Abstract

A dispensing assembly comprises a syringe and at least one accessory, such as a mixer or a closure cap. The syringe defines a first fastening area with a first pair of retaining elements, and the accessory defines a second fastening area with a second pair of retaining elements. The accessory has a housing with two mutually opposite, compressible housing portions. These housing portions are offset in relation to the second pair of retaining elements along the circumference of the housing. The fastening areas are configured such that the accessory is capable to be slipped-on the syringe and removable therefrom without a twisting motion, by applying pressure to the compressible housing portions.

Description

The present invention relates to a dispensing assembly with a syringe or cartridge having at least one container and at least one accessory according to the preamble of claim 1.

There are a large number of syringes, double syringes or cartridges or double cartridges known to which are connected for discharging accessories, such as mixers, discharge tips, spray nozzles or spacers.

The prior art generally knows two types of mounting options, on the one hand mounting parts of the bayonet type and on the other hand fasteners with screw rings. Common to these fasteners that either the fasteners are relatively expensive to produce or in the case of a part is more available, and overall the coupling and removal of the parts can be cumbersome.

In the US 2005/230422 A1 Another type of attachment according to the preamble of claim 1 is disclosed, in which the mixer or accessory is snapped onto the cartridge by means of hooks and, when pressure is applied to the attachment region of the cartridge, retaining lugs located there are brought out of engagement with hooks on the mixer.

In the DE 202 19 529 U1 there is disclosed a snap fastener in which spring arms are attached to the outlet of the cartridge which are deformed for latching with an accessory. To release the connection, a pressure on the spring arms must also be exercised.

It is accordingly an object of the present invention to provide a dispensing assembly with a syringe or cartridge with at least one container to which the accessories are easy to couple or to remove them and their production costs are lower than in known arrangements.

Another object of the invention is to increase the retention of the accessories on the cartridge with the same coupling and removal options.

These objects are achieved by a discharge arrangement according to claim 1. Advantageous embodiments will become apparent from the dependent claims.

The term "syringe" in the following means both a single and a double or multiple syringe or a single, double or multiple cartridge. There are also double cartridges with concentric arrangement of the container or a cylindrical container with partition possible.

According to one embodiment of the invention, a dispensing assembly having a syringe or cartridge with at least one container and at least one accessory comprises a first attachment area on the syringe or cartridge comprising first retention means on the syringe or cartridge and a second attachment area on an accessory, a housing and second retaining means on the Enclosure of the accessory includes. The attachment region is understood to be the region on or in the circumference of the syringe or cartridge or the accessory which is involved in the attachment of the accessory to the syringe or cartridge. The first retention means of the syringe or cartridge and the second retention means on the accessory cooperate such that the accessory is attachable to the syringe or cartridge and removable without rotational movement by applying pressure to the attachment region of the accessory.

Fig. 24
shows the cap of Fig. 23 on an enlarged scale and in perspective view.

Fig. 1 zeigt eine Spritze 1 und eine Verschlusskappe 2. Fig. 1 shows a syringe 1 and a cap 2. As already mentioned, the term "syringe" in the following both a single syringe and a double or multiple syringe and a single cartridge or. Meant double or multiple cartridge. The drawn syringes are all double syringes.

The syringe 1 has two containers 3 and 4 and a retaining flange 5. In contrast to conventional syringes whose attachment portion 6 has no bayonet fasteners or screw on, but snap connection means which cooperate with corresponding snap connection means on the accessory such as cap, mixer, adapter, spray nozzle or other accessories together.

The outlet-side fastening region 6 has an outlet flange 7, on which the two are separated Outlets 8 and 9 are arranged. Each outlet 8 and 9 has a substantially diametrically disposed, outwardly facing web 10 and 11 which, starting from the outlet flange 7, tapers towards the outlet. Each web has a saddle 12, or 13, which ends at a distance from the outlet flange and there into a latching nose 14 and 15, respectively, which engage in the snap-in openings 26, 26A.

The two saddles 12 and 13 are not the same design, the saddle 12 in this example, the outlet side has a final web 16, which is missing at the saddle 13. The presence or absence of the end web 16 results in a coding, so that the accessory can be plugged exclusively in a clear orientation. The two outlets are further in their by the arrows V - V in Fig. 3 defined connection plane on both sides provided with clamping guides 17. In addition, the outlet flange 7 has a visual coding nose 18, which serves as an orientation aid for the accessory, which has a corresponding orientation nose 19.

Fig. 4 shows the cap 2 with a substantially oval mounting portion 20, wherein on the housing a corrugation 21 is arranged as a finger rest. The cap has in the interior a male part 22 with two pins 23 and 24, see Fig. 5 and a clamping member 25 which is shaped so that it can be plugged over the outlets and the clamping guides 17, there unfolds a clamping effect.

A substantially oval mounting portion, or oval housing portion 28, has been found to be particularly advantageous for its compressibility, but the invention is not limited to this form. The invention also relates to a housing part with a circular or different kind cross section.

