Definitions

  • the invention relates to a backrest, in particular for an office chair, comprising a backrest shell carrier extending in a longitudinal direction and a backrest shell protruding from the backrest shell support.
  • a backrest with a serving as a lumbar support buckle is known for a chair, especially for an office chair, such as in the US 2002/195 853 A1 , or in the EP 1 566 120 A1 ,
  • an office chair is proposed with a backrest, which has as a lordosis support superimposed, mutually parallel support ribs, which are each arched bending elastic.
  • the curvature of the lumbar support can be adjusted via a control element designed as a pull rope.
  • the invention has for its object to provide a backrest, which is as easy to adjust and customizable ah the shape of the lordosis. Furthermore, the invention has for its object to provide a chair with such a backrest.
  • a backrest in particular for an office chair, comprising a backrest shell support extending in a longitudinal direction and a backrest shell protruding from the backrest shell support, wherein the backrest shell has an upper and a lower fastening region and a number of intermediate parts Bending areas has.
  • the backrest shell is firmly connected in the upper attachment area with the backrest shell support.
  • the backrest shell is displaceable in the longitudinal direction and is movably connected to the backrest shell support in such a way that the protrusion of the backrest shell is changed by means of the bending areas during displacement.
  • the backrest shell is firmly held in the upper mounting area.
  • To adjust the degree of protrusion relative to the remindentehenschalen carrier only the lower attachment point of the backrest shell needs to be adjusted in the longitudinal direction.
  • the protrusion is relatively small.
  • the backrest shell protrudes slightly out of the plane of the backrest support.
  • the elasticity of the backrest shell is locally increased at the desired locations, so that the protrusion when moving the lower attachment point is larger. Due to the bending areas a variable protrusion of a more rigid backrest shell is therefore possible.
  • no moving element is needed in the upper attachment point of the backrest shell to compensate for tension.
  • a structurally simple embodiment of the backrest is made possible, in which thanks to the bending areas, the backrest peelings in the upper fastening region is firmly and immovably connected to the backrest shell support.
  • the curvature of the protrusion in a lumbar region is individually adjustable. Thanks to the adjustable shape of the backrest, the spine of a seated user remains in its correct position, so that back problems can be prevented by incorrect posture.
  • the backrest shell on two bending areas.
  • an approximately S-shaped curvature of the backrest shell can be achieved, which corresponds to the natural shape of the human spine.
  • the upper fastening region, the middle part arranged between the two bending regions, and the remaining lower part of the backrest shell preferably extend over in each case one third of the total length of the backrest shell.
  • the backrest shell is formed from a substantially rigid-elastic material, which has a sufficient dimensional stability to form a supporting backrest shell with a low elasticity.
  • the backrest shell is formed of a hard plastic. Thanks to its hardness, the material, with sufficient elasticity, can absorb the compressive force with which a user person supporting himself against the backrest acts, without the shape of the backrest shell substantially changing.
  • At least one of the bending regions is formed by recesses.
  • the material of the backrest shell generally has a limited elasticity in order to provide the sitting person with sufficient counterforce.
  • the elasticity in the bending areas is increased in a simple manner by recesses in the material, without compromising the strength of the backrest.
  • the bending properties can be adjusted by the size, the shape and the distance between the recesses.
  • At least one of the bending areas is formed by a single recess extending transversely to the longitudinal direction.
  • the recess is formed in particular slot-shaped or rectangular.
  • the recess is dimensioned and placed so that the webs can absorb the bending moment when leaning a person against the backrest, without breaking it.
  • a lower bending area is formed spaced from the lower mounting area.
  • the lower bending region is positioned in such a way that the extremum of the protrusion, which adjusts preferably in the region of the bending region, is orthopedically favorable.
  • a particularly comfortable and orthopedic effective design of the backrest shell is ensured if the lower bending area is approximately in the lower third of the length of the backrest shell, measured from the lower mounting area.
  • an upper bending area is formed adjacent to the upper mounting area.
  • the backrest shell is fixedly and immovably mounted on the backrest shell support in the upper attachment region, for example by means of screws or an adhesive. Due to the protrusion due to the rigid attachment possibly occurring there material stresses are reduced by the upper bending area. Thus it can be dispensed with a complex joint element
  • the backrest shell in the lower mounting region is pivotally connected to a Verstellschlitten, which is guided in a arranged on the backrest shell support in the longitudinal direction guide rail.
  • a Verstellschlitten By means of the movable along the guide rail Verstellschlittens an adjustment of the protrusion is ensured in a particularly simple manner, so that a desired degree of protrusion is effected by the respective position of the Verstellschlittens.
  • the articulated connection allows the bending of the backrest shell occurring during displacement of the adjustment slide.
  • the connection can be designed in particular as a uniaxial joint, but also as a ball joint. The latter also allows corner loads on the backrest shell.
