Abstract

Vorliegende Erfindung betrifft Polyurethanharnstofffasern mit erhöhter Dehnbarkeit, die als Additiv Phosphorsäureester enthalten. Die Polyurethanharnstofffasem besitzen außerdem flammwidrige und selbstlöschende Eigenschaften sowie eine sehr gute optische Gleichmäßigkeit. Verwendet werden sie u.a. zur Herstellung von elastischen Geweben und textilen Waren.

Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft elastische Polyurethanliamstofffasern, die Phosphorsäureester enthalten, deren Herstellung und deren Verwendung zur Herstellung von Gewirken, Gestricken oder Geweben.
Der im Rahmen der vorliegenden Erfmdungsbeschreibung verwendete Ausdruck Faser umfasst Stapelfasern und kontinuierliche Filamente, die durch im Prinzip bekannte Spinnverfahren wie das Trockenspinnverfahren, das Nassspinnverfahren oder das Schmelzspinnverfahren hergestellt werden können.
Diese Spinnverfahren sind beispielsweise beschrieben in Polyurethanharnstofffasern, H. GaIl und M. Kausch in Kunststoff-Handbuch 7, Polyurethane, Herausgeber: G. Oertel, Carl Hanser Verlag München Wien, 1993, Seite 679 bis 694.
Elastische Polyurethanharnstofffasern aus langkettigen synthetischen Polymeren, die zu wenig- stens 85 % aus segmentierten Polyurethanen auf Basis von z.B. Polyethem, Polyestern und/oder Polycarbonaten aufgebaut sind, sind gut bekannt. Garne aus solchen Fasern werden zur Herstellung von Flächenwaren bzw. Gewirken, Vliese, Armierungen, Gestricken, Geweben oder Stoffen verwendet, die ihrerseits für textile oder technische Einsatzbereiche geeignet sind, unter anderem für Miederwaren, Strümpfe und Sportbekleidung oder Raumdekoration und Sitzbezüge.
Polyurethanharnstofffasern zeigen eine hervorragende Elastizität und starke Dehnbarkeit in Kombination mit hohen Rückstellkräften. Aufgrund dieser hervorragenden Eigenschaftskombination finden sie breite Verwendung zum Beispiel im Bekleidungsbereich. Die Herstellung von durch Polyurethanharnstofffasern elastifizierten Textilien oder technischen Artikeln ist schwierig, da die elastischen Polyurethanharnstofffasern bei der Verarbeitung mit zum Beispiel Strickmaschinen aufgrund nicht ausreichender Dehnbarkeit abreißen können, mit der Folge von unerwünschtem Maschinenstillstand. Nach Reparatur dieser Fehlstelle und den dann folgenden Prozessschritten, zum Beispiel Waschvorgängen, Heissluffbehandlung und Färbung, zur Herstellung einer fertigen textilen Flächenware kann die optische Gleichmässigkeit und damit die Qualität negativ beeinflusst werden. Das optische Erscheinungsbild des Textils oder technischen Artikels kann somit gestört sein und führt in einem solchen Fall zu Minderqualitäten, gegebenenfalls auch zu nicht verkaufbaren Produkten.
Wie in EP 421 217 A beschrieben, kann die Dehnbarkeit von Polyurethanharnstofffasern verbessert werden durch Verwendung spezieller Diole und Katalysatoren bei der Polymersynthese. Die Herstellung von Polyurethanharnstofffasem nach dem in EP 421 217 A beschriebenen Verfahren erfordert jedoch zur Herstellung der Spinnlösung einen teuren kompletten Aufbau einer unabhängigen Polymerisationsstraße. Weiterhin können die für die OH/NCO-Reaktion eingesetzten Katalysatoren zu unerwünschten Nebenreaktionen führen und den Spinnprozess negativ beeinflussen. Gemäß der EP 872 581 A kann eine Polyurethanhamstofffaser mit verbesserter Dehnbarkeit erhalten werden ebenfalls durch die Verwendung spezieller Diole in der Polymersynthese. Die Herstellung von Polyurethanharnstofffasem nach EP 872 581 A erfordert jedoch ein spezielles und teures PoIy diol verbunden mit einer kompletten und daher teuren Installierung einer unabhängigen Polymerisationsstraße für die Spinnlösung.
Aufgabe der vorliegenden Erfindung ist es nun, Polyurethanharnstofffasem mit verbesserter Dehnbarkeit zur Verfügung zu stellen, die die zuvor genannten Nachteile nicht aufweisen. So soll zur Herstellung der Polyurethanharnstofffasem mit verbesserter Dehnbarkeit kein speziell für diesen Einsatzzweck synthetisiertes Diol eingesetzt werden. Ebenso soll zur Herstellung dieser Polyurethanharnstofffasem keine unabhängige Polymerisationsstraße aufgebaut oder ein Katalysator während der OH/NCO-Reaktion eingesetzt werden. Darüber hinaus soll es während der Verarbeitung der erfindungsgemäßen Polyurethanhamstofffasem mit der verbesserten Dehnbarkeit zu Textilien oder technischen Artikeln zu keinen Fadenbrüchen mit den Folgen von Maschinenstillständen oder einer Minderqualität aufgrund nicht ausreichender optischer Gleichmäßigkeit der hergestellten Artikel kommen.
