Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft einen elektrischen Steckverbinder, umfassend einen zylindrischen Stiftkontakt (1) und einen Buchsenkontakt (2) mit einem hyperbolisch tordierten Kontaktkäfig (3) mit einer Vielzahl von parallel verlaufenden tordierten Kontaktlamellen (4), welche einen im Wesentlichen zylindrischen Kontaktaufnahmeraum (5) zur Aufnahme des zylindrischen Stiftkontaktes (1) bilden, wobei sich der Kontaktkäfig (3) zur Mitte des Kontaktaufnahmeraums (5) hin in seinem Durchmesser verjüngt, wobei die Außenkontur des zylindrischen Stiftkontaktes (1) vergrößert ist gegenüber dem Kontaktaufnahmeraum (5) im Lamellenbereich (6), so dass die Kontaktlamellen (4) beim Stecken des zylindrischen Stiftkontaktes (1) in den Buchsenkontakt (2) neben ihrem radialen Ausfedern zusätzlich eine Längenstreckung und plastische Verformung so erfahren, dass die Kontaktlamellen (4) dadurch flächig über die Außenkontur des zylindrischen Stiftkontaktes (1) gespannt werden, wobei die Gesamtfläche der von den Kontaktlamellen überdeckten Innenfläche des Kontaktaufnahmeraums 20 % bis 40 % überspannt und wobei die Fläche der Zwischenräume, die durch die Kontaktlamellen gebildet werden, 60 % bis 80 % überdeckt, wobei der Kontaktkäfig über Außen angeordnete Bundstege (7a,7b) verfügt, welche zueinander tordiert sind und das der Torsionswinkel des hyperbolisch tordierten Kontaktkäfigs (32) so gewählt ist, dass der Durchmesser im Lamellenbereich zwischen 81 % und 92 % gegenüber dem Innendurchmesser im Bereich der Bundstege eingeschnürt ist, vorzugsweise 84 % bis 89 %.
