Description

The invention relates to a skimmer for skis, having a base layer which has a skin layer on one outer side and an adhesive layer on an inner side, with which the ski skin can be detachably fastened on the ski. The invention also relates to a method for producing such a ski.

Skins have long been known as skins for skis. These skins have a base layer of a fabric or a foil. On an outside of the base layer, a skin layer is arranged, which has a plurality of hairs, which are directed towards the rear in the running direction. The fur layer prevents the ski from slipping back when the terrain is rising. Such fur layers are usually made of artificial materials.

On an inner side of the base layer, an adhesive layer is usually applied, which makes it possible to releasably secure the ski skin over the entire length of the ski. As a rule, a fitting is arranged at the front end of the skinning, with which the ski skin can be mechanically attached to the ski tip. Also possible is a fitting at the rear end of the ski skin.

Bei der Verwendung von Haftklebern zum Befestigen des Skifells am Ski, bestehen seit langem die folgenden Schwierigkeiten:When using pressure-sensitive adhesives to attach the ski to the ski, the following difficulties have long existed:

In the case of the adhesives used hitherto, the adhesion of the ski skis to the ski is significantly reduced at low temperatures. This often leads to falling off of ski skis on ski tours in particularly cold conditions and especially after repeated Auffellen the same tour.

In order to produce a sufficient initial tack, very high adhesive requirements of, for example, more than 250 g / m 2 must be achieved.

At high temperatures, which can reach even 40 ° C and more, can remain sticking on the underside of the skis glue peel off the skins.

If skins are stored in the moist state, they can be attacked by microorganisms and damaged comparatively quickly.

The adhesion of the known adhesive on the back of skins is not sufficient on many substrates, so that cotton substrates are still used, which also have disadvantages such as low tear strength, high weight, high moisture absorption and low dimensional stability under the influence of moisture and low resistance to microbial attack. In addition, cotton substrates can not be thermally edge-sealed. document WO2008 / 122061 describes a skimmer according to the preamble of claim 1.

The invention has for its object to provide a skimmer of the type mentioned, which avoids the disadvantages mentioned above. The problem is solved according to claim 1. In the case of the ski skin according to the invention, the adhesive layer is not made of an organic adhesive but of a silicone adhesive, as hitherto. Experiments have shown the following advantages in such a ski.

In the case of the present invention, an unaltered and sometimes even higher tackiness at temperatures down to -50 ° C. could be ascertained. The cohesion within the adhesive remained even at high temperatures, such as those achieved by exposure to sunlight. Even when reaching such temperatures, no sticking of glue on the underside of the ski could be detected.

The adhesive did not change its properties even if it came in contact with water, which can be the case especially on ski tours on warmer days.

A microbial infestation of the inventive Skells is not expected due to the inorganic origin.

It has also been shown that the inorganic adhesive can be partially crosslinked and the adhesion can also be optimized compared to other base materials than cotton. The variety of possible supporting layers is thus substantially increased. For example, films can also be used as base layers.

The inorganic adhesive is according to an embodiment of the invention, a silicone adhesive. This has the above advantages in particular. Such silicone adhesives are already known and commercially available.

According to a development of the invention, it is provided that the adhesive is only partially applied with a substantial layer thickness on the inside of the support layer. As a result, even with a comparatively low coating coverage over the entire area of, for example, 200 g / m 2, a sufficient level of tackiness is achieved. Another advantage of the local job is that two skins that accidentally stick together, with relatively little effort and without partial detachment of the adhesive from the support layer can be solved again from each other.

According to a development of the invention, the adhesive is applied in strips on the support layer. The strips of adhesive preferably extend in the direction of the ski skin. The width of the strips is preferably 1 to 3 mm and preferably 1.5 to 2.5 mm. Alternatively, a punctiform or other local order is conceivable. The adhesive areas may for example also be rectangular, for example square.

Die Schichtdicke beträgt dann beispielsweise 0,1 bis 0,4 mm und vorzugsweise 0,3 mm.Preferably, the inorganic adhesive is applied with a coating coverage of at least 200 g / m 2 and preferably at least 250 g / m 2 . The layer thickness is then, for example, 0.1 to 0.4 mm and preferably 0.3 mm.