Es wurde gefunden, dass die Erhöhung der Dehnbarkeit von Polyurethanharnstofffasem gelingt, indem einer synthetisierten Polyurethanhamstoffspinnlösung vor dem Verspinnen ein Phosphorsäureester zugesetzt wird. Es wurde außerdem gefunden, dass die weiteren mechanischen Fadendaten der Polyurethanhamstofffasem durch diesen Zusatz nicht negativ beeinflusst werden und der Spinnprozess zur Herstellung der Polyurethanhamstofffasem mit hoher Prozesssicherheit erfolgen kann. Darüber hinaus wurde gefunden, dass die Einarbeitung des Zusatzes in die Polyurethanhamstoffspinnlösung ohne großen Aufwand möglich ist, da die Dispergierbarkeit der eingesetzten Phosphorsäureester in der Spinnlösung zur Herstellung Polyurethanhamstofffasem hervorragend ist und eine homogene Verteilung des Phosphorsäureesters innerhalb der Polyurethanhamstofffasem erhalten wird. Außerdem wurde gefunden, dass die Weiterverarbeitung der Polyurethanharnstofffasem mit erhöhter Dehnbarkeit bis hin zu einem Textil oder technischen Artikel ohne Fadenabrisse der Polyurethanhamstofffaser gelingt und die hieraus gefertigten Produkte eine sehr gute optische Gleichmäßigkeit und damit verbunden eine sehr gute Qualität des fertigen Produktes zeigen. Weiterhin wurde gefunden, dass die Polyurethanhamstofffasem flammwidrig und selbstverlöschend sind und der Deutschen Norm 4102-1 zum Brandverhalten von Baustoffen und Bauteilen entsprechen. Flammwidrige und selbstverlöschende Polyurethanhamstofffasem sind bisher nicht bekannt. Gegenstand der vorliegenden Erfindung sind daher Polyurethanharnstofffasern, die dadurch gekennzeichnet sind, dass sie aus
A) 99,9 bis 70 Gew.-%, insbesondere 99,8 bis 80 Gew.-%, ganz besonders bevorzugt 99,7 bis 85 Gew.-% Polyurethanharnstoffpolymer,
B) 0,3 bis 25 Gew.-%, insbesondere 0,7 bis 20 Gew.-%, ganz besonders bevorzugt 1,0 bis 15 Gew.-% Phosphorsäureester entsprechend der allgemeinen Formel (1)
worin
R1, R2 und R3 gleich oder verschieden sind und für Alkylgruppen mit 1 bis 12, bevorzugt 2 bis 8 Kohlenstoffatomen stehen, wobei die Alkylgruppen ein- oder mehrfach durch Chlor substituiert sein können
oder für
Arylgruppen mit der allgemeinen Formel [-C6R4, R5, R6, R7, R8, R9], wobei die Reste R4 bis R9 gleich oder verschieden sein können und für Wasserstoff, Chlor oder eine Alkylgruppe mit 1 bis 12, bevorzugt 1 bis 8 Kohlenstoffatomen stehen, insbesondere jedoch für
Wasserstoff oder eine Alkylgruppe mit 1 bis 3 Kohlenstoffatomen, ganz besonders bevorzugt für Wasserstoff oder eine Methylgruppe,
und ggf.
C) 0,1 bis 15 Gew.-% Zusatzstoffen
bestehen, wobei sich Prozentangaben auf das Gesamtgewicht der Fasern beziehen.
Die Alkylreste der oben genannten Formel für R1, R2 und R3 stehen ganz besonders bevorzugt für 2-Ethyl-Hexylreste.
Als Arylgruppen der oben genannten allgemeinen Formel sind ganz besonders bevorzugt folgende Arylgruppen zu nennen:
Beispiele für den erfindungsgemäßen Polyurethanharnstofffasern zugesetzte Phosphorsäureester sind solche aus der Gruppe der halogenierten Phosphate, z.B. Trichlorisopropylphosphat, Tri-1,3- Dichlorisopropylphosphat und Trichlorethylphosphat, aus der Gruppe der Arylphosphate, zum Beispiel Triphenylphosphat, Diphenylkresylphosphat, Phenyldikresylphosphat, Trikresylphosphat, Diphenylisopropylphenylphosphat und Di-tert.-butylphenylphenylphosphat, aus der Gruppe der Arylalkylphosphate, zum Beispiel Diphenyl-2-ethylhexylphosphat und Diphenylisodecylphosphat, aus der Gruppe der Alkylphosphate, zum Beispiel Triethylphosphat und Tri-2-ethylhexylphosphat und aus der Gruppe der kondensierten Phosphate, zum Beispiel Diphenylphosphat kondensiert mit Resorcin, Diphenylphosphat kondensiert mit Bisphenol A und Diphenylphosphat kondensiert mit Ethandiol, Propandiol, Butandiol, Ethylenglycol oder Propylenglycol.
