Definitions

  • the present invention relates to an embossing device for at least two-ply surface products such as toilet paper, handkerchiefs or the like with at least a first and a second pair of rollers, each having an embossing roller.
  • Embossing devices of the type mentioned are known in many ways from the prior art. For example disclosed EP 1 096 069 A2 Such an embossing device for producing a multi-layer absorbent paper product with an embossing pattern, wherein each one roll from a roll-off and a pair of rollers, consisting of a rubber roller and an embossing roll is supplied. The respective layer webs are embossed, one of the layer webs provided with glue and then passed to form a so-called "nested" structure through a gap arranged between the two embossing rollers of the roller pairs and the layers are firmly connected to each other via a subsequent connecting roller.
  • tissue and / or tissue-like materials such as toilet paper, handkerchiefs, kitchen towels or the like, which carry decorative patterns.
  • the respective decorative patterns appear very concise and sharp, and optionally the surface product is additionally added by means of color an optical effect.
  • tissue is understood to mean a product which corresponds to DIN 6730. Accordingly, tissue is a product which consists wholly or predominantly of pulp fibers, with a fine and soft crepe, which is creped in a closed formation in the paper machine with a dry content of more than 90%, consists of one or more layers, is particularly absorbent, a surface mass of the individual layer of less than 5 g / m 2 before creping and a creping wet stretch greater than 5%.
  • tissue-like material is understood as meaning a material which, in contrast to tissue material, is produced by changes in the drying process.
  • tissue-like material is a product predominantly made of pulp fibers with large and wide creping and open formation, which is creped dry in the paper machine and from one or more layers wherein the basis weight of a layer before crimping is less than 25 g / m 2 and the wet crumb elongation of a layer after crimping is greater than 24%.
  • the material can also be made from waste paper.
  • EP 1 609 589 A2 discloses a printed and embossed handkerchief, which can be made with a device which consists of at least two pairs of rolls, each comprising an embossing roll, said embossing rolls having embossing points of different heights.
  • a layer is first provided with a micro-embossing during passage through a first pair of rollers and subsequently with a motif embossing when passing through a second pair of rollers.
  • US 6,106,928 discloses a device in which layers of a unwinding are fed to first and second roller pairs, the embossing rollers comprised by these roller pairs having embossing points of a first height and embossing points of a second height and embossing points distributed over their entire embossing surface.
  • the layer webs themselves can be one-, two-, three- or four-ply, but also five- or six-ply, be formed.
  • the arrangement of the first and second roller pair can be done in any technically possible manner. In this case crizspielswelse the two pairs of rollers can lie on a common axis and be associated with each other in mirror image.
  • the rubber roller is arranged laterally offset from the embossing roller, and the other pair of rollers accordingly mirror image is arranged such that here come to lie on a first plane, the two embossing rollers and the two rubber rollers in a first plane offset second plane. In each case a gap is provided between the two embossing rollers.
  • the embossing device according to the invention may moreover also have two or even three gluing units and be used for the production of at least two-ply, preferably at least three-ply, but also four- or five-ply surface products.
  • the individual layers are thereby unrolled as webs of unwinding devices, in which case the webs can also be configured as double-layered or even three-layered in advance.
  • embossing device Due to the embossing device according to the invention is advantageously achieved that due to the intended number of embossing points (also called embossing nubs) on the embossing roller of the first pair of rollers sufficient bulk and softness of the relevant web is given, i. that this has a higher volume than the embossed by means of the second pair of rollers at least one further layer web. This is provided by means of the embossing roller of the second pair of rollers with a decorative pattern. Due to the higher density of the embossing points here a very clear representation of the decor pattern is achieved.
  • the embossing points of the embossing roller which mediates the decoration of the further layer web can be arranged linearly and at right angles to each other.
  • the respective rows formed by the embossing points are preferably formed symmetrically offset from one another.
  • the decor pattern is caused in the embossing roll by simply omitting the embossing points at the appropriate places.
  • the embossing points are not arranged linearly, but arranged in the form of the pattern itself on the embossing roller.
  • a flower motif surrounds a closed certain number of embossing points in the form of just a flower, whereby the embossed motif in the finished surface product for the viewer is clearer and clearer.
  • the softness of the product is also increased.
  • the decor pattern itself can have any configuration, it can be designed, for example, in the form of a flower, a bird, a heart, etc.
  • the embossing device is configured such that the layer which carries the decorative pattern comes to lie on an outer side of the formed finished surface product, wherein it is further preferred that the side of the web which bears directly on the embossing roller of the second pair of rollers, an outer side of the surface product forms.
  • the gluing unit applies color-added and / or colored glue.
  • the clear or white-colored glue used is subsequently mixed with a corresponding colorant, or else immediately a color-coded glue is applied.
  • an additional optical effect is achieved, namely by the microembossing pattern formed by the embossing points of the embossing roller of the second roller pair is visible through the colored glue for the viewer and user.
  • the surface product is given a uniform background design, whereby the decorative pattern emerges even more for the viewer.
  • the rubber rollers of the at least two pairs of rollers have a hardness in a range of about 50 to 70 Shore A.
  • the connecting roller may also be formed as a rubber roller, which is preferably provided with a sheath.
  • the core of the connection roller preferably has a hardness in a range of about 50 to about 70 Shore A, whereas the shell has a hardness in a range of about 80 to about 100 Shore A.
  • the shell can be formed, for example, from a steel shell.
  • the individual layers of the surface product according to the invention may at least partially have a so-called “nested” structure, ie that the elevations obtained by the embossing by means of an embossing roller come to lie in corresponding recesses obtained by the second embossing roller in the further layer web. This can be done in particular when the density of the embossing points of the first roller and the second roller is approximately equal.
  • a compound of the individual layer webs is obtained with the embossing device according to the invention such that neither a pure "nested" structure nor a pure "tip-to-tip” structure is present, ie such a structure in which the elevations, which by means of the one embossing roll is produced in the one layer web to come to lie on the surveys obtained by means of the further embossing roll on the further layer web.
  • a higher volume of the surface product produced by means of the embossing device according to the invention is achieved.
  • this multilayered layer web can likewise have a "nested” or a "tip-to-tip” structure, obtained by a preceding embossing with a further, third one Roller pair, but here again an irregular connection of the individual layer webs can be provided.
  • the embossing pressure of the first and second roller pairs is in a range of about 4.0 bar to about 8.2 bar, preferably about 5.7 bar to about 6.3 bar.
  • the embossing pressure is adjusted by adjusting the rubber roller in relation to the embossing roller, wherein either the rubber roller or the embossing roller is movably arranged in the embossing device.
  • the embossing pressure is selected with regard to the material used and the embossing pattern to be achieved with a decorative pattern. Basically, the embossing nubs of the embossing rollers penetrate into the softer rubber material of the rubber rollers.
  • the nip pressure in the embossing, both in the microembossing and the decorative pattern embossing in combination with a microembossing in a range of about 15 N / mm to about 25 N / mm, preferably up to about 20 N / mm.

