Description

  • The invention relates to a double cartridge with a child safety device and a twin syringe with such a double cartridge.
  • Commercially available double cartridges, as they are known through public prior use, find application in the separate storage of two flowable media to be mixed in their application. Known examples of such flowable media are two-component adhesives. Commercially available double cartridges comprise a first chamber for receiving the first medium and a second chamber for receiving the second medium. Both chambers each have an output port for dispensing the flowable medium. The discharge openings can be closed by a common cap.
  • Known double cartridges furthermore comprise a bayonet mount arranged on both sides of the dispensing openings and bayonet flaps arranged opposite the cap. The bayonet joint formed by bayonet tabs and bayonet mount holds the cap sealingly on the discharge openings.
  • The known double cartridges have the disadvantage that the cap can be easily removed by improper use. This entails, for example, the danger that a child loosens the cap by playing around with it and releases the dispensing openings. The media flowing out of the discharge openings can considerably endanger the health of the child.
  • The invention has for its object to provide an improved double cartridge, wherein the cap is secured against accidental removal.
  • The object is achieved by a double cartridge with the features specified in the characterizing part of claim 1.
  • According to the invention, the bayonet connection in addition to a safety contour, whereby the cap is secured against accidental removal. In particular, the danger of removing the cap by a child playing is banned or at least significantly reduced.
  • The provision of the safety contour on the bayonet connection itself has the further advantage that the safety contour must be overcome when operating the bayonet connection itself. The handling of the safety contour therefore requires no additional operating steps.
  • The safety contour preferably has a guide projection and a recess corresponding to the guide projection. The cap is removable exactly when the guide projection and the recess are brought by rotational movement in overlapping relative rotational position. Due to the clearly protruding guide projection recognizes an adult user, the operation of the child safety immediately. The safety contour does not stand in the way of simple and intuitive handling.
  • In a preferred embodiment, the guide projection is disposed in a taper between the bayonet tabs of the cap and the recess in the bayonet mount. As a result, the guide projection emerges even more clearly.
  • The bayonet tabs of the cap can each have a stop element in the form of a survey. This prevents rotation of the cap beyond a desired rotational position. The removal and replacement of the cap is thereby further simplified.
  • Furthermore, the cap may comprise therein rotatably mounted sealing plug, which correspond to the discharge openings of the two chambers. This has the advantage that the dispensing openings are sealed regardless of a rotational position of the cap. An escape and mixing of the flowable media is consistently prevented when the cap is attached. In particular, the dispensing openings and the cap are not adhered by the intermixing media.
  • Furthermore, the invention comprises a twin syringe with a double cartridge according to the preceding claims. The twin syringe according to the invention comprises two syringe punches, of which the first syringe plunger in a first chamber of the double cartridge and the second syringe plunger in the second chamber of the double cartridge are axially displaceable. A uniform application of both flowable media is ensured by the fact that the syringe dies are connected to an outstanding from the double cartridge end.