Besonders bevorzugte zugesetzte Phosphorsäureester sind solche aus der Gruppe der halogenierten Phosphate, zum Beispiel Trichlorisopropylphosphat und Tri-1,3-Dichlorisopropylphosphat, aus der
Gruppe der Arylphosphate, zum Beispiel Triphenylphosphat, Diphenylkresylphosphat,
Phenyldikresylphosphat und Trikresylphosphat, aus der Gruppe der Arylalkylphosphate, zum
Beispiel Diphenyl-2-ethylhexylphosρhat, aus der Gruppe der Alkylphosphate, zum Beispiel Tri-2- ethylhexylphosphat und aus der Gruppe der kondensierten Phosphate, zum Beispiel Diphenylphosphat kondensiert mit Resorcin und Diphenylphosphat kondensiert mit Bisphenol A.
Ganz besonders bevorzugte Phosphorsäureester sind solche aus der Gruppe der Arylphosphate, zum Beispiel Triphenylphosphat, Diphenylkresylphosphat und Phenyldikresylphosphat, aus der Gruppe der Arylalkylphosphate, zum Beispiel Diphenyl-2-ethylhexylphosphat aus der Gruppe der kondensierten Phosphate, zum Beispiel Diphenylphosphat kondensiert mit Resorcin und Diphenylphosphat kondensiert mit Bisphenol A.
Die erfindungsgemäßen Polyurethanharnstofffasern basieren auf segmentierten Polyurethanharnstoffpolymeren. Die Polymere weisen Segmentstruktur auf, d.h. sie bestehen aus "kristallinen" und "amorphen" Blöcken (sogenannte Hartsegmente bzw. Weichsegmente).
Die Polyurethanharnstofffasern können insbesondere aus einem linearen Homo- oder Copolymer mit je einer Hydroxygruppe am Ende des Moleküls und einem Molekulargewicht von 600 bis 4000 g/mol, wie Polyetherdiole, Polyesterdiole, Polyesteramiddiole, Polycarbonatdiole oder aus deren Gemischen hergestellt werden. Besonders bevorzugt sind Polyesterdiole und Polyetherdiole, ganz besonders bevorzugt sind Polyesterdiole, da Polyesterdiole ohne Zusatz von weiteren Stabilisatoren gegen einen Abbau durch chloriertes Wasser stabilisiert sind. Weiterhin basieren sie auf organischen Diisocyanaten, mit denen die polymeren Diole zu endständig isocyanatfunktionellen Präpolymeren umgesetzt werden, und Diaminen oder Mischungen verschiedener Diamine als Kettenverlängerer, mit denen die endständig isocyanatfunktionellen Präpolymere zu Hochpolymeren umgesetzt werden. Beispiele für organische Diisocyanate sind 4,4'-Diphenylmethandiisocyanat, Isophorondiisocyanat und 4,4'-Dicyclohexylmethandiisocyanat. Beispiele für Diamine sind Ethylendiamin, 1,2- Propandiamin, 2-Methyl-l,5-diaminopentan, Isophorondiamin, 1,3-Diaminocyclohexan, 1-Methyl- 2,4-diaminocyclohexan oder 1,2-Diaminocyclohexan.
Die Polyurethanharastofffasern können nach grundsätzlich bekannten Verfahren hergestellt werden, wie beispielsweise nach denjenigen, die in den Schriften US 3 553 290 und US 3 555 115 und in der Schrift WO 9 3/09 174 beschrieben sind.
Die Phosphorsäureester können der Polyurethanharnstoffspinnlösung bei der Herstellung der Polyurethanharnstofffasern an beliebiger Stelle der Verarbeitung zugesetzt werden. Beispielsweise kann der Phosphorsäureester als Flüssigkeit, Pulver oder in Form einer Dispersion zu einer Lösung, Dispersion oder Aufschlämmung von anderen Additiven hinzugefügt werden. Die Phosphorsäureester können dann bei einer Verarbeitung zu Fasern in Bezug auf die Faserspinndüsen stromaufwärts mit der Polymerspinnlösung vermischt oder in diese eingespeist werden. Natürlich können die Phosphorsäurrester auch getrennt zu der Polymerspinnlösung als Flüssigkeit, Pulver oder in Form einer Dispersion in einem geeigneten Medium hinzugefügt werden. Die Phosphorsäureester können weiterhin in den o.g. Formulierungen bei der gewöhnlichen Polyurethanharnstoffherstellung zugesetzt werden.
