Abstract

A forming, filling and sealing machine for producing bags from semifinished products, and for filling and closing the bags, includes a plurality of processing stations. At least two processing stations of at least one first group are successively, largely linearly, arranged in the horizontal plane (x, z) in the transport direction (z) of the bags. The bags or semifinished products are transported between the processing stations by transport devices which generally include gripping devices. The machine also includes at least one second group having at least one processing station that is not linearly arranged behind the first group in the horizontal plane (x, z) in the processing direction (z) of the bags.

Description

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Form-, Fill-, Sealmaschine sowie Verfahren zum Herstellen, Befüllen und Schließen von Säcken. The invention relates to a form, fill, seal machine and method for producing, filling and closing of bags.

Such machines are known and used in various fields of technology. On these machines, the formation of a bag ("Form"), its filling ("Fill") and its sealing ("Seal") made. Therefore, in terms of these machines, the term FFS for form, fill and seal machines has also prevailed in German-speaking countries.

Besonders leistungsfähige und automatisierte Varianten dieser Maschinen wickeln einen Kunststoffschlauch von einer Abwickelstation ab, nehmen eine Querschweißung an diesem vor, vereinzeln den mit Querschweißungen versehenen Schlauch zu Säcken (= Schlauchstück mit Querschweißung), öffnen den Sack, befüllen den Sack mit einem Füllrohr mit Füllgut, schließen den Sack, versehen die verschlossene Sacköffnung mit einer weiteren den Sack verschließenden Querschweißung und legen den fertigen und befüllten Sack auf einer geeigneten Palette oder einem Transportmittel wie einem Förderband ab.Particularly efficient and automated variants of these machines wrap a plastic tube from a unwinding station, make a transverse weld on this, singulate the tube provided with transverse welds to bags (= piece of tube with transverse welding), open the bag, fill the bag with a filling tube with filling material, Close the bag, provide the closed bag opening with another closing the bag closing transverse and place the finished and filled bag on a suitable pallet or a means of transport such as a conveyor belt.

Often, each or at least a plurality of said processing steps are associated with their own processing stations. In this case, suitable means of transport should be provided. If one already considers the unwinding as a processing station, then the transport means with which the hose is brought from the unwinding to the transverse welding and the cutting device generally comprise typical hose transport means such as guide rollers and rollers. After Separation of the sacks will require more unusual means of transport, which as a rule comprise gripping means, since the sacks are generally to be grasped at their still open end and transported. In this case, the closed end usually hangs down. As gripping means often find individual gripper tongs or gripper pair use.

For example, the shows EP 1 201 539 B1 such a machine. The manner in which bags or semi-finished sacks are transported or manufactured in the machine shown in this publication, the sequence of the individual processing stations on each other as well as the manner in which bags are made, filled and sealed in this machine is for the understanding of This document is essential and is hereby included in the scope of the same.
With such a machine, bags can be made and filled in a very rapid sequence.
When presented in the aforementioned document machine all processing stations - at least at the time in which they are handed over a bag or semi-finished bag - arranged in the horizontal plane in the processing direction of the bags largely rectilinear to each other. As a rule, the horizontal level corresponds to the hall floor on which the machine stands. Another way to define this level functionally, would be in a modern, provided with hose processing machine after the EP 1 201 539 B1 the plane that is defined by the axis of the unwinding and withdrawal direction of the hose. This distinction is not unimportant, since it is to be admitted that various processing stations according to the aforementioned document, but also after the US 6,401,439 , Can be spaced apart in the vertical direction.
Similar machines as in the EP 1 201 539 B1 are also in the DE 199 20 478 A1 , of the DE 197 08 596 C1 and the EP 1 459 981 A1 shown.
The EP 0 283 293 A2 shows a packaging machine with the bags in boxes to integrate and fill. In this machine, not all processing stations follow each other in a straight line.
The reduction of the maintenance and operating costs of a machine, as for example in the EP 1 201 539 B1 is shown, one is persistent continuing task of the machine designers. Maintaining a reasonable processing speed is also important.
Therefore, the object of the present invention is to provide a maintenance and operating cost-effective machine, with which a good processing speed is to be realized.
The object is solved by the characterizing features of claims 1 and 10.

It has been found that the operability and maintainability of such a machine with rectilinearly arranged processing stations is expandable.

The object of the present invention is therefore achieved in that at least one second group of at least one processing station in the horizontal plane (x, z) in the processing direction of the bags (z) is not arranged in a straight line behind the first (rectilinearly arranged) group.