  • the embossing nubs which are arranged on the embossing rollers, a height in a range of about 0.7 mm to about 1.5 mm and for the production of handkerchiefs, a diameter of the embossing surface of the embossing points in a range of about 0.35 mm to about 0.7 mm, preferably up to about 0.55 mm.
  • the embossing nubs which are arranged on the embossing rollers, a height in a range of about 1 mm to about 1.5 mm and a diameter of the embossing surface of the embossing points in a range of about 1 mm to about 1.5 mm, preferably about 1.3 mm, with round. Formation of the embossing points on.
  • the diameter of the embossing dots or nubs may be in a range from about 0.35 mm to about 1.7 mm.
  • these have a height in a range of about 1 mm to about 1.5 mm and a length of the major axis of the embossing surface of the embossing points in a range of about 1, 3 mm to about 1.7 mm, preferably about 1.5 mm, and a length of the minor axis of the embossing surface of the embossment points in a range from about 0.9 mm to about 1.3 mm, preferably about 1.1 mm.
  • the embossing points or nubs are formed frusto-conical and arranged on the surface of the embossing rollers, ie the foot portion thereof has a larger diameter than the actual embossing surface in the head region thereof.
  • the embossing surface of the head region can itself be rounded or any other form raised, but the embossing surface can also be formed completely flat.
  • the flanks of the embossing points are formed at an angle of about 8 ° to about 18 ° to each other. In such an expression of the embossing points, it is possible, especially when they are arranged on an embossing roll in the form of the predetermined decorative pattern selbiges form very sharp protruding.
  • the embossing points or nubs can be arranged not only uniformly but also irregularly on the embossing rollers in the first regions, in particular if it is desired to emphasize the effect of the second regions achievable decorative patterns in its optical effect. It is particularly advantageous to increase the density of the embossing points or nubs in the immediate vicinity of the second regions in the first regions.
  • the height of the embossing points or embossing nubs can preferably also be designed differently.
  • at least the first, more preferably the first to fifth, even more preferably the first to third, surrounding or lying within a line of embossing dots or points a height in a range of about 1.0 mm to 1, 5 mm, preferably 1.1 to 1.3 mm, whereas the other embossing points or embossing nubs arranged in the region between the respective decorative patterns have a height in a range of approximately 0.7 mm to 0.9 mm.

