu bedruckende Substrat ist mit der Zusammensetzung vorbehandelt, insbesondere beschichtet (siehe oben). Die Menge der Zusammensetzung beträgt dabei vorzugs- weise 0,05g/m2 bis 15g/m2 (fest), vorzugsweise 0,1 g/m2 bis 5g/m2 (fest.
Durch Verwendung der vorbehandelten Substrate werden bei üblichen Druckverfahren, insbesondere aber bei elektrostatischen Verfahren und vorzugsweise beim LEP Verfahren hervorragende Ergebnisse erzielt. Die Haftung des Toners auf dem Substrat ist sehr gut und das Druckbild hat eine hohe Qualität.
Beispiele
Beispiel 1
245 g Maleinsäureanhydrid und 250 g Oligoisobuten (Mw = 1.000 g/mol) wurden in 400 g o-Xylol in einem 2 L-Kessel mit Trockeneiskühler vorgelegt und im schwachen Stickstoffstrom auf 120°C erhitzt. Nach Erreichen dieser Temperatur wurde innerhalb von 3 Std. 1050 g Oligoisobuten (Mw = 1.000 g/mol), innerhalb von 5 Std. 98 g Isobuten und innerhalb von 5,5 Std. 10,4 g tert-Butylperoctoat gelöst in 40 g o-Xylol zudosiert. Anschließend wurde 1 Stunde bei 120 °C nacherhitzt. Nach Abkühlen auf 90°C wurden 2900 g Wasser zugegeben und das o-Xylol durch Wasserdampfdestillation entfernt. Das resultierende Reaktionsgemisch wurde auf 60 °C abgekühlt, mit 200 g 50%iger Natronlauge versetzt und mit Wasser auf einen Wassergehalt von 65 % eingestellt. Anschl. wurde 1 Std. bei 60°C gerührt und danach auf Raumtemperatur abgekühlt. Man erhielt erfindungsgemäße Dispersion D.1. Sie hatte einen pH-Wert von 6,7, Mw = ca. 10.000 g/mol
Beispiel 2
108 g Maleinsäureanhydrid wurden in 490 g Pluriol A 500 E (Polyethylenglykolmono- methylether, Mw = 500 g/mol) gelöst und unter Rühren in einer Stickstoffatmosphäre auf 90 °C erhitzt. Bei dieser Temperatur wurden innerhalb von zwei Stunden 7,85 g tert.-Butylperoctoat, gelöst in 67,2 g Pluriol A 500 E und eine Lösung von 0,49 g Hydrochinonmonomethylether in 1 12 g Styrol langsam zugetropft. Das erhaltene Reaktionsgemisch wurde dann eine Stunde bei 90 °C und anschl. 4 Stunden bei 150 °C gerührt, wobei ein braunes Öl entstand. Es wurde auf 85°C abgekühlt. Das Öl wurde mit 400 g Wasser verdünnt und mit 13,0 g einer wässrigen Wasserstoffperoxid-Lösung (30 Gew.-%) versetzt. Nach 30 min Nachrühren verdünnte man nochmals mit 170 g Wasser. Bei max. 40 °C Innentemperatur wurde mit Natronlauge (50 Gew.-%) auf einen pH-Wert von 8,5-9,5 eingestellt und zwei Stunden nachgerührt. Anschließend kühlte man auf Raumtemperatur ab. Man erhielt erfindungsgemäße Dispersion D.2.
Charakterisierung: pH: 8,7; K-Wert (2%ig in Wasser): 38,3*; GPC: Zahlenmittel Mn = 3500; GPC Gewichtsmittel Mw = 41200; Feststoffgehalt: 54%.
Die K-Werte der erfindungsgemäßen Copolymerisate wurden nach H. Fikentscher, Cellulose-Chemie, Band 13, 58-64 und 761-774 (1932) in wässriger Lösung bei 25°C und einer Polymerkonzentration von 2 Gew.-% bestimmt.
Applikation der Stärke/Polymer-Mischungen
Eine oxidativ abgebaute Kartoffelstärke wurde gemäß den Angaben des Herstellers bei einer Konzentration von 20% in Wasser für 30 Minuten auf 95°C erhitzt. Anschließend wurde die Stärkelösung auf 10% Feststoffgehalt verdünnt und auf ca. 60°C abgekühlt. Aus dieser Stärkelösung sowie den in den Beispielen beschriebenen Polymeren wurden Formulierungen hergestellt, wobei der Feststoffgehalt der fertigen Formulierung auf 10% eingestellt wurde. Diese Mischungen wurden mittels einer Leimpresse auf ein holzfreies Papier (Flächengewicht 90g/m2) appliziert. Anschließend wurden die Papiere durch Kontakttrocknung bei 90°C getrocknet und dann 24h bei einer relativen Luftfeuchte von 50% und einer Temperatur von 24°C klimatisiert. Die Papiere wurden dann kalandriert (1 Nip, 100daN/cm).