  • the guide rail and the adjusting slide on interlocking locking elements for a releasable locking.
  • the adjustment slide can be moved up and down along the guide rail and locked in the desired position.
  • latching e.g. Teeth, ratchets or a wheel can be used.
  • the guide rail extends over approximately the lower third of the backrest shell support. This is sufficient to provide sufficient protrusion effecting the necessary counterforce to support the spine of a seated person.
  • the backrest shell is formed in the longitudinal direction substantially S-shaped. This is achieved in that the region of the backrest shell above the upper bending region is approximately concave with respect to the backrest shell support in the longitudinal direction.
  • the S-shaped backrest shell is ideally suited to the spine curve and, in addition to the comfort it provides, it represents an effective orthopedic aid.
  • the backrest shell is fixedly mounted on the backrest shell support above the upper bending region. This leads to a stabilization of the backrest and to maintaining the shape of the backrest shell.
  • the second object is achieved by a chair, in particular an office chair, with a backrest according to one of the preceding claims.
  • a chair in particular an office chair, with a backrest according to one of the preceding claims.
  • the advantages and preferred embodiments listed with regard to the backrest are to be transferred analogously to the chair.
  • FIG. 1 an office chair 2 is shown, which is designed as a rolling rack seat carrier 4, a rotatably supported on the seat support 4 seat 6 and a Backrest 8 includes.
  • the backrest 8 has lean back a extending in a longitudinal direction L backrest support 10 and lean forward on a backrest shell 12.
  • the seat back shell 12 has an upper attachment portion 14 and a lower attachment portion 16 in which it is connected to the seat back support 10.
  • the backrest shell 12 is immovably connected to the backrest shell support 10.
  • the connection via an actuator not shown here which is displaceable in the longitudinal direction L.
  • the backrest shell is formed of a rigid-elastic plastic.
  • the seat back shell 12 When the actuator is in its lowermost position, the seat back shell 12 has a protrusion 18, which is formed by means of a lower bending region 20. Below the upper fastening region 14 and adjacent to it, a second bending region 22 is formed, over which the material stresses resulting in the upper mounting region 14 due to the protrusion are broken down.
  • a second bending region 22 By the two bending areas 20 and 22 results in the drawn orthopedic effective shape of the backrest shell 12 without elaborate shaping elements are needed.
  • the backrest shell 12 is covered in the mounted state of the chair 2, in particular with a padded cover.
  • the side view of the enlarged backrest 8 in Fig. 2 shows the adjustment of the protrusion 18 of the backrest shell 12.
  • the backrest shell 12 has a limited elasticity, which is locally increased by the two bending regions 20, 22. At the same time, the material is strong enough to absorb the force acting on the backrest shell 12 when a person is leaning against the backrest 8.
  • An individual custom adjustment of the protrusion 18 is possible by moving the actuator in the longitudinal direction L, which is adjustable by a rotating mechanism 23.
  • a second adjustment position of the actuator or a larger protrusion of the backrest shell 12 is indicated in the figure by the dashed lines, which protrude leaning front side between the two mounting portions 14 and 16.
  • the part 24 of the backrest shell 12 above the upper bending portion 22 has a slight concave curvature in the longitudinal direction of the backrest shell support 10 and is rigid, so that this concave shape does not change even when We kung a force on the backrest 8.
  • an indicated S-shaped contour of the seat back shell 12 comprising an upper, rigid, concave portion 24 and a lower portion with a convex protrusion 18, the degree of which can be varied depending on the position of the actuator.
  • the two bending regions 20, 22 are each formed by a slot-like or rectangular recess 26, which extends transversely to the longitudinal direction L. Both sides of the recesses 26 remain opposite webs 28, which make the backrest shell 12 in this area flexible. The thickness of the webs 28 is dimensioned such that they do not break when stressed the material with a bending moment.
  • the backrest shell 12 is firmly mounted on the backrest shell support 10. This is effected in particular by means of fastening screws, not shown, are provided for the four holes 30 in the backrest shell 12.
  • the actuator in the lower mounting portion 16 of the backrest shell 12 is formed in the manner of an adjustment slide.
  • it In order to allow a bending of the backrest shell 12, it is rotatably mounted on the adjustment slide. This is achieved by a loose or movable attachment of the backrest shell 12 in the manner of a ball joint on the adjustment slide.
  • the ball joint bearing pin 32 is visible.
  • a guide rail 34 is arranged on the backrest shell support 10, which extends in the longitudinal direction L approximately over the lower third of the back tendon support 10 stretches.
  • the adjusting slide and the guide rail 34 have locking elements which engage in one another.
  • the adjustment slide can in this case ratchet-like moved up and down along the guide rail 34 and locked in different positions. This connection is detachable, so that by means of very little effort another degree of protrusion 18 can be adjusted by means of the adjusting slide.
