Abstract

Description

The invention relates to a collapsible pallet cover, especially for construction sites as rain protection for storable on pallets building materials, with inwardly hinged side walls which define at least partially open longitudinal walls that form a lid, a front wall and a rear wall over the pallet.

A foldable pallet cover is in WO 2006/092638 A1 described. It is a construction on a pallet base with retractable side walls, which are held by spreader bars. The longitudinal walls between the side walls are tarpaulins, which can be repelled to operate the goods stored on the pallet. In order to give the known cover additional stability transverse stresses are also required to prevent unfolding of the side walls.

Another well-known pallet cover is in EP 626318 B1 described. It is a foldable container whose bottom is through the pallet and whose lid consists of two wing parts, which are articulated on opposite longitudinal sides of a foldable container part. In EP 8769A is a flexible insulating cover for goods stored on a pallet, over which the envelope is slipped. On the other hand, the present invention seeks to improve a pallet cover of the type mentioned in such a way that it takes in the folded state, the shape of a flat cuboid with very small volume of about the size of the empty pallet and that they easily in use foldable and with a secure position on the loaded pallet to protect the stacked goods against the weather conditions of the environment such as wind, sun and rain can be positioned. An advantageous embodiment is that the side walls have side wall webs facing longitudinally opposite edges transversely to the frame side parts. With these side wall webs, the side walls in the unfolded position engage over the vertical side edges of the rear wall and can be tightly connected therewith, at the same time resulting in a stable combination of side walls and rear wall.

For this purpose, it is advantageous that connecting means are provided on the side wall webs, which, when the pallet cover is constructed, interact releasably with connecting means on the outside of the rear wall.

The FIGS. 1 to 12 each show different views, sections and details of a concrete embodiment of a folding pallet cover according to the invention, which are used in particular for use on construction sites of buildings, for example, they serve as rain cover for covering building materials such as cement or mortar components filled paper bags. The connecting means of the side wall webs 27 are simple eyelets in which hooks 28 of the connecting means 15 of the rear wall 13 are hooked.