In this case, in particular, the accessibility of the processing stations, which are directly adjacent to the "kink" or the transverse transport means, which effectively interrupt the straight transport line, increases.

Particularly useful is this interruption of the straight line, when behind the first rectilinear group of processing stations and the interruption of the "straight line" a second group with more than one processing station follows. Then the accessibility of a plurality of processing stations increases. In this second group can also prevail again a straight arrangement of processing stations.

Advantages exist when the interruption is made by a transverse transport, which takes place substantially perpendicular to the previous rectilinear transport. However, other angles are also conceivable and they initially fall under the definition of transverse transport in the sense of this application, since a change in the transport direction by, for example, 30 ° naturally also results in the transverse transport in a vectorial sense containing transverse components.

However, the term "transverse transport" refers to the transport of sacks or sack components as well as semi-finished sacks (these terms are often used interchangeably in the present application and the term sacks often includes the other two terms) between the processing stations, but not transportation entire processing stations. Naturally, a transport of entire processing stations can also be used for the transport and transverse transport of machines located in the respective processing station Sacks relative to the machine frame lead, but is not meant. Due to the weight in particular of filling stations, the transport of the same has not been proven.

In the present application, it is assumed that mainly stationary processing stations and the "bag transport" is understood as the transfer of the bag from one to the next processing station. The at least one second group can also be connected again at a 90 ° angle to the transverse transport.

Of course, the wording of at least one second group shows that at least two, three or four such second groups are intended, which suggests a modular structure of the first and second groups. A plurality of second groups is particularly advantageous if it contains processing stations whose processing speed is slower than the processing speed of the processing stations of the first group. Such a significant difference in the processing speed is achieved, for example, when filling dusty goods between the filling station and the stations upstream of it, since the dusty goods reduce the possible filling speed. Examples of dusty goods are cement and titanium dioxide. These substances form in the free fall of the filling member to the sack so large amounts of dust that the cleanliness of the machine hall, the functionality of the machine and especially the weldability of the film in the sack opening are affected significantly. Also, the retention of air in the filled and closed bag is a problem with these contents.

Therefore, various measures to reduce the dust and the air intake are considered in the contents, which partly in the EP 1 459 981 A1 mentioned are:
  • a screw conveyor for conveying dusty goods into a sack,
  • Lifting means for changing the relative distance between the bag bottom of a bag to be filled and the outlet opening of the conveying means,
  • Control means which control the distance between the discharge opening of the conveying means and the filling level of the bag during the filling process,
  • Extraction means which suck air out of the bag during and / or after the filling process (es),
  • Rattling devices that shake the bag during and / or after filling (s).

At least part of these measures reduce the filling speed compared to a device such as those mentioned and incorporated in the opening paragraph EP 1 201 539 B1 shown, however, considerably.

It is therefore advantageous to provide in particular several filling stations in one machine. Against the background of the present invention, therefore, the interruption of the straight-line transport could take place after the transverse welding or separating station. After bag filling, the bags filled by a plurality of filling stations could be returned to common processing stations. Thus, the closing and welding could be carried out either by common stations or by the filling stations individually assigned stations.

It has also been found that in connection with the transverse transport for reasons of processing speed, a transfer or intermediate station can be arranged profitably. Such a station has gripping means and usually holds the bag for a fraction of a machine cycle. It can be arranged before or after the transverse transport. These grippers can also perform movements in the bag transport direction.

The FIGS. 1 to 4 and 7 show sketches of inventive machines 2, in which the transport means 6, 10, 11, 12, 21, 22 and the individual processing stations 4, 7, 9, 12, 13 have been shown only stylized. For a more detailed presentation of these items is in particular the already cited and incorporated several times EP 1 201 539 B1 as well as the ones mentioned EP 1 459 981 A1 and US 6,401,439 which have more meticulous descriptions and figures in this regard.

This note applies in particular also with respect to the gripper tongs and gripper tongs 10, 11 as well as the type and direction (especially z) in which they 10, 11 transport the sacks 1 through the machine 2. Also the related passages of EP 1 201 539 B1 are expressly incorporated into the scope of the present specification. Decisive for the bag transport in modern machines is the reliable intermittent transfer of already isolated sacks (= hose piece with bottom seam) from station to station with the aforementioned gripping means 10, 11 or 21, 22. Here accomplish the gripping means usually a straight line Transport in the direction of transport z (exception, of course, the transverse transport in the x direction). In modern machines like the one in the EP 1 201 539 B1 As shown, the gripper tongs or gripper pair 10, 11 grip the sack opening at their ends. When tightening the bag opening, the bag walls touch, forming a right angle with the transport direction z, so are aligned in the x direction.

