Abstract

Disclosed is a fitting for a piece of furniture (20) that is to be suspended on a building wall by means of at least one suspension device (10). Said suspension device (10) rests against an external side of a wall element (21, 22) of the piece of furniture (20) by means of a fastening plate (11), said external side of the wall element (21, 22) facing the building wall. An angled profiled member (1), which cooperates with the fastening plate (11) of the suspension device (10) with the aid of a leg (2) that corresponds to the fastening plate (11) and can be joined to the suspension device (10) via the wall element 21, 22) located between the suspension device (10) and the leg (2), is disposed in a corner region between at least two adjoining wall elements (21, 22, 23) on the internal side of the piece of furniture (20), at the level of the suspension device (10). The wall element (21, 22) is permanently clamped between the suspension device (10) and the leg (2) in the used position of the wall element (21, 22). The inventive fitting comprises at least one additional leg (3) that can be connected to another wall element (21, 22, 23).

Description

The present invention relates to a fitting for a piece of furniture to be suspended from a building wall.

Furniture to be hung on the wall is often fastened to the wall with concealed hangers, the wall being provided with appropriate guiding or hanging devices at a suitable location intended to co-operate with the hanger. Hanger are available as one-piece, metallic components in all sorts of variations in the trade. They are preferably mounted on the back of a wall piece to be hung furniture.

However, the back wall of furniture is relatively thin compared to other wall elements and thus not particularly well suited for the attachment of a hanger, which usually has to carry relatively high loads, so that the risk of breaking out of the hanger consists of the rear wall.

Attempts have been made to circumvent this danger by attaching hangers for pieces of furniture, which are provided with a mounting plate and rest on the outside of the rear wall, additionally or exclusively to the more stable side wall. Such attachment can be achieved, for example, via lateral pins which are arranged on the mounting plate of the hanger and engage in corresponding bores in the side wall. Such hangers are in the DE 295 07 071 U1 described. However, it has been shown that the attachment in the side wall is not without problems. So it comes despite this additional attachment, especially for furniture that heavily loaded again and again, that the corresponding wall element to which the hanger is attached, breaks out.

It is therefore an object of the invention to provide a fitting for a piece of furniture available, in which a breaking out of the furniture difficult or even completely prevented. It is a further object of the invention to provide a piece of furniture which has a corresponding fitting.

This problem is solved by a fitting in which the hanger is combined with an angle profile. The angle profile is arranged corresponding to the outside arranged hanger on the inside of the piece of furniture and with the hanger and the corresponding wall element, on which the hanger abuts firmly connected.

Essential to the invention here is that the angle section has at least two legs, wherein the one leg is designed as a mounting plate, which is in communication with the mounting plate of the hanger to be stabilized and a first wall element, while the second leg, which is also designed as a mounting plate with a second wall element in communication, which gives the entire system additional stability.

The angle profile is arranged on the inside of the wall to be fastened to the building wall piece of furniture on the hanger opposite side of a wall element and fixedly connected via a first leg simultaneously with the wall element and the hanger. The second leg of the usually rectangular angle profile is attached to a further wall element and also firmly connected thereto. In this way the attachment of the hanger can be stabilized to the extent that the hanger can develop its full capacity without running the risk of breaking out of the wall element.

The wall element on which the hanger is arranged is usually the rear wall of the piece of furniture. However, the hanger can also be arranged on the rear wall and side wall or on the side wall alone. As additional wall elements for the attachment of the second leg of the angle profile come back wall, side wall and topsoil in question. Preferably, the fitting is arranged in the corner region between the rear and side walls. Usually angle profile and wall element or angle profile, wall element and hanger are connected by screws.

In its simplest embodiment, the fitting has an isosceles angle profile, which is designed as a longitudinal profile. In an advantageous embodiment, an additional reinforcement or fastening plate can be arranged at one or both ends of the longitudinal profile, which is perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the angle profile. This additional mounting plate is used, for example, to attach the angle profile in addition to attachment to the rear wall and side wall and the topsoil. An additional stabilization plate at the other end of the angle profile further enhances the system.

For the fixings, the angle profile is provided with corresponding holes for screws. In addition to these drill holes for screws, depending on the area of use, the angle profile may also have additional bores, openings or other devices whose function is dependent on the mode of operation of the hanger anknüpft. For example, the angle profile may have additional holes as access points for adjusting screws for height and / or depth adjustment of the hanger.

The fitting according to the invention can in principle be used for any type of furniture. It must be adapted only one leg of the angle profile of the mounting plate of the respective hanger for the piece of furniture. The mounting plate is then connected via the corresponding wall element, on which the hanger abuts with the angle profile and the additional and final stabilization of the system is achieved by the second leg of the angle profile, which is firmly connected to another wall element.

The fitting can be replaced by additional measures, such. As covers, etc., adapted to the design of the furniture and visually upgraded.

In the Fig. 1 is the outside of a section of a piece of furniture 20 with a top wall 23, a rear wall 21 and a side wall 22 can be seen. On the outside of the rear wall 21, a hanger 10 is arranged in the corner region between projecting side wall 22 and rear wall 21, which has an adjusting screw 12, a cranked support arm 13 and a mounting plate 11. The hanger 10 is attached to the side wall 22 with a plurality of pins which engage in corresponding holes in the side wall 22, which is not visible in this illustration.