Abstract

The aim of the invention is to create an embossing device for at least two-layered planar products such as toilet paper, tissues, or similar, which makes it possible to easily make high-quality planar products that are provided with decorative patterns. The aim is achieved by an embossing device for at least two-layered planar products such as toilet paper, tissues, and similar. Also, the embossing device has at least one first and at least one second couple of rollers, each of which is composed of an embossing roller and a squeezer.

Description

The present invention relates to an embossing device for at least two-ply surface products such as toilet paper, handkerchiefs or the like with at least a first and a second pair of rollers, each having an embossing roller.

Embossing devices of the type mentioned are known in many ways from the prior art.

There is now an increased demand for two-layered or multi-layered sheet products, in particular of tissue and / or tissue-like materials, such as toilet paper, handkerchiefs, kitchen towels or the like, which carry decorative patterns. Here, it is desired that the respective decorative patterns appear very concise and sharp, and optionally the surface product is additionally added by means of color an optical effect.

For the purposes of the present invention, tissue is understood to mean a product which corresponds to DIN 6730.

For the purposes of the present invention, tissue-like material is understood as meaning a material which, in contrast to tissue material, is produced by changes in the drying process. According to DIN 6730, tissue-like material is a product predominantly made of pulp fibers with large and wide creping and open formation, which is creped dry in the paper machine and from one or more layers wherein the basis weight of a layer before crimping is less than 25 g / m 2 and the wet crumb elongation of a layer after crimping is greater than 24%. The material can also be made from waste paper.

EP 1 609 589 A2 discloses a printed and embossed handkerchief, which can be made with a device which consists of at least two pairs of rolls, each comprising an embossing roll, said embossing rolls having embossing points of different heights. A layer is first provided with a micro-embossing during passage through a first pair of rollers and subsequently with a motif embossing when passing through a second pair of rollers.

US 6,106,928 discloses a device in which layers of a unwinding are fed to first and second roller pairs, the embossing rollers comprised by these roller pairs having embossing points of a first height and embossing points of a second height and embossing points distributed over their entire embossing surface.

It is therefore an object of the present invention to provide an embossing device, by means of which easily provided with decorative pattern surface products are produced in high quality.

This object is achieved by an embossing device for at least two-ply surface products such as toilet paper, handkerchiefs and the like
  • with at least a first and at least a second roller pair, each formed from an embossing roller and a rubber roller, wherein the embossing roller of the first pair uniformly distributed over its entire embossing surface a plurality of embossing points in a number from about 20 to about 70 per cm 2 , preferably about 45 per cm 2 for producing a planar microembossing on at least one layer web, and wherein the embossing roll of the second pair has distributed over its embossing surface first and second regions, wherein the first regions a plurality of embossing points in a number from about 45 to about 70 per cm 2 to produce a surface microembossing on at least one further layer web, and the second regions have no embossing points, wherein the second regions do not constitute more than 40% of the total embossing surface and are not interconnected,
  • with at least one gluing unit, which is arranged adjacent to the embossing roller of the second pair and subsequently the corresponding rubber roller, by means of which glue is applied to the embossing points of the embossing roller,
  • wherein the embossing rollers are arranged to form a gap for merging the embossed layer webs to each other, and
  • wherein a connecting roller is disposed adjacent to the embossing roller of the first pair to form a ply bond of the ply sheets.