This also corresponds to the conveying direction (z) and orientation of the walls of the tube 5 (in the x-direction) after and during unwinding.

Especially in the Figures 1 and 2 should again be made clear the sequence of processing stations.

After the settlement 4, in which a plastic tube 5 is unwound from a roll 6, a transverse weld on the tube 5 is made and this is separated by a cross-cutting cut. The two latter processing steps take place in the transverse welding and separating station 7.

Then the transverse transport takes place with the aid of gripping means, which can also perform a movement in the x-direction. These are outlined here only by the arrow 8. After the transverse transport of the tube 1 enters the filling station 9, in which the bags 1 are filled.

Subsequently, the bags are closed in the closing station 12, in which a top seam of the bag is usually formed by a further transverse welding. Sketches 3 and 4 show an alternative construction of an FFS machine in which an intermediate or transfer station 13 is provided between the cross-cutting station 7 and the filling station 9. In the illustrated case, it is associated with the second group of processing stations 9, 12 which, like the first group of processing stations 4, 7 in the horizontal plane formed here by the x and z coordinates, are straight in the transport direction of the bags z arranged one behind the other. In both exemplary embodiments shown, the first group of processing stations 4, 7 thus includes the components 4, 7, which are also referred to collectively as sack-making part 3 and which produce bags which are open at the top.

Other processing stations - such as a Rüttelstation for compacting the filling material and / or a conveyor belt for further transport and the support of the filled bags - are not shown in the figures, but may be considered as processing stations in the context of the present application.

To clarify the function of the intermediate station are in the FIGS. 5 and 6 Gripper tongs 10 and 11 shown. In them 10, 11 are those means of transport that hold the sacks 1 in the region of the filling station 9 and further transport. The feeding of the bags to the filling station 9 takes place in FIG. 5 thus by the symbolized by the arrow 8 cross-transport device. This includes not shown, but suitable gripping means that take over the transverse transport in the x direction.

In FIG. 6 Again, an embodiment with an intermediate station 13 is shown. Here, the transverse transport device 8 passes the sacks 1 first to the pair of gripper tongs 21 and 22. These two gripper tongs then take over the transport in the sack transporting direction z, which is also indicated here by the arrows 18. As a result of this transport through this pair of gripper tongs 21, 22, the sacks 1 return to the area of the filling station 9 in which the other pair of gripper tongs 10, 11 again arrive in the same way as in FIG FIG. 5 the further transport of the sacks 1 takes over.

A characteristic of the transport of sacks 1 or sack components in modern FFS machines, as for example in the EP 1 201 539 B1 are shown, it consists - as already mentioned several times - in the use of gripper pairs or individual gripper tongs 10, 11, 21, 22, the bags in the in FIG. 8 transport shown way:

In such machines (as in the EP 1 201 539 B1 The gripper tongs or pair of gripper tongs 10, 11 engage the sack opening at their ends 23, 24. When the sack opening is tightened, the sack walls 25, 26 contact each other, forming a right angle with the transport direction z and running along the x direction.

FIG. 9 illustrates once again the meaning of the last introduced terms based on a plan view of a "tightly drawn" bag opening, which was omitted for illustrative reasons, a contact between the two bag walls 24 and 25 represent. It is clear, however, that the bag walls in this transport situation are aligned in the x direction, while the bag is transported in the z direction.

There are also known machines in which the function of a gripper pair of grippers is taken over by a single gripper, but in which the transport of the bags 1 and their orientation during transport to the transport direction z is the same.

FIG. 7 shows essentially a machine 2 according to the invention, which corresponds to that in the FIGS. 3 and 4 illustrated embodiment is constructed. In particular, the bag filling and closing part 20, which contains the filling station 9 and the closing station 12 and here forms the first second group of processing stations, is assigned an intermediate station 13. However, the machine has 2 in FIG. 7 about two such Sackfüll- and -schließteile 20. These can also be constructed (in relation to the longitudinal axis of the machine 2) a mirror image. In this context, the advantages of a modular construction of the bag making and bag filling and closing part 20 are shown.