The Fig. 2 shows the perspective view of the interior of the same piece of furniture 20 Fig. 1 with an upper wall 23, a side wall 22 and a rear wall 21. In the upper corner region between the rear wall 21 and the side wall 22, an angle section 1 is arranged, which has a leg 2, which is adapted to the mounting plate 11 of the hanger 10. The angle section 1 has in its first leg 2 holes 5, which allow access from the inside of the piece of furniture 20 fro adjusting screws 12 of the hanger 10, as well as drill holes 4, which serve the attachment. The second leg 3 of the angle section 1 is fixed to the side wall 22 and is connected thereto, whereby the additional stabilization of the entire system is effected. The upper end of the angle section 1 extends to the topsoil 23, where it rests with an additional mounting plate 6 and is firmly connected thereto.

The Fig. 3 shows a preferred embodiment of the angle profile 1 according to the invention with a hanger 10 adapted leg 2, another mounting leg 3 and a perpendicular thereto arranged additional mounting plate 6. In the legs 2 and 3 and the mounting plate 6 various holes 4 are provided for the attachment of the angle section 1 on the piece of furniture 20. The leg 2 additionally has two drill openings 5, which serve as access to adjusting screws 12.

The Fig. 4 shows a further preferred embodiment of an angle profile 1 according to the invention, in which compared to the angle profile 1 in Fig. 3 additional stabilization of the angle profile 1 at its second end by a reinforcing plate 7, which is arranged perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the angle section 1 between the two legs 2 and 3, takes place.

The Fig. 5 shows the cross section of a section of a piece of furniture 20 with a side wall 22, a top wall 23 and a rear wall 21. On the outside of the rear wall 21 of the hanger 10 with a cranked support arm 13, an adjusting screw 12 and a mounting plate 11 is arranged. Correspondingly, an angle profile 1 is arranged on the inside of the piece of furniture 10, of which in this illustration, however, only the second mounting leg 3 with holes 4 for attachment to the side wall 22 can be seen.

Claims (12)

1. Fitting for a piece of furniture (20) to be suspended by means of at least one hanger (10), said hanger (10) butting with a fastening plate (11) against the outside of a wall element (21, 22) of the piece of furniture (20), which wall element faces towards a building wall,
   characterised in that
   on the inside of the piece of furniture (20), an angle section (1) is arranged in a corner area between at least two abutting wall elements (21, 22, 23) at the level of the hanger (10), an arm (2) of said angle section, which corresponds to the fastening plate (11), cooperating with the fastening plate (11) of the hanger (10) and being designed to be connected to the hanger (10) via the wall element (21, 22) located between the hanger (10) and the leg (2), said wall element (21, 22) being firmly clamped between the hanger (10) and the leg (2) in the use condition of the wall element (21, 22) and having at least one further leg (3) designed to be connected to a further wall element (21, 22, 23).
2. The fitting as claimed in Claim 1, characterised in that the leg (2) and the fastening plate (11) have corresponding hole patterns.

The fitting as claimed in Claim 1 or 2, characterised in that the angle section (1) has an additional reinforcement and/or fastening plate (6, 7) at least at one end, said additional reinforcement and/or fastening plate being positioned between the legs (2, 3) of the angle section (1) and being orientated vertically thereto.
4. The fitting as claimed in any one of Claims 1 to 3, characterised in that bores (4) for screw connections are provided on the legs (2, 3) and/or the additional reinforcement and fastening plate (6, 7).
5. The fitting as claimed in any one of Claims 1 to 4, characterised in that additional bores (5), openings or other means are provided on the leg (2) depending on the functioning mode of the hanger (10).

The fitting as claimed in any one of Claims 1 to 5, characterised in that the hanger (10) is implemented as an adjustable suspension fitting having adjustment screws (12) accessible for height and depth adjustment from the inside of the piece of furniture, and the angle section (1) having additional bores (5) for providing access to the adjustment screws (12) on the leg (2) thereof that is operatively connected to the fastening plate (11) of the hanger (10).
7. The fitting as claimed in any one of Claims 1 to 6, characterised in that the wall elements (21, 22, 23) are selected from the group consisting of a rear wall (21), a lateral wall (22) and a top wall (23).
8. The fitting as claimed in any one of Claims 1 to 7, characterised in that the angle section (1), the wall elements (21, 22, 23) as well as the hanger (10) are connected to each other by screws.

The fitting as claimed in any one of Claims 1 to 8, characterised in that the hanger (10) is positioned on the outside of the rear wall (21) of the piece of furniture (20) and the leg (2) of the angle section (1), which is in operative connection with the fastening plate (11) of the hanger (10), is positioned on the inside of the piece of furniture (20) in a corner area between the rear wall (21) and the lateral wall (22).
10. The fitting as claimed in any one of Claims 1 to 9, characterised in that the hanger (10) is positioned in an upper corner area between the upper edge and the lateral edge on the outside of the rear wall (21) of the piece of furniture (20).

The fitting as claimed in any one of Claims 1 to 10, characterised in that the angle section (1) is positioned on the inside of the piece of furniture in the upper corner area between the lateral and rear walls and butts with the additional reinforcement and fastening plate (6) against the bottom side of the top wall (23) and is connected thereto.
12. Piece of furniture (20) to be suspended on a housing wall, comprising a fitting as claimed in any one of Claims 1 to 11.
