Claims (6)
- A timepiece comprising a flexible endless ribbon (10) bearing time indications (13, 14) and stretched between two parallel rollers (11, 12), and a drive mechanism for turning at least one of these rollers, comprising a spring wound up inside a barrel, an escapement and a regulator member coupled to the escapement, characterized in that said spring is wound up inside at least one of said rollers which thus forms the barrel of the drive mechanism.
- The timepiece according to claim 1, characterized in that, in said mechanism, the two rollers (11, 12) are identical and form barrels which are coupled identically, by one of their ends (19), via a train (20, 21, 22), to a unique escapement (24) and regulator member (26) located substantially halfway between the two.
- The timepiece according to one of claims 1 and 2, characterized in that said mechanism is configured such that the ribbon (10) completes, in the counterclockwise direction, one or several complete rotations in 24 hours.
- The timepiece according to one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the spring contained in the rollers is, in fact, formed by a plurality of elementary springs arranged side by side.
- The timepiece according to one of claims 2 to 4, characterized in that, to allow winding of the two springs, each roller ends, at its other end, with a ratchet (29) meshing, substantially halfway between the two rollers, via a train (30, 31), with a central winding pinion (32) which can be actuated by a control stem (34).
- The timepiece according to claim 5, characterized in that, to allow setting of the ribbon, the control stem (34) can turn a shaft (38) arranged parallel to the two rollers in contact with the ribbon, so as to exert a friction thereon which causes it to slide on the rollers.