In the method according to the invention for producing a ski skin, it is provided that the inorganic adhesive is applied only locally to the inside of the base layer. The local or regional application of the adhesive is preferably carried out with a toothed doctor blade. With such a doctor blade, the adhesive can be applied, for example, strip-shaped. The strip-applied adhesive then preferably has a thickness of about 0.3 mm. There may also be a minimum layer thickness between these strips, but this is immaterial for the adhesion.

Further advantageous features emerge from the dependent claims, the following description and the drawings.

The FIG. 1 shows a ski 1, which has a top 2 and a bottom 3. On the underside 3 a ski skin 4 is glued, which extends substantially over the entire underside 3 of the ski 1. At the front end of the ski skin 4, not shown, a fitting, for example a hook, may be provided, with which the ski skin 4 is mechanically detachably fastened to the tip of the ski 1. A corresponding fitting for attachment of the rear end of the skinning 4 at the rear end of the ski 1 may also be provided.

The ski skin 4 is in particular a so-called climbing skin and has a base layer 6 of a fabric or of a film. The fabric may be made of cotton, polyester or other textile. On an underside of the support layer 6, a fur layer 7 is arranged, which extends over the entire surface of the support layer 6 and which may consist of a plurality of obliquely Asked hairs as usual. On an inner side 6 a of the base layer 6, an adhesive layer 5 is applied, with which the ski skin 4 is detachably connected to the ski 1. The ski skin 4 can be fixed by hand in a manner known per se on the ski 1 and can also be pulled off again by hand after use. This is possible several times.

The adhesive layer 5 is made of an inorganic adhesive. This is especially and preferably a silicone adhesive. This is preferably not applied over the entire inner side 6a of the support layer 6, but only locally. The adhesive layer 5 is thus only partially. In the areas in which the adhesive layer 5 is applied, the thickness of the adhesive is preferably at least 0.1 mm and preferably at most 0.4 mm. The optimum layer thickness is about 0.3 mm. The coating coating is preferably higher than 200 g / m 2 , preferably higher than 250 g / m 2 . By the said local application of the adhesive and the said layer thickness, the required initial tack is achieved. Essential to this is also the production of the adhesive layer 5 of an inorganic adhesive and in particular a silicone adhesive. Due to the local order, a higher contact pressure is achieved.

The local application of the adhesive, for example, a strip-like order according FIG. 2 be. The adhesive layer 5 consists in this case of a plurality of strips 4a which extend parallel and in the longitudinal direction of the ski skin 4 and between which strip-shaped area 4b exist in which no or very little adhesive is present. The width of the strips 4a is about 1 to 3 mm and preferably 1.5 to 2.5 mm. The width of the regions 4b may be the same or similar.

According to a variant of the invention, the adhesive is applied in spots, as in FIG. 3 is shown. The ski skin 4 'thus has areas 4a' in which the thickness of the adhesive layer as mentioned above is 0.1 to 0.4 mm and preferably 0.3 mm. Of the intermediate region 4b 'has little or no application of the adhesive. Instead of punctiform regions, other regions, for example oval, rectangular and in particular square regions, are also possible. It is also conceivable an order that has both strip-shaped and punctiform or otherwise different areas. For example, according to FIG. 3 at the edges strip-shaped areas and be present between these point-shaped areas. The local application can minimize the amount of glue required.

For the application of the adhesive, a toothed doctor blade is used in a preferred method. With this doctor a predetermined amount of the adhesive is applied to the inside 6 a of the support layer 6. The squeegee is firmly mounted above a table while the skimmer is drawn between the squeegee and the table. A punctiform application is possible, for example, with a nozzle. As usual, the glue contains a solvent which evaporates after application. Instead of a solvent-containing inorganic adhesive, an inorganic adhesive is also conceivable, which already has a viscosity without solvent at the application temperature, which allows processing. The application temperature can also be significantly higher than the room temperature. Such inorganic adhesives are also known per se.
