This device thus makes it possible to connect an electrical board of the
However, this connection device has several disadvantages.
Indeed, the connection operations can be long (typically more than one hour) and tedious, even dangerous for the crew or impossible in case of adverse weather conditions.
In addition, this type of connection is not compatible with the safety requirements applicable to ships and LNG terminals, in particular the need for quick disconnection, and also, the fact that the power lines must be isolated from the atmosphere. outside which can be explosive.
In addition, the electrical power that can be transferred by this kind of connection is limited; typically less than 15 MW, while the installed capacity on a LNG ship can be up to 30 MW.
The present invention therefore proposes to overcome the aforementioned drawbacks by proposing a method and a device for secure and fast connection of an electric power line between a ship and a terminal.
- unwinding means for unwinding a towing cable from the ship to a connecting end of said power line,
- docking means for docking said pull cable to said connecting end, and
- traction means for towing said power line to the ship, for connecting said connection end with an electrical interface of the ship.
Thus, the power line can be easily brought by the traction cable from a storage area to the terminal to be connected to the electrical interface of the ship. In addition, an emergency disconnection can be carried out in a simple manner by unwinding and then letting the end of the traction cable free, thus completely freeing the ship from the terminal.
According to one aspect of the invention, the connection device comprises flotation means for maintaining below the surface of the water at least a portion of said power line.
The power line being submerged is not exposed to the risks of operations in a potentially explosive atmosphere. Thus, the safety is fully compatible with the safety requirements applicable in particular to ships and LNG terminals.

Advantageously, the connection device comprises guiding means for guiding said connection end towards said electrical interface in order to ensure the electrical coupling between the ship and the terminal. Thus, the connection can be performed automatically.
In addition, the connecting device may comprise a barge for supporting an end portion of the power line comprising said connecting end, said barge comprising protection means for resting on the hull of the ship.

Thus, the support of the power line is facilitated and the security increased.
In a particular aspect, said end portion of the power line is stored on the barge and has a double envelope.
Thus, the aerial part of the power line can be protected from risks due to a potentially explosive atmosphere. In addition, the double jacket allows cooling by a fluid (eg water) of the electrical conductors of the power line.
According to another particular aspect, said barge comprises a box provided with joints surrounding the emergent portion of the power line and forming with the hull of the ship, the hull of the barge and the surface of the body of water a sealed zone vis-à-vis -vis from the outside.
This allows to isolate the potentially explosive atmosphere, the emerging part of the power line thus increasing the safety of the connection maneuvers.
Advantageously, the connection device comprises a fan, disposed on the ship or the barge, for putting said sealed area under overpressure, said fan drawing air from a non-gas zone. Thus, security is increased further.
The connection device may comprise a source of inert gas intended to fill said sealed zone with inert gas.
The traction means of the connection device may comprise a winch arranged on the ship for towing via the pulling cable the connecting end of said power line.
Advantageously, the traction means comprise a suspension means intended to compensate for the weight of said power line.

Thus, the duct opening under the waterline can protect the power line of any explosive atmosphere.
Advantageously, the end of the traction cable comprises a submersible buoy.
Thus, once past the opening of the conduit, the end of the towing cable can be easily brought to the surface to be connected to the connection end of said power line.

The unwinding means 7 are intended to unwind a pulling
The docking means 9 are intended to moor the
The traction means 11 are intended to pull via the pulling
Ainsi, le navire 3 peut être complètement libéré du terminal 5.In addition, this electrical coupling can be disconnected quickly and simply by unwinding and then letting the end of the

Thus, the power line 1 being immersed is not exposed to the risks of operations in a potentially explosive atmosphere in the case where the
In addition, the connection device according to this example comprises a
Thus, the connection maneuvers are as simple as those necessary for the establishment or the release of mooring lines and do not require additional manpower.
The
Optionally, the

It should be noted that the connection and disconnection operations are similar to conventional mooring operations and can be carried out by the mooring crews and the crew members performing the mooring maneuvers.

According to this example, the
Optionally, to protect even more effectively vis-à-vis a risk of explosive atmosphere, can be used a fan (not shown) placed on the
Ce gaz inerte peut être disponible soit à bord du navire 3, soit à bord de la barge 31, soit auprès du terminal 5.Another solution could be to use for this function a source of inert gas, for example nitrogen, to fill the sealed
This example shows that the traction means 11 comprise a
Optionally, the traction means 11 may comprise suspension means 69 intended to compensate for the weight of the power line 1.

Indeed, the power line 1 can be pulled inside the
Note that according to this configuration, one end of the towing