The layer webs themselves can be one-, two-, three- or four-ply, but also five- or six-ply, be formed. The arrangement of the first and second roller pair can be done in any technically possible manner. In this case beispielswelse the two pairs of rollers can lie on a common axis and be associated with each other in mirror image. However, it is also possible, for example, that the rubber roller is arranged laterally offset from the embossing roller, and the other pair of rollers accordingly mirror image is arranged such that here come to lie on a first plane, the two embossing rollers and the two rubber rollers in a first plane offset second plane. In each case a gap is provided between the two embossing rollers. The embossing device according to the invention may moreover also have two or even three gluing units and be used for the production of at least two-ply, preferably at least three-ply, but also four- or five-ply surface products. The individual layers are thereby unrolled as webs of unwinding devices, in which case the webs can also be configured as double-layered or even three-layered in advance.

Due to the embossing device according to the invention is advantageously achieved that due to the intended number of embossing points (also called embossing nubs) on the embossing roller of the first pair of rollers sufficient bulk and softness of the relevant web is given, i. that this has a higher volume than the embossed by means of the second pair of rollers at least one further layer web. This is provided by means of the embossing roller of the second pair of rollers with a decorative pattern. Due to the higher density of the embossing points here a very clear representation of the decor pattern is achieved. The embossing points of the embossing roller which mediates the decoration of the further layer web can be arranged linearly and at right angles to each other. In this case, the respective rows formed by the embossing points are preferably formed symmetrically offset from one another. The decor pattern is caused in the embossing roll by simply omitting the embossing points at the appropriate places. In a particularly preferred embodiment according to the present invention, however, the embossing points are not arranged linearly, but arranged in the form of the pattern itself on the embossing roller. As a result, for example, a flower motif surrounds a closed certain number of embossing points in the form of just a flower, whereby the embossed motif in the finished surface product for the viewer is clearer and clearer. At the same time, the softness of the product is also increased. But not only the decorative motif as a whole, but possibly also individual components thereof can be surrounded by a closed line of embossing nubs in the preferred embodiment. The decor pattern itself can have any configuration, it can be designed, for example, in the form of a flower, a bird, a heart, etc.

The fact that the at least one gluing unit is arranged adjacent to the embossing roller applying the decorative pattern advantageously achieves that the areas of the corresponding layer web having the motif are not provided with glue, since this makes it unclear when merging the various layer webs Training of the embossing motif comes. Preferably, the embossing device according to the invention is configured such that the layer which carries the decorative pattern comes to lie on an outer side of the formed finished surface product, wherein it is further preferred that the side of the web which bears directly on the embossing roller of the second pair of rollers, an outer side of the surface product forms.

In a preferred embodiment of the embossing device according to the invention, the gluing unit applies color-added and / or colored glue. In this case, it is possible to proceed in such a way that the clear or white-colored glue used is subsequently mixed with a corresponding colorant, or else immediately a color-coded glue is applied. In this way, an additional optical effect is achieved, namely by the microembossing pattern formed by the embossing points of the embossing roller of the second roller pair is visible through the colored glue for the viewer and user. As a result, the surface product is given a uniform background design, whereby the decorative pattern emerges even more for the viewer.

More preferably, the rubber rollers of the at least two pairs of rollers have a hardness in a range of about 50 to 70 Shore A. The connecting roller may also be formed as a rubber roller, which is preferably provided with a sheath. The core of the connection roller preferably has a hardness in a range of about 50 to about 70 Shore A, whereas the shell has a hardness in a range of about 80 to about 100 Shore A. However, the shell can be formed, for example, from a steel shell. By providing the connecting roller with a higher hardness, a secure and uniformly firm connection of the individual layers is achieved. The individual layers of the surface product according to the invention may at least partially have a so-called "nested" structure, ie that the elevations obtained by the embossing by means of an embossing roller come to lie in corresponding recesses obtained by the second embossing roller in the further layer web. This can be done in particular when the density of the embossing points of the first roller and the second roller is approximately equal. Preferably, however, a compound of the individual layer webs is obtained with the embossing device according to the invention such that neither a pure "nested" structure nor a pure "tip-to-tip" structure is present, ie such a structure in which the elevations, which by means of the one embossing roll is produced in the one layer web to come to lie on the surveys obtained by means of the further embossing roll on the further layer web. In this advantageous embodiment, a higher volume of the surface product produced by means of the embossing device according to the invention is achieved. If a layer web is already multi-layered, If this is fed, for example, from an unwinding device as a two- or three-layered bandage of the embossing device, then this multilayered layer web can likewise have a "nested" or a "tip-to-tip" structure, obtained by a preceding embossing with a further, third one Roller pair, but here again an irregular connection of the individual layer webs can be provided.