Die erfindungsgemäßen Polyurethanharnstofffasern können gegebenenfalls als Zusatzstoffe C) für verschiedene Zwecke Stoffe wie Mattierungsmittel, Füllstoffe, Antioxidantien, Farbstoffe, Trennmittel, Antistatika und/oder Stabilisatoren gegen Wärme, Licht, UV-Strahlung, Stickoxide, chlorhaltiges Wasser und gegen Dämpfe, enthalten.
Beispiele für Antioxidantien, Stabilisatoren gegen Wärme, Licht, UV-Strahlung oder Stickoxide sind Stabilisatoren aus der Gruppe der sterisch gehinderten Phenole, HALS-Stabilisatoren (hindered amine light stabilizer), Triazine, Benzophenone und der Benzotriazole. Beispiele für Trennmittel sind Magnesium-Stearat, Calcium-Stearat und Aluminium-Stearat. Beispiele für Antistatika sind Alkalimetalle der Sulfobernsteinsäureester oder ethylenoxid- oder propylenoxid- modifizierte Silikone. Beispiele für Pigmente und Mattierungsmittel sind Titandioxid, Zinkoxid und Bariumsulfat. Beispiele für Farbstoffe sind saure Farbstoffe, Dispersions- und Pigmentfarbstoffe und optische Aufheller. Beispiele für Stabilisatoren gegen Abbau der Fasern durch Chlor oder chlorhaltiges Wasser sind Zinkoxid, Magnesiumoxid, Magnesium-Calcium- oder Magnesium-Aluminium-Hydroxycarbonate. Die genannten Stabilisatoren können auch in Mischungen eingesetzt werden. Die genannten Zusätze sollen bevorzugt in solchen Mengen dosiert werden, dass sie keine dem Phosphorsäureester entgegen gesetzten Wirkungen zeigen. Die Dehnbarkeit von Polyurethanhamstofffasem, welche mittels eines Trocken- oder Nassspinnprozesses hergestellt werden können, kann in Hinblick auf die Weiterverarbeitung nicht ausreichend hoch sein. Bei nicht ausreichender Dehnbarkeit besteht die Gefahr, dass bei der Weiterverarbeitung der Fasern über z.B. Strickmaschinen bis hin zu textilen Flächenwaren oder technischen Artikeln Abrisse von Fasern auftreten und die Qualität der resultierenden Produkte nicht ausreichend ist. Bei Einarbeitung von Phosphorsäureestern in die Polyurethan- hamstoffspinnlösungen entsprechend der Erfindung tritt überraschenderweise eine Erhöhung der Dehnbarkeit der Polyurethanhamstofffasem auf, ohne das weitere mechanische Fadendaten negativ beeinflusst werden. Es wurde gefunden, dass die Einarbeitung der Phosphorsäureester in Polyurethanharnstoff spinnlösungen ohne großen Aufwand möglich ist, da die Dispergierbarkeit der eingesetzten Phosphorsäureester in der Polyurethanharnstoffspinnlösung hervorragend ist. Darüber hinaus erfolgt der Spinnprozess kontinuierlich über eine lange Standzeit der Spinndüsen ohne Druckaufbau aufgrund von Agglomeratbildung an den Spinndüsen und sichert so eine homogene und konstante Verteilung des Phosphorsäureesters in der Polyurethanharnstofffaser und eine damit verbundene gute Betriebssicherheit und Wirtschaftlichkeit im Trocken- oder Nassspinnprozess der erfindungsgemäßen Polyurethanhamstofffasem. Bei der Verarbeitung der erfindungsgemäßen Polyurethanhamstofffasem zeigen die hergestellten textilen Flächenwaren überraschenderweise eine sehr gute optische Gleichmäßigkeit und entsprechen damit einer sehr guten Qualität. Weiterhin wurde in Brandtests an den erfindungsgemäßen PoIy- urethanharnstofffasern überraschenderweise eine sehr gute flammwidrige und selbstverlöschende Wirkung festgestellt. Diese sehr vorteilhaften Eigenschaften entsprechen der Deutschen Norm DIN 4102-1 zum Brandverhalten von Baustoffen und Bauteilen.
Gegenstand der vorliegenden Erfindung ist daher auch ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von Polyurethanhamstofffasem nach dem Trockenspinn- oder Nassspinnverfahren, bevorzugt nach dem Trockenspinnverfahren, das dadurch gekennzeichnet ist, dass der Polyurethanhamstoffspinnlösung vor dem Verspinnen der Lösung zur Polyurethanharnstofffaser 0,3 bis 25 Gew.-%, insbesondere 0,7 bis 20 Gew.-%, ganz besonders bevorzugt 1,0 bis 15 Gew.-% Phosphorsäureester der zuvor genannten Formel in üblicher Weise zugemischt werden und ggf. 0,1 bis 15 Gew.-% Zusatzstoffe.
