In einem Abstand zum Ende dieser Leitung 24 ist das offene Ende 24a des Zulaufs für den Siphon 22 angeordnet, in das der Wasserstrahl 25 eintrifft und von dort aus durch den Siphon 22, durch die Eintrittsöffnung 18 in den Tank 21 der Dampferzeugungseinrichtung 12 gelangt. Die freie Fließstrecke 23 ist auch dazu geeignet, in einer Wäschebehandlungsmaschine 1 gemäß
Der Austritt des Wassers und/oder des Dampfes über Düse 17 geschieht auf die gleiche Art und Weise, wie vorstehend beschrieben. Der Siphon 22 hat ein abfallendes Rohrteil 22a auf der ankommenden Seite des Wassers, einen Scheitel 22b, der die tiefste Stelle des Siphons 22 bildet und ein aufsteigendes Rohrteil 22c auf der abgehenden Seite des Wassers, welches anschließend zum Tank 21 der Dampferzeugungseinrichtung 12 geleitet wird. Um das Einlaufen des Wassers in den Tank 21 zu verbessern, ist der Tank 21 so angeordnet, dass die Eintrittsöffnung 18 gegenüber der freien Fließstrecke 23 tiefer liegt, vorzugsweise um etwa 10 bis 30 mm. Um das Ausfließen des Wassers aus dem Tank 21 zuverlässig zu gestalten, ist der Scheitel 22b des Siphons 22 gegenüber der Düse 17 höher angeordnet, vorzugsweise 10 bis 40 cm. Das aufsteigende Rohrteil 22c hat hierbei einen um das 1,2 bis 1,8 fache größeren Durchmesser, als das abfallende Rohrteil 22a. Auf diese Weise wird sichergestellt, dass beim Wassereinlauf die im abfallenden Rohrteil 22a vorhandene Wassersäule bis zum Scheitel 22b abgesaugt wird und dadurch Luft durch das aufsteigende Rohrteil 22c in den Tank 21 nachströmen kann, wenn das Wasser durch die Düse 17 aus dem Behälter 21 herausströmt.