Preferably, the embossing pressure of the first and second roller pairs is in a range of about 4.0 bar to about 8.2 bar, preferably about 5.7 bar to about 6.3 bar. The embossing pressure is adjusted by adjusting the rubber roller in relation to the embossing roller, wherein either the rubber roller or the embossing roller is movably arranged in the embossing device. In this case, the embossing pressure is selected with regard to the material used and the embossing pattern to be achieved with a decorative pattern. Basically, the embossing nubs of the embossing rollers penetrate into the softer rubber material of the rubber rollers.

Preferably, the nip pressure in the embossing, both in the microembossing and the decorative pattern embossing in combination with a microembossing, in a range of about 15 N / mm to about 25 N / mm, preferably up to about 20 N / mm. The line pressure is calculated from the applied pressure on the pneumatic cylinders of the roller pairs in multiplication by the length of the lever arm and divided by the embossing width, which is determined by the width of the embossing surface of the embossing roller.

More preferably, the embossing nubs, which are arranged on the embossing rollers, a height in a range of about 0.7 mm to about 1.5 mm and for the production of handkerchiefs, a diameter of the embossing surface of the embossing points in a range of about 0.35 mm to about 0.7 mm, preferably up to about 0.55 mm. For the production of kitchen paper, in particular in roll form, the embossing nubs, which are arranged on the embossing rollers, a height in a range of about 1 mm to about 1.5 mm and a diameter of the embossing surface of the embossing points in a range of about 1 mm to about 1.5 mm, preferably about 1.3 mm, with round. Formation of the embossing points on. In principle, the diameter of the embossing dots or nubs may be in a range from about 0.35 mm to about 1.7 mm. In the production of kitchen paper, especially in roll form, with oval embossing nubs, these have a height in a range of about 1 mm to about 1.5 mm and a length of the major axis of the embossing surface of the embossing points in a range of about 1, 3 mm to about 1.7 mm, preferably about 1.5 mm, and a length of the minor axis of the embossing surface of the embossment points in a range from about 0.9 mm to about 1.3 mm, preferably about 1.1 mm. Preferably, the embossing points or nubs are formed frusto-conical and arranged on the surface of the embossing rollers, ie the foot portion thereof has a larger diameter than the actual embossing surface in the head region thereof. The embossing surface of the head region can itself be rounded or any other form raised, but the embossing surface can also be formed completely flat. Preferably, the flanks of the embossing points are formed at an angle of about 8 ° to about 18 ° to each other. In such an expression of the embossing points, it is possible, especially when they are arranged on an embossing roll in the form of the predetermined decorative pattern selbiges form very sharp protruding. The embossing points or nubs can be arranged not only uniformly but also irregularly on the embossing rollers in the first regions, in particular if it is desired to emphasize the effect of the second regions achievable decorative patterns in its optical effect. It is particularly advantageous to increase the density of the embossing points or nubs in the immediate vicinity of the second regions in the first regions.

The height of the embossing points or embossing nubs can preferably also be designed differently. In particular, at least the first, more preferably the first to fifth, even more preferably the first to third, surrounding or lying within a line of embossing dots or points a height in a range of about 1.0 mm to 1, 5 mm, preferably 1.1 to 1.3 mm, whereas the other embossing points or embossing nubs arranged in the region between the respective decorative patterns have a height in a range of approximately 0.7 mm to 0.9 mm. By means of such a configuration, on the one hand, it can be achieved that glue is applied only to those embossing points or embossing nubs which have the greater height. This has the great advantage of reducing the rigidity of the resulting embossed material. In addition, by using a colored glue, which is applied exclusively to the embossing points or embossing nubs with the greater height, a beautiful visual effect can be achieved.

In a preferred embodiment, the connecting roller and / or glue application roller is formed spirally or cylindrically, preferably spirally. In this way, a further increase in the softness and the volume of the manufactured surface product can be achieved.