Ein weiterer Gegenstand der vorliegenden Erfindung ist die Verwendung der erfindungsgemäßen Polyurethanhamstofffasem zur Herstellung von elastischen Geweben, Vliese, Armierungen, Gestricken, Gewirken, textilen Waren und technischen Artikeln.
Die erfindungsgemäßen Polyurethanhamstofffasem werden bevorzugt bei der Herstellung von Mischgeweben zusammen mit anderen Beigarnen auf synthetischer Basis, z.B. Polyamid, Polyester oder Polyacrylnitril, oder auf nicht synthetischer Basis, z.B. Baumwolle, Wolle, Leinen oder Seide, verwendet.
Wie zuvor erwähnt, können mit Hilfe der erfindungsgemäßen Polyurethanhamstofffasem flammwidrig und selbstlöschende elastische Gewebe, Gestricke, Vliese, Armierungen, Gewirke, textile Waren und technische Artikel entsprechend DDST 4102-1 hergestellt und damit deren Brandverhalten wesentlich verbessern werden.
Die Erfindung wird nachfolgend durch die Beispiele, welche jedoch keine Beschränkung der Erfindung darstellen, weiter erläutert. Alle Prozentangaben beziehen sich auf das Gesamtgewicht der Fasern, sofern nichts anderes angegeben wird.
Beispiele:
Die für die nachfolgenden Beispiele und die Vergleichsbeispiele eingesetzten Polyurethan- harnstoffspinnlösungen auf der Basis von Polyesterdiol und Polyetherdiol wurden nach folgenden Verfahrensweisen hergestellt (alle Prozentangaben beziehen sich auf das Gesamtgewicht der Fasern, sofern nichts anderes angegeben ist):
Eine Polyurethanharnstoffspinnlösung wurde aus einem Polyesterdiol mit einem durchschnittlichen Molekulargewicht von 2000 g/mol hergestellt, welches aus Adipinsäure, Hexandiol und Neopentylglykol besteht, in Dimethylacetamid mit Methylen-bis(4-phenyldüsocyanat) (MDI) mit einem molaren Verhältnis von 1 zu 1,85 gekappt und dann mit einem Gemisch aus Ethylendiamin (EDA) und Diethylamin (DEA) in Dimethylacetamid kettenverlängert wurde. Das Molekulargewicht des Polyesterdiols ist auf das Zahlenmittel bezogen. Der Gehalt an Polymer in der hergestellten Polyurethanharnstoffspinnlösung betrug 22 Gew.-%. Durch Zugabe von Hexamethylendiisocyanat (HDI) wurde das Molekulargewicht der
Polyurethanharnstoffspinnlösung so eingestellt, dass eine Viskosität von 70 Pa*s bei einer Meßtemperatur von 25°C resultierte.
Der so hergestellten Polyurethanharnstoffspinnlösung wurden als Additiv 1,0 Gew.-% Cyanox® 1790 (l,3,5-Tris(4-tert.-butyl-3-hydroxy-2,5-dimethylbenzyl)-l,3,5-triazin-2,4,6-(lH,3H,5H)-trion, Fa. Cytec), 0,5 Gew.-% Tinuvin® 622 (Polymer bestehend aus Bernsteinsäure und 4-Hydroxy- 2,2,6,6-tetramethyl-l-piperidinethanol, Fa. Ciba), 0,4 Gew.-% Silwet® L 7607 (Polyalkoxy- modifiziertes Polydimethylsiloxan; Viskosität: 50 mPas (bei 25°C), Molekulargewicht 1000 g/mol, Fa. GE Specialty Materials) und 0,4 Gew.-% Magnesium-Stearat zugesetzt. Die angegeben Mengen sind in Gewichts-Prozent (Gew.-%) angegeben und beziehen sich auf den Gehalt an Polymer in der Polyurethanharnstoffspinnlösung.
Diese Polyurethanharnstoffspinnlösung wurde zu den Spinndüsen gefördert. Stromaufwärts der Spinndüsen wurde dieser Polyurethanharnstoffspinnlösung eine Additivmischung zugemischt, die die im Folgenden angegebenen Mengen des Additivs zur Erhöhung der Dehnbarkeit der Polyurethanharnstofffasern enthielt:

2,0 Gew.-% (bezogen auf den Feststoffgehalt der Polyurethanharastoffspinnlösung) an Triphenylphosphat, als 50%ige Dispersion in Dimethylacetamid (Gew.-%) und 30 Gew.-% einer 22%igen Polyurethanharnstoffspinnlösung (Triphenylphosphat, Disflamoll® TP, Hersteller Fa. Lanxess). Beispiel 2 (erfindungsgemäß):
4,0 Gew.-% (bezogen auf den Feststoffgehalt der Polyurethanharnstoffspinnlösung) an Triphenylphosphat, als 50%ige Dispersion in Dimethylacetamid (Gew.-%) und 30 Gew.-% einer 22%igen Polyurethanharnstoffspinnlösung (Triphenylphosphat, Disflamoll® TP, Hersteller Fa. Lanxess).
