Die Begrenzung durch Borde kann sogar ganz entfallen, insbesondere dann, wenn der als Endlosriemchen ausgebildete Belag mit einer doppelten Fadeneinlage ausgestattet ist, wobei die Fadeneinlagen gegenläufig gewickelt sind. Die gegenläufige Wicklung der Fadeneinlage beseitigt bei hohen Laufgeschwindigkeiten das asymmetrische Verhalten des Riemchenbelages. Es ergibt sich außerdem der Vorteil, dass bei Verwendung eines starren Halters der Riemchenbelag sich dennoch leicht wechseln lässt. Der starre Halter für den Riemchenbelag ist vorzugsweise frei drehbar auf der Druckrollerachse gelagert und stütz sich über Anschläge am Oberwalzentragarm der Streckvorrichtung ab. Die Spannung kann sogar so groß werden, dass nicht nur der Riemchenbelag 1 erheblich gebremst und damit der Lauf beeinträchtigt wird, sondern dass die Umlenkschiene 2 bricht. Durch die Gestaltung der Umlenkschiene 2, insbesondere des Querschnittsumfanges U wird der Ansammlung von Fasern zwischen Riemchenbelag 1 und Riemchengleitfläche 27 der Umlenkschiene 2 entgegengewirkt. Es hat sich hierbei gezeigt, dass es auf die Größe des Umfanges U ankommt, der auf jeden Fall größer als die mittlere Stapellänge des auf der Streckvorrichtung verzogenen Fasermaterials sein soll. Gute Erfolge wurden beispielsweise mit einem Querschnittsumfang U der Umlenkschiene 2 von mindestens dem 1,5-fachen der mittleren Faserlänge erzielt. Da es offensichtlich darauf ankommt, dass Anfang und Ende einer Faser sich nicht um den Umfang U der Umlenkschiene 2 zu einem Ring schließen können, sollte vorzugsweise der Querschnittsumfang U der Umlenkschiene 2 geringfügig länger als die längste Faser des auf der Walzenstreckvorrichtung verzogenen Fasermaterials sein.Above the

Durch das Aufbringen einer Fadeneinlage 11 in Z-Form und einer Fadeneinlage 12 in S-Form erfolgt eine Kreuzung der Fäden bei der Spiralwindung. Außerdem wird damit dem asymmetrischen Verhalten entgegengewirkt. Der Riemchenbelag 10 läuft gleichmäßig, so dass es zu keiner Beschädigung durch Anlaufen an die Kanten 13 kommt. Die Borde 24 können sogar weggelassen werden, wenn die Riemchengleitfläche 203 der Umlenkschiene 200 eine leichte Wölbung quer zur Riemchenlaufrichtung aufweist. Der Riemchenbelag 10 wird dadurch stets in der Mitte der Gleitfläche 203 gehalten und geführt. Das Weglassen der Außenborde 24 bringt zudem den Vorteil, dass sich der Riemchenbelag 10 leichter auswechseln lässt, auch wenn die Umlenkschiene 200 starr angeordnet ist. Bei der Ausführung gemäß