The embossing rollers are preferably made of steel. The surface of the embossing rollers is produced in a laser process, omitting the embossing points in the area of the decor pattern, or by setting the embossing points immediately in the form of the corresponding decorative pattern. However, it may also be provided to first produce an embossing roller with embossing points arranged symmetrically on it at a right angle to one another and staggered, and subsequently at least partially removing them in the region of the decorative pattern. In this case, parts of the individual embossing stop can also be left standing, so that embossing is carried out for example only by a halved head surface thereof. Furthermore, the present invention relates to an at least two-ply sheet product, preferably at least three-ply, more preferably at least four-ply sheet product prepared with the embossing device according to the invention, with at least one micro-embossing with a number of embossing points in a number in a range from about 20 to about 70 per cm 2 , preferably up to about 45 per cm 2 having layer and at least one further layer having first and second regions, said first regions having a plurality of embossing points in a number in a range of about 45 to about 70 per cm 2 , and second areas have no embossing points, wherein the second areas do not cover more than 40% of the layer area and are not interconnected. The non-connection of the second regions to one another makes it possible to form concrete individual patterns on the surface product, and surface products are obtained which take into account the area of the second regions relative to that surface of the first regions which have an outstanding optical effect.

It can preferably be provided that the micro-embossing points of the second layer are formed in color. As already described above, this results in an additional optical effect. Furthermore, it can also be provided that the second layer in turn consists of several individual layers, which were previously fed from a common or even separate unwinding the second pair of rollers. The surface product is preferably designed as a handkerchief, household paper, kitchen paper and / or toilet paper.

It should first be pointed out that the invention is not restricted to the combinations of features shown in the individual figures. Rather, the features disclosed in the description including the description of the figures can be combined with those indicated in the figures.

Fig. 1 shows a schematic representation of an inventive embossing device designated by the reference numeral 10 for producing a product at least two-ply 40. In this case, a first at least one ply web 24 of a unwinding device 44.1, comprising a roll 46.1 and a guide roller 48.1, a first pair of rollers 12 fed a rubber roller 18 and an embossing roller 16 with embossing points (embossing nubs) 38 has. The embossing roller 16 has embossing points 38 arranged uniformly on the surface of the same and having a density in a range of approximately 40 per cm 2 . The embossing points are preferably arranged in a row in a symmetrical pattern at a right angle to each other, wherein the rows are also arranged offset from each other symmetrically.

From a second unwinding device 44.2 comprising a unwinding 46.2 and a deflection roller 48.2, an at least single-ply layer web 30 is unwound and fed to the second pair of rollers of the embossing device 10. The layer web 30 is fed to the embossing roller 20 via a rubber roller 22, the embossing roller 20 likewise having embossing points 38. In this case, however, the embossing roll 20 is provided with first and second regions, wherein the first regions of the layer web 30 give up a microembossing and have symmetrically or asymmetrically arranged embossing points in a density of about 60 per cm 2 . The second areas of the embossing roller 20, however, are formed without embossing points and have the shape of a decor. Below the Embossing of the further layer web 30, the elevations produced by the embossing points are provided with glue 34 by means of a gluing unit 32. Subsequently, the layer web 30 as well as the embossed layer web 24 via the first pair of rollers 12 and the second pair of rollers 14 a gap 17 is supplied, in which a compound of the layer webs 24 and 30 takes place. Following this combination, the formed composite is fed via the second embossing roll 20 to a marriage roll 36, which is also formed as a rubber roll but with a sheath hardness of about 90 Shore A, as opposed to a hardness of the rubber rolls 18 and 22 with a value of about 60 Shore A. Subsequently, the surface product formed 40 is led out of the embossing device.

In Fig. 1 In this case, a combination of the first layer web 24 with the further layer web 30 in the form of a so-called "nested" structure is shown for the sake of simplicity. In this case, a merger of the individual layer webs can also be done in any other way, preferably a merge is such that neither a pure "nested" structure nor a pure "tip-to-tip" structure are obtained to the largest possible volume of the surface product 40 to be produced. Glue is applied in an amount of 0.438 g / cm 2 to the elevations of the second embossing roller 20 formed by the embossing points 38 by means of the gluing unit 32. By means of the embossing roll 20, a coverage of about 3.53%, based on the top surface of the individual embossing points, the embossed layer web 30 is obtained. By means of the first embossing roll 16, a degree of coverage of about 6.8% is achieved.

Der Abstand der Prägenoppen der zweiten Prägewalze 20 betrug dabei etwa 1,29 mm, wohingegen der Abstand der Prägepunkte der ersten Prägewalze 16 etwa 1,58 mm betrug. The distance between the embossing nubs of the second embossing roll 20 was about 1.29 mm, whereas the distance of the embossing points of the first embossing roll 16 was about 1.58 mm.