Beispiel 3 (erfindungsgemäß):
8,0 Gew.-% (bezogen auf den Feststoffgehalt der Polyurethanharnstoffspinnlösung) an Triphenylphosphat, als 50%ige Dispersion in Dimethylacetamid (Gew.-%) und 30 Gew.-% einer 22%igen Polyurethanharnstoffspinnlösung (Triphenylphosphat, Disflamoll® TP, Hersteller Fa. Lanxess).
Vergleichsbeispiel 1 (Vl):
Kein Zusatz eines Additivs in die Polyurethanharnstoffspinnlösung auf der Basis von Polyesterdiol zur Erhöhung der Dehnbarkeit.
Die fertige Spinnlösung wurde durch Spinndüsen in einer für einen Trockenspinnprozess typischen Spinnapparatur zu Filamenten mit einem Titer von 13 dtex trocken versponnen, wobei jeweils sechs Einzelfilamente zu koaleszierenden Filamentgarnen zusammengefasst wurden. Die Faserpräparation (Baysilone®-Öl M20, Fa. GE Bayer Silicones) wurde über eine Präparations walze aufgetragen, wobei 4 Gew.-% bezogen auf das Gewicht der Polyurethanharnstofffaser appliziert wurden. Die Abzugsgeschwindigkeit der Fadenwickler betrug 350 m/min.
Die so erhaltenen Filamente wurden gemäß ihrer mechanischen Eigenschaften untersucht und charakterisiert. Hierzu wurden vor allem die Höchstzugkraftdehnung (HZKD) in Anlehnung an die DIN 53834 Teil 1 vermessen. Zu diesem Zweck werden Zugversuche im klimatisierten Zustand an den Polyurethanharnstofffasern durchgeführt. Der vorbereitete Prüfling wird dazu in einer Schlinge um den Haken des Messkopfes und um eine 10 mm Umschlingungsklemme mit einer Vorspannkraft von 0,001 cN/dtex gelegt. Die Einspannlänge beträgt insgesamt 200 mm. Ein aus Alufolie bestehendes Fähnchen wird genau auf Höhe einer Lichtschranke eingehängt. Der Schlitten fährt mit einer Verformungsgeschwindigkeit von 400%/min (800mm Abzug) bis zum Bruch des Fadens und nach der Messung wieder in seine Ausgangsstellung zurück. Pro Prüfling werden 20 Messungen durchgeführt.
Die Tabelle 1 zeigt die mechanischen Fadendaten der aus den zuvor genannten Beispielen resultierenden Filamente. Eine weitere Polyurethanhamstoffspinnlösung wurde aus einem Polyetherdiol mit einem durchschnittlichen Molekulargewicht von 2000 g/mol hergestellt, welches aus Polytetrahydrofuran (PTHF) besteht. Polytetrahydrofuran wurde mit Methylen-bis(4-phenyldiisocyanat) (MDI) mit einem molaren Verhältnis von 1 zu 1,65 gekappt, in Dimethylacetamid verdünnt und dann mit einem Gemisch aus Ethylendiamin (EDA) und Diethylamin (DEA) in Dimethylacetamid ketten- verlängert. Das Molekulargewicht des Polyethers ist auf das Zahlenmittel bezogen. Der Gehalt an Polymer in der hergestellten Polyurethanharnstoffspinnung betrug 30 Gew.-%, die Viskosität 250 Pa*s bei einer Messtemperatur von 500C.
Der so hergestellten Polyurethanhamstoffspinnlösung wurden als Additiv 1,0 Gew.-% Cyanox® 1790 (l,3,5-Tris(4-tert.-butyl-3-hydroxy-2,5-dimethylbenzyl)-l,3,5-triazm-2,4,6-(lH,3H,5H)-trion,
Fa. Cytec), 0,3 Gew.-% Silwet® L 7607 (Polyalkoxy-modifiziertes Polydimethylsiloxan;
Viskosität: 50 mPas (bei 25°C), Molekulargewicht 1000 g/mol, Fa. GE Specialty Materials) und
0,3 Gew.-% Magnesium-Stearat zugesetzt. Die angegeben Mengen sind in Gewichts-Prozent
(Gew.-%) angegeben und beziehen sich auf den Gehalt an Polymer in der PoIy- urethanharnstoffspinnlösung.