The clamping member 25 has in the direction of the connecting line VV between the two outlets two coding slots 27 and 27A, wherein the coding slots have different widths to receive either the end web 16 of saddle 12 or the web 11 with saddle 13 without end web, that is the width of the coding slots 27, 27A are also coding means which ensure that the cap can always be plugged in only one position in order to prevent contamination in the case of repeated use.

In particular from Fig. 5 shows that cap 2 has at its open end two opposite Einschnappöffnungen 26, 26 A, which engage behind the latching noses 14 and 15 on the syringe, so as to secure. To ensure locking. The snap-in openings 26, 26A are provided offset to the compressible housing portions of the accessory, or the cap 2, on the mounting portion of the accessory, as in FIG. 4 is shown.

In Fig. 3 is the force and in Fig. 4 the deformation is drawn when pressed on the housing portions of the mounting portion 20 of the accessory 2 on both sides. In this case is off Fig. 4 by dash-dotted lines can be seen that the housing part is compressed with the ribs 21 and thereby the snap-in openings 26, 26A indicated by the arrows S from the latching lugs 14, 15 and thereby release the latching lugs and thus the accessory can be pulled off in the direction R.

In FIGS. 6 and 7 is shown as an accessory, a mixer 29, the mounting portion 30 analogous to Attachment portion 20 of the cap is executed, wherein the two separate inlets 31 and 32 are slidable over the outlets 8 and 9 of the syringe. The cross section of the mixer attachment region 30 substantially corresponds to the cross section of the attachment region 6 according to FIGS FIGS. 4 and 5 the syringe, or closure, with the snap-in openings 30A and 30B.

In Fig. 8 is shown as an accessory, an intermediate piece 35, which has a syringe-side mounting portion 36 and a zuberhörseitigen mounting portion 37. The two attachment regions are identical to the attachment regions described above, ie, the compressible attachment region 36 corresponds to the attachment region 30 of the previous example, and the attachment region 37 corresponds to the attachment region 6 of the syringe. The intermediate tube 38 may be rigid or flexible and includes two channels that separate the two components.

In the FIGS. 9 and 10 a variant is drawn with a double syringe 50, in which the two containers 51 and 52 have a different diameter, or a different volume, for example 4: 1. Accordingly, the outlets 53 and 54 have different diameters, while the remaining parts of the mounting portion 59 are the same as before.

It is logical that, accordingly, the plugs 56 and 57 of cap 58 and the inlets 31 and 32 of the mixer have different diameters, while also here the remaining parts of the mounting portion 59 are the same as before. Due to the different diameters the outlets, or plug and mixer inlets results in a further coding option.

In the embodiments according to the Fig. 1 to 10 was described a particularly inexpensive to produce and easy to handle Austraganordnung. But there may also be reasons that make it seem advantageous, existing syringes with z. B. to use bayonet connections.

In the Fig. 11 to 14 Embodiments are shown in which is assumed by a conventional syringe with bayonet connection. In Fig. 11 such a double syringe 39 is shown having bayonet claws 40. In order to connect plug-in accessories to such a conventional double syringe, an adapter 41 is required, which can be connected on the one hand to the syringe and on the other hand has a mounting region, as shown in the preceding examples. For this purpose, the adapter 41 has bayonet cams 42 and coding segments 42A, which may be coded like the bayonet claws 40, as known in the art. On its other side, the adapter has a fastening region 43 which corresponds to the fastening region 6 of the preceding example. For aligning the attachable accessories, the adapter also has an alignment nose 44 and a coding nose 44A.

In Fig. 12 is analog Fig. 3 on the double syringe and the adapter, the cap 2 attached. Incidentally, the individual elements are the same as in Fig. 4 ,

In Fig. 13 It can be seen that the inlets 48 and 49 of the adapter are inserted into the outlets 60 and 61 of the double syringe and the bayonet connection 40 and 42 is engaged.

In Fig. 14 is analog Fig. 6 the outlet side of the double syringe 39 is located at which the adapter is locked and on which the mixer 29 is attached. The adapter 41 is identical to the adapter of Fig. 13 while the mixer 29 is identical to that according to Fig. 6 is and can be plugged in the same way and withdrawn.

Analogous to the adapter for bayonet connections, it is also possible to use an adapter for screw connections by means of a union nut between accessory and syringe. In this case, the adapter has a collar for a union nut and the thread is attached to the syringe outlet flange.

The embodiments according to the FIGS. 1 to 14 is common that the syringe is made in one piece with the at least two containers. This is disadvantageous for certain two-component materials because, if appropriate, the two components are not compatible with the plastic of the double-syringe or cartridge. Therefore, there are different requirements for the syringe material. For example, for the one component, a container made of polypropylene would be ideal, while for the other component a container made of polyamide would be necessary. In addition, there is a need in medicine to fill both components separately and to post-treat them in different processes, for example different ones Sterilization processes, sterile or non-sterile filling.

The solution of the second object is to provide a pluggable syringe, in particular a double syringe, which is robust and torsionally rigid and can accommodate a variety of conventional accessories without adapter parts. The embodiments according to the FIGS. 15 to 17 meet these demands.