Fig. 2 now shows a side view of the embossing roll 20, which has a plurality of embossing nubs. In this case, first regions 26, which merge into one another, are formed on the second embossing roll 20, which surround second regions 28, wherein these second regions 28 are not interconnected. It shows Fig. 2 a view of the second embossing roller 20 with respect to a central axis 21st

Fig. 3 now shows a detail D of Fig. 2 Here, the first areas 26 and second areas 28 are clearly visible. The second region 28 is designed in the form of a margaritte, the first regions 26 have a plurality of at a right angle mutually arranged embossing points 38, which are arranged offset from each other in rows.

Fig. 4 shows now along a section AA the Fig. 3 the formation of a single embossing point 38, which is approximately frusto-conical with flanks 42, which in toilet paper an angle W to each other by about 10 °, at Kücherollen about 15 °. The embossing point 38 is arranged on the embossing roller 20. It has a head surface for toilet paper with a diameter d of about 0.45 mm and a height h of about 0.8 mm, for kitchen paper the height h is for example 1.4 mm and the diameter d about 1.3 mm with round education.

Fig. 5 now shows an alternative embodiment of the embossing roll 20, in which case the second regions 28 are again in the form of a flower according to the decorative pattern free of embossing points, the embossing points are here, however, arranged in the form of the decoration itself on the surface of the embossing roller 20. As a result, each individual subregion of the second region 28 is uniformly surrounded by an uninterrupted line of embossing points, whereby a very clear and beautiful decorative pattern is given to the surface product produced by means of the embossing device 10. Again, the first regions 26 are arranged between the individual regions 28 and merge into one another, the second regions 28 are not connected to one another. In this case, the individual embossing points of the first regions 26 are arranged as uniformly as possible on the surface of the embossing roller 20 in order to obtain a relatively uniform overall appearance, in particular when applying a colored glue. In the embossing roller 20 according to Fig. 5 the diameter of the embossing surface of the embossing points is slightly higher than in the embodiment according to Fig. 2 namely at 0.5 mm.

Fig. 6 now shows an alternative embodiment of the surface of the embossing roll 20, which has a plurality of embossing nubs. It is an alternative training to that in the Fig. 5 shown surface. In this case, around the second regions 28 two or three embossing tuft rows 50 or inside the second regions 28 a embossing tuft row 50 are arranged, which have a higher height than the embossing tubs in the first regions 26. For example, the height of the embossing nubs in the first regions 26 is 0.8 mm, whereas the height of the embossing nubs in the rows 50 is 1.2 mm. In the Fig. 6 is characterized by the different contrast of the embossing knobs of the first regions 26 and those surrounding the second regions 28 embossing knobs the different height. If, for example, a colored glue is applied only to the rows 50, a product is obtained which has a lower thickness Has stiffness and, at the same time, a nice visual effect is obtained at the same time. As Fig. 6 can be taken, it is also possible in training relatively complex pattern that here lying within a pattern embossing nips as well as the pattern surrounding rows 50 are formed to achieve here in particular when applying a colored glue optical effects.

Fig. 7 schließlich zeigt eine weitere alternative. Fig. 7 Finally, another alternative shows. Design of the surface of the embossing roller 20 with a central axis 21, which has a plurality of embossing nubs. In this case, the second regions 28 in the interior embossing tuft rows 50, which as in Fig. 6 just as the embossing tuft row of the first regions 26 adjacent at least directly to the second regions 28 can have a higher height than the embossing tufts in the first regions 26, so that a beautiful optical effect can be achieved by applying colored glue. The first regions 26 have an uneven distribution of the embossing nubs over the surface of the embossing roll 20, the density of which is increased in the environment 54 of the second regions 28. By contrast, in partial surfaces 52 remote from the second regions 28, the first regions 26 have a more even distribution of the embossing nubs.

By means of the embossing device according to the invention, it is advantageously possible to easily and simply entail a high quality embossed pattern, which is preferably made of a tissue and / or tissue-like material in the form of a tissue, a toilet paper, a kitchen paper and / or a household paper. Existing embossing devices can be retrofitted with appropriate embossing rollers with appropriate parameters. It should be noted that for the purposes of the present invention, any arrangement of the respective roller pairs to each other is possible, as well as a supply of the individual webs separated from several unwinding or already together can take place as a layer composite to the embossing device.