Diese Polyurethanhamstoffspinnlösung wurde zu den Spinndüsen gefördert. Stromaufwärts der Spinndüsen wurde dieser Polyurethanhamstoffspinnlösung eine Additivmischung zugesetzt, die die im Folgenden angegebenen Mengen des Additivs zur Erhöhung der Dehnbarkeit der Polyurethanhamstofffasem enthielt:
Beispiel 5 (erfindungsgemäß):
4,0 Gew.-% (bezogen auf den Feststoffgehalt der Polyurethanhamstoffspinnlösung) an Triphenylphosphat, als 50%ige Dispersion in Dimethylacetamid (Gew.-%) und 40 Gew.-% einer 30%igen Polyurethanhamstoffspinnlösung (Triphenylphosphat, Disflamoll® TP, Hersteller Fa. Lanxess).
Beispiel 6 (erfindungsgemäß):
8,0 Gew.-% (bezogen auf den Feststoff gehalt der Polyurethanhamstoffspinnlösung) an Triphenylphosphat, als 50%ige Dispersion in Dimethylacetamid (Gew.-%) und 40 Gew.-% einer 30%igen Polyurethanhamstoffspinnlösung (Triphenylphosphat, Disflamoll® TP, Hersteller Fa. Lanxess).
Beispiel 7 (erfindungsgemäß):
12,0 Gew.-% (bezogen auf den Feststoffgehalt der Polyurethanhamstoffspinnlösung) an Triphenylphosphat, als 50%ige Dispersion in Dimethylacetamid (Gew.-%) und 40 Gew.-% einer 30%igen Polyurethanharnstoffspinnlösung (Triphenylphosphat, Disflamoll® TP, Hersteller Fa. Lanxess).
Vergleichsbeispiel 2 (V2):
Kein Zusatz eines Additivs in die Polyurethanhamstoffspinnlösung auf der Basis von Polyetherdiol zur Erhöhung der Dehnbarkeit.
Die fertige Spinnlösung wurde durch Spinndüsen in einer für einen Trockenspinnprozess typischen Spinnapparatur zu Filamenten mit einem Titer von 15 dtex trocken versponnen, wobei jeweils drei Einzelfilamente zu koaleszierenden Filamentgarnen zusammengefaßt wurden. Die Faserpräparation (Baysilone®-Öl M5, Fa. GE Bayer Silicones) wurde über eine Präparations walze aufgetragen, wobei 4 Gew.-% bezogen auf das Gewicht der Polyurethanharnstofffaser appliziert wurden. Die Abzugsgeschwindigkeit der Fadenwickler betrug 930 m/min.
Die Tabelle 1 zeigt die ermittelten mechanischen Fadendaten der aus den zuvor genannten Beispielen resultierenden Polyurethanharnstofffasem.
In einem weiteren Versuch wurde die Qualität der Filamente durch eine Beurteilung der optischen Gleichmäßigkeit nach Verarbeitung zu einer textilen Flächenware gemäß der im Folgenden beschriebenen Methode bestimmt.
Im ersten Schritt werden 685 Fäden vom Titer dtex 80 auf einer Elastan-Schärmaschine (Fa. Karl Mayer, Oberhausen) mit einer Vorverstreckung von 122 % und einer Endverstreckung von 40 % auf zwei Teilkettbäume (TKBs) geschärt.
Im zweiten Schritt wird aus diesen Teilkettbäumen zusammen mit zwei TKBs aus Polyamid dtex 44/12 der Fa. Snia eine elastische Kettwirkware hergestellt. Als Kettwirkmaschine wird ein Kettstuhl der Fa. Karl Mayer, Oberhausen eingesetzt.
Die so hergestellte Kettwirkware wird anschließend auf einem Dämpftisch entspannt. Im weiteren Verfahren erfolgt auf einem Spannrahmen eine Heißluftfixierung im nicht vorgewaschenen Zustand über eine Zeit von 40 sec bei einer Temperatur von 1800C.
In einem separaten Spannrahmendurchgang wird die fixierte Ware kalt auf perforierte Färbebäume gewickelt.
Die Färbung erfolgt im Baumfärbeapparat bei einer Temperatur von 98°C über eine Zeit von 60 Minuten in Blau gemäß der folgenden Rezeptur:
0,90 % Telon Lichtblau RR 182 % (Fa. Bayer AG; Säurefarbstoff) 0,05 % Telon Echtorange AGT 200 % (Fa. Bayer AG; Säurefarbstoff)
2,00 g/l Natriumacetat
1,50 % Levogal FTS (Fa. Bayer AG; Egalisiermittel) und
0,30 ml/1 Essigsäure.
Nach der Färbung wird die Ware im Spannrahmen bei einer Temperatur von 15O0C mit einer Warengeschwindigkeit von 10 m/min und einer Voreilung von 5 % fertig gespannt, wobei eine glatte Fertigware resultiert, die im Spannrahmenauslauf aufgewickelt wird.