In the embodiment according to FIG. 15 The double syringe 143 essentially comprises two cylindrical containers 144 and 145 which can be received in a rigid holder with container receptacles and receives the two cylinders over their full length. It can be provided locking means to hold the cylinder. The two cylindrical containers 144 and 145 each have an outlet 147 and 148 which has a smaller diameter than the container and at the edge of the end surfaces 149 and 150 of the container is arranged.

The attachment region 120 of the syringe is designed analogously to the first exemplary embodiments. Each outlet has a web 110, or 111, which tapers from the end face toward the outlet end. Each web has a saddle 112, or 113, which ends at a distance from the end face and there into a latching nose 114, or 115 passes, which engages in the snap-in openings 126, 126 A on the mixer 129.

As is conspicuous, the two saddles 112 and 113 are not the same, wherein saddle 112 in this example on the outlet side has a final web 116, which is missing at the saddle 113. Perpendicular to the plane defined by the webs clamping guides 117 are provided. In case of a Coding, a visual coding nose 118 may be attached to the end face, which cooperates with an orientation nose 119 on the mixer.

The syringe 162 according to the FIGS. 16 and 17 is similar to the one according to Fig. 15 However, the first container 163 together with the retaining flange 153 and the support wall 165 and the container receptacle 154 forms a unit, while the second container 164 is the same as container 145. The support wall 165 has a recess 166 for receiving the outlet of the second container, 163 on. On the container 163 cams 178 for holding down the second container 164 are arranged. The remaining parts, in particular the fastening region 120, are the same as previously described.

While in the embodiments according to the FIGS. 1 to 17 the attachment area is more suitable for double syringes, is in the FIGS. 18 to 24 an embodiment of a dispensing arrangement specified, the mounting region is designed for a stronger retention force and therefore more suitable for cartridges, where higher Austragskräfte prevail.

In Fig. 18 is a double cartridge 200 with the two containers 201 and 202 and an end flange 203 and a mixer 204 with mixer tube 205, mixing helix 204H and mixer inlet part 204A is shown in an exploded view. In Fig. 19 is the mounting portion 220 of the cartridge and in Fig. 20 the mounting portion 230 of the mixer well recognizable.

The mounting area 220 of the cartridge, see also Fig. 19 , Has a flange 206 which in the border region of both Container each has a snap opening 207, 208 and which has a visual coding 209 in the form of a nose. At its periphery, in the region of the two end faces of the container, the flange 206 has two coding edges 210, 211, wherein the one Kodierrand 211 includes a Kodierlücke 212.

Kartuschen-Mittelpunkte befinden, siehe insbesondere Fig. 19.A ring 215 is arranged around the two outlets 213 and 214. As in the present exemplary embodiment, the two outlets may have a different or a same diameter, wherein outlet 214 has a smaller diameter than outlet 213. Wreath 215 has an indentation 216, 217 in the snap-in openings 207 and 208. In deviation from the previously described embodiments according to the FIGS. 1 to 17 the snap lugs are not at the outlets, but at the rim 215, wherein the snap lugs 218, 219 are in the region of the connecting line of the two outlets, or cartridge centers, see in particular Fig. 19 ,

The mounting portion 230 of the mixer 204 is equipped accordingly. On the housing 221 of the mounting area of the mixer, the outer coding means are arranged, such as the visual coding nose 222, the coding cam 223 which fits into the coding gap 212 on the cartridge and a coding segment 224 which fits between the coding edges on the mixer. In Fig. 25, the inner elements of the mixer are shown, the two inlets 225 and 226 wherein the inlets corresponding to the outlets have different diameters, but may also have the same diameter. The mixer housing further has two snap-in openings 227 and 228 for receiving the snap-action lugs 218 and 219 on the cartridge.

In contrast to the previous embodiments, the attachment region of the mixer has two further retaining elements, the two snap strips 229 and 229A, whose lugs are adapted to engage the snap openings 207 and 208 on the cartridge flange so as to effect a stronger retention force than in the previous embodiments ,

In the sectional pictures of the Figures 21 and 22 FIG. 5 illustrates how, when the mixer is withdrawn from the cartridge, forces F act on the attachment area of the mixer to compress it in the direction of the two F-arrows and to expand in the direction of the two arrows S. This leads to the positions of this Figures 21 and 22 , in which Fig. 21 a section according to the XXI-XXI and Fig. 22 a section according to the plane XXII - XXII in Fig. 18 is and both sections illustrate that, according to Fig. 21 at the same time as pressing together the mounting area of the mixer, the snap openings 227 and 228 of the mixer are moved in the direction of the arrows S and out of engagement with the snap lugs 218 and 219 on the cartridge and according to Fig. 22 when compressing the attachment area of the mixer in the direction of the arrows F, the lugs of the snap bars 229 and 229A come out of engagement with the snap openings 207 and 208 on the cartridge. As a result of these two movements, the mixer can be withdrawn.
