Description

The invention relates to a flat band heddle with end eyelet, shaft and thread eye, made of a metal band section.

Healds, for example, made of flat steel strip in a punching process. It will be removed from a metal band blanks games to obtain the desired outer shape of the heald. The removed parts are waste, but this contributes significantly to the material consumption.

It is sometimes necessary to provide healds with a bend, in particular adjacent healds on a heald are often cranked away in opposite directions from each other. This creates an offset between the thread eyes of adjacent healds with respect to the warp thread longitudinal direction to facilitate the passage of warp threads between the healds. Paired healds with different staggered shafts are from the US Pat. No. 7,204,274 B2 and the CH 468 489 and the DE 10 2005 033 175 B3 known. These heddles each have a straight edge extending along the shaft and the end eyelet. The achievable gap between the shafts of adjacent healds is limited.

Next is for example from the US 1,545,904 the production of healds on flat material known, each forming a relatively narrow sheet metal strip. The end loops are symmetrically connected to the shank, which may be provided with a bend to define an enlarged yarn passage between adjacent healds.

Furthermore, from the US 2,973,786 a heddle set consisting of different cranked healds known, the healds are made of a metallic sheet. Following the end eyelets, the shafts of the healds are designed so that there is an enlarged thread passage space between adjacent healds.

Finally, out of the US 644,371 a heddle is known, which is made of a narrow sheet metal strip, have been prepared in the thread eye and end eyelet in slotted sections by widening. In addition, the shaft of such a heddle can be formed cranked. On both sides of the thread eye, the shank has been flattened in an embossing process in order to bring about increased elasticity in warp thread longitudinal direction.

Although the production of elongated openings by slitting and widening is a material-saving process, but it requires a relatively strong material deformation, which limits the choice of materials and the possibilities of material optimization.

From the DE-A-976 459 Flachstahlweblitzen are known with annularly closed end eyelets, starting from which the flat steel material tapers towards a shank on both sides. Immediately after the end loop the shaft has a crank.

It is an object of the invention to provide a heald and serving for their production rational production process, which is to be made possible a material-saving production of high-performance healds.

This object is achieved with the ribbon heddle according to claim 1, as well as with the method according to claim 8:

The Flachbandweblitze invention consists of a metal strip portion whose original width corresponds to the width at the Endöse. Material has been removed along the shaft, for example in a punching process or the like. Between the end eyelet and the shaft, a transition section is formed, in which the width is reduced from the end eyelet width to the shaft width. The heald has a straight edge on the end eyelet which, at some distance from the end eyelet, has either a portion leading away from a longitudinal centerline of the heald, at either the transitional portion or on the shaft, in a kink or bow. As a result, the outer edge of the shaft is offset by an amount X. The center of the thread eye is preferably approximately on a line connecting the outer edges of the end eyelets.

Such a heald can be made of a metal strip whose width is not greater than the width of the end eyelets. Nevertheless, in Kettfadenlängsrichtung a large offset between the thread eye and Endöse can be achieved.

Starting from an initially flat Flachbandweblitze, preferably flat, ie unbound is formed and thus the end lug, transition portion and shaft are arranged in a common plane, preferably against each other not twisted, the shaft is subsequently arranged offset relative to the end eyelets. This after cutting or punching the heald not yet present but subsequently generated offset of the shaft against the end eyelets is achieved by a plastic deformation of the transition region or a portion of the shaft within said plane. This is done by means of a corresponding embossing process. But it is also possible to integrate the punching and embossing into one step and to perform in a common tool. Again, there is a plastic deformation of the shaft or transition region to form the crank or the offset.

  • FIG. 9 a modified embodiment of a flat ribbon heald according to the invention by illustrating its end.

In FIG. 1 For example, a ribbon hank blank 1 is illustrated that has been stamped from a width B metal strip. This width B is lower than usual for punched flat band healds. The flat-heddle web blank 1 has two end loops 2, 3, between which a shaft 4 is provided. This connects via transition areas 5, 6 to the end eyelets. In the manufacture of the flat-heddle web blank 1, openings 7, 8 have been introduced into the end regions of the sheet-metal strip section in order to form the end eyelets 2, 3. These openings may have a closed edge or, as shown, also a broken edge. Depending on the result, O-end eyelets (such as for example FIG. 8 ) or C-end eyelets (as in Figure 1 to 6 ) or J-end eyelets (as in FIG. 7 ).

The flat-band heddle blank 1 has a straight edge 9 which extends from the upper end of the upper end eyelet 7 to the lower end of the lower end eyelet 8. This straight edge 9 corresponds to a side edge of the original metal band section. From the opposite straight edge, however, only two sections 10, 11 are left at the end eyes 2, 3. In an intermediate portion including the transition portions 5, 6 and the shaft 4, material was removed from the metal band portion (e.g., in a punching or cutting operation), thereby forming inward edge portions 12, 13 and an inwardly offset edge portion 14. The shaft 4 has also been provided with a thread eye 15, in which a corresponding opening has been introduced at the desired location. Further openings 16, 17 can be provided on the end eyes 2, 3 or in the transitional areas 5, 6.