Die Druckversuche wurden auf einer Hewlett-Packard Indigo Digital Druckmaschine 3000 durchgeführt. Die Tonerhaftung wurde gemäß der tape pull Methode (DIN V EN V 12283) mit einem Klebeband 3M #230 Klebeband durchgeführt. Dazu wurde das Klebeband blasenfrei auf die bedruckte Fläche aufgeklebt und dann mit konstanter Ge- schwindigkeit in einem Winkel von nahezu 180° abgezogen. Nach dem Rupftest wurde die Farbdichte des Drucks mittels eines Densitometers bestimmt und als Wert in der Ergebnistabelle angegeben. Die Bestimmung der Tonerhaftung bzw. der Farbdichte
nach dem Rupftest erfolgte nach bestimmten Zeitabständen (sofort/ 1min/ 10min / 1h / 24h).
Claims
1. Verfahren zum Bedrucken von Substraten, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Substrate mit einer Zusammensetzung, welche ein durch radikalische Polymeri- sation von ethylenisch ungesättigten Verbindungen (Monomere) erhältliches Polymer (im nachfolgenden kurz Polymer genannt) enthält, vorbehandelt sind und es sich bei mindestens 1 Gew. % der Monomere um Monomere mit zwei Carbonsäuregruppen (Dicarbonsäure) oder einer Dicarbonsäureanhydridgruppe (im nachfolgenden zusammenfassend kurz Anhydrid-Monomer genannt) handelt.
2. Verfahren gemäß Anspruch 1 , dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass es sich bei dem Anhydrid-Monomer um Maleinsäure oder Maleinsäureanhydrid (kurz MSA) handelt.
3. Verfahren gemäß einem der Ansprüche 1 oder 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das Polymer zu 2 bis 80 Gew. % aus dem Anhydrid-Monomer besteht.
4. Verfahren gemäß einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 3, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das Polymer zu 20 bis 80 Gew. % aus dem Anhydrid-Monomer besteht.
5. Verfahren gemäß einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 4, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das Polymer Monomere (b), ausgewählt aus C1-C20-Alkyl(meth)acrylaten, Vinyl- estern von bis zu 20 C-Atome enthaltenden Carbonsäuren, Vinylaromaten mit bis zu 20 C-Atomen, ethylenisch ungesättigten Nitrilen, Vinylhalogeniden, Vinyl- ethern von 1 bis 10 C-Atome enthaltenden Alkoholen, aliphatischen Kohlenwasserstoffen mit mindestens 2 C-Atomen und ein oder zwei Doppelbindungen oder Mischungen dieser Monomere enthält.
6. Verfahren gemäß einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 5, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das Polymer aufgebaut ist aus
2 bis 80 Gew.-% Anhydrid-Monomer (a) 40 bis 98 Gew.-% Monomere (b) und 0 bis 30 Gew.-% weitere Monomere (c)
7. Verfahren gemäß einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 6, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass es sich bei dem Polymer um ein Ethylen/ MSA-copolymer handelt, welches zu 5 bis 55 mol-%, besonders bevorzugt zu 20 bis 55 ιmol-% und ganz besonders bevorzugt zu 45 bis 55 mol % aus MSA besteht.
8. Verfahren gemäß einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 7, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das Polymer in Form einer wässrigen Dispersion oder Lösung vorliegt.
9. Verfahren gemäß einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 8, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Zusammensetzung neben dem Polymer auch Stärke enthält.
10. Verfahren gemäß einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 9, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Zusammensetzung 10 bis 100 Gew. Teile Polymer und 0 bis 90 Gew. Teile
Stärke, bezogen auf 100 Gew. Teile der Summe aus Polymer und Stärke, enthält.
1 1. Verfahren gemäß einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 10, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass es sich bei der Zusammensetzung um eine wässrige Lösung oder Dispersion handelt.
12. Verfahren gemäß einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 11 , dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass es sich bei dem Druckverfahren um ein elektrophotographisches Verfahren han- delt.
13. Verfahren gemäß einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 12, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass es sich bei dem Druckverfahren um das LEP-Verfahren (Liquid Electropho- tographic Printing) handelt.
14. Verfahren gemäß einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 13, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass es sich bei dem zu bedruckenden Substrat um Papier oder Polymerfolie handelt.
15. Verfahren gemäß einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 14, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass es sich bei dem zu bedruckenden Substrat um ungestrichenes Papier handelt.
16. Verfahren gemäß einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 15, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass es sich bei dem zu bedruckenden Substrat um holzfreies Papier handelt.
17. Verfahren gemäß einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 16, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das Substrat mit der Zusammensetzung beschichtet oder imprägniert ist.
18. Verfahren gemäß einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 17, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das Substrat mit 0,05 g/m2 bis 15 g/m2, bevorzugt mit 0,1 g/m2 bis 5g/m2 der Zu- sammensetzung (fest) beschichtet oder imprägniert ist.
19. Durch das Verfahren gemäß Ansprüchen 1 bis 18 erhältliche bedruckte Substrate.
20. Papier, welches mit einer Zusammensetzung gemäß einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 1 1 beschichtet oder imprägniert ist.