Die Beurteilung der optischen Gleichmäßigkeit erfolgte durch eine optische Kontrolle der fertigen gefärbten Ware sowohl im Durchlicht als auch im Auflicht und wird mittels einer Notenskala (Prüfnote), die von 1 bis 9 reicht, beurteilt. Für die hier beschriebenen Polyurethanharnstofffasern dtex 80 stellen die Noten 1 bis 3 eine sehr gleichmäßige Ware dar, Note 4 entspricht nur noch einer guten Gleichmäßigkeit. Waren mit der Note 5 und Note 6 entsprechen einer nicht mehr befriedigenden Gleichmäßigkeit und sind gegebenenfalls noch als Sonderposten einsetzbar. Waren mit den Noten 7 bis 9 sind unverkäuflich.
Die Tabelle 1 zeigt neben den Filamenteigenschaften auch die Prüfnote von hergestellten textilen Flächenwaren nach einer Kettwirkverarbeitung der gemäß den Beispielen hergestellten Filamente zusammen mit Polyamid.
Die in Tabelle 1 gezeigten Ergebnisse belegen, dass durch die Einarbeitung von Phosphorsäureestern in Polyurethanharnstoffspinnlösung die Höchstzugkraftdehnung der resultierenden Polyurethanfaser signifikant erhöht wird. Dieses trifft gleichermaßen für Polyurethanfasern auf der Basis von Polyesterdiol als auch auf der Basis von Polyetherdiol zu. Weiterhin wird gezeigt, dass die Gleichmäßigkeit einer gemäß der Erfindung hergestellten textilen Flächenware und damit die Qualität dieser verbessert ist.
In einem weiteren Experiment wurden mit einer Strumpfmaschine Schläuche der Filamente gemäß dem erfindungsgemäßen Beispiel 3 und dem Vergleichsbeispiel 1 (Vl) hergestellt und das Brandverhalten geprüft. Die Beurteilung des Brandverhaltens erfolgte gemäß einem Test entsprechend der Deutschen Norm DUST 4102-1, Brandverhalten von Baustoffen und Bauteilen.
Der gemäß der Erfindung hergestellte Strickschlauch aus Filamentgarn Beispiel 3 bestand den zuvor genannten Brandtest entsprechend der Baustoffklassen Bl und B2. Dieses Ergebnis bestätigt die Flammwidrigkeit und selbstverlöschende Wirkung der erfindungsgemäßen Polyurethanharnstofffaser. Der gemäß dem Vergleichsbeispiel Vl hergestellte Strickschlauch bestand hingegen den zuvor genannten Brandtest nicht und wurde zerstört.

Claims

Patentansprüche
1. Polyurethanhamstofffasem, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass sie aus
A) 99,9 bis 70 Gew.-% Polyurethanharnstoffpolymer,
B) 0,3 bis 25 Gew.-% Phosphorsäureester der allgemeinen Formel
worin
R1, R2 und R3 gleich oder verschieden sind und für Alkylgruppen mit 1 bis 12 Kohlenstoffatomen stehen, wobei die Alkylgruppen ein- oder mehrfach durch Chlor substituiert sein können
oder für
Arylgruppen mit der allgemeinen Formel [-C6R4, R5, R6, R7, R8, R9], wobei die Reste R4 bis R9 gleich oder verschieden sein können und für Wasserstoff, Chlor oder eine Alkylgruppe mit 1 bis 12 Kohlenstoffatomen stehen
und ggf.
C) 0,1 bis 15 Gew.-% Zusatzstoffen
bestehen, wobei sich die Prozentangaben auf das Gesamtgewicht der Faser beziehen.
2. Verfahren zur Herstellung der Polyurethanharnstofffasern nach Anspruch 1 gemäß dem Trockenspinn- oder Nassspinnverfahren, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Polyurethanharnstoffspinnlösung vor dem Verspinnen der Lösung zur
Polyurethanharnstofffaser 0,3 bis 25 Gew.-% an Phosphorsäureester der allgemeinen Formel des Anspruchs 1 und ggf. 0,1 bis 15 Gew.-% Zusatzstoffe in üblicher Weise zugemischt werden.
3. Verwendung der Polyurethanharnstofffasern nach Anspruch 1 zur Herstellung elastischen Geweben, Gestricken, Gewirken, textilen Waren und technischen
Artikeln.
4. Verwendung der Polyurethanharnstofffasern nach Anspruch 1 zur Herstellung von Mischgeweben zusammen mit anderen Beigamen auf synthetischer Basis aus der Gruppe Polyamid, Polyester oder Polyacrylnitril, oder auf nicht synthetischer Basis, aus der Gruppe Baumwolle, Wolle, Leinen oder Seide.