FIG. 2 FIG. 12 illustrates another ribbon heald bladder 18. While in the flat ribbon heald frame 1, the straight continuous edge 9 is located on the side of the edge interruption of the openings 7, 8, this continuous edge 9 in the flat-heddle wire blank 18 after FIG. 2 arranged on the other side of the blank and thus extends over the closed edges of the end loops 2, 3 continuously away. The sections 10, 11 are arranged on the sides of the end loops 2, 3, at which the edge thereof is interrupted. The same applies to the edge portions 12, 13, 14. Otherwise, the description of the flat-heddle wire blank 1 applies correspondingly to the heald wire 18 based on the same reference numerals.

If the two heddle blanks 1, 18 superimposed, the picture follows FIG. 3 , Between the edge portions 14 remains a distance D, which is relatively small. Although the heddle blanks 1, 18 can already be used as healds in this state, due to the small distance D there is the risk of injury to the warp threads which would have to pass between the heddle blanks 1, 18.

The heddle blanks 1, 18 therefore undergo a further processing step, for example an embossing step, in the course of which they undergo, for example, an offset away from one another in the transitional areas 5, 6. They are deformed within the plane defined by the end eyelets 2, 3 and the shaft 4 so that the thread eye 15 is located on an imaginary line 19, as the former position of the edge 9 marked. This imaginary line 19 connects remaining portions 9a, 9b of the edge 9, which are still present at the end eyelets 2, 3. The thread eye 15 lies with its center on the line 19 or is beyond this outwards, ie in FIG. 4 bent to the left. It is arranged in the middle section 9c of the former edge 9. This section 9c is at a distance X to the Line 19. The distance X is preferably at least as large as half the width B1 of the shaft 4 in the region of the thread eye 15. The edge 9 is divided in the forming process into sections, namely the sections 9a, 9b, which lie on the line 19 and pass with an outwardly directed bend or arc into sections 9d, 9e which lead the edge away from the line 19 and merge into the central section 9c, which in turn is straight.

The ribbon heald 20 produced in this way requires a smaller amount of material for its production than healds punched out of a correspondingly wider metal band section. Compared to healds with flared end loops, there are fewer local material deformations. The choice of material can be optimized.

A complementary flat ribbon heald 21 can be produced from the ribbon heald 18. Again, a forming process is carried out, during which the center of the shaft 4 is brought to the line 19, which marks the former course of the edge 9. The edge 9 is thereby divided into the sections 9a, 9b, 9c, 9d, 9e. The previous description of the ribbon heald wire blank 18 and the flatweave heald 20 applies correspondingly on the basis of the same reference numerals.

Be the flat-band heddles 20, 21, such FIG. 6 illustrates, suitably superimposed, as they are lined up on mounting rails, it turns out that the shanks 4 are bent away from each other. It therefore arises in the field of thread eyes 15 between the edge portions 14 of the shafts 4, a distance R, which is substantially greater than the distance D according to FIG. 3 , The distance R is preferably as large as half the width B1 of the shaft 4, ideally as large as the width B1 of the shaft 4.

FIG. 7 illustrates a modified heald pair 22 with J-shaped end eyelets 2, 3. Incidentally, the above statements apply accordingly on the basis of the same reference numerals.

Ein Weblitzenpaar 23 mit ringförmigen Endösen 2, 3 veranschaulicht Figur 8. Wiederum gilt die vorige Beschreibung entsprechend.A heald pair 23 with annular end loops 2, 3 illustrated FIG. 8 , Again, the previous description applies accordingly.

While the offset of the portion 9c of the edge 9 in all previous embodiments is arranged on the transitional sections 5, 6, it is also possible to lay this offset in the region of the shaft 4. Such an example shows FIG. 9 , While the transition region 5 reduces the width of the heald from the greater width B in the region of the end eyelet 2 to the smaller width A of the shaft 4, the straight portion 9a of the edge 9 extends both over the end eyelet 2 and over the transition region 5 The adjoining shank 4 is bent, so that the section 9d of the edge 9 lies in the region of the shank 4. Again, immediately adjoins the straight portion 9a via a bow or a bend of the outwardly facing portion 9d.

The healds according to the invention consist of a metal strip section of width B which is narrower than the total width B + X required for the flat stranded strand 20. The flat strip strand 20 has a substantially unprocessed, in any case uncircumcised, originating from the metal strip portion edge 9 and an edge 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 which has been generated in the region of the shaft 4 and the transition sections 5, 6 by trimming the metal strip portion , An outward turn of the shaft 4 creates an increased distance R between two associated oppositely cranked flat-band healds of a heald pair 23, to which two oppositely cranked flat-band healds 20, 21 belong.
