Definitions

  • the invention relates to a rotor pump with a stator housing forming a pump housing, a rotatably mounted in the pump housing rotor, and a rotor in the rotor substantially radially displaceable wings, which rests with at least one wing tip on an inner peripheral surface of the stator and thereby defining a suction chamber and a pressure chamber
  • the stator is formed by a metal band which forms part of the pump housing and at least partially surrounds the rotor, and the metal band is the peripheral wall of a housing cover, which is mounted on a housing plate receiving the axis of the rotor.
  • Such pumps are for example from the DE 10 2004 034 919 B3 known. They are also used in motor vehicles and sometimes subject to extreme temperature fluctuations. If such pumps are mounted in particular in the area of the exhaust system, for example next to the exhaust manifold, then these pumps are additionally heated from the outside, so that the material of the pump is exposed not only mechanical, but also extreme thermal loads. This must be taken into account when selecting the material for the pump. Although aluminum or an aluminum alloy would be optimal for making the housing of the pump due to its ease of processing and light weight, this material can not be used for such temperature loaded pumps, as it does not withstand these high temperatures of over 150 ° C to 200 ° C , The most heavily loaded would be the sliding surface on which the tip of the wing slides along. Here it would come to an intolerable material removal.
  • a vane pump is known in which the pump housing is composed of a front plate and a cup-shaped housing, wherein the cup-shaped housing is produced by a deep-drawing process.
  • the JP 59-180087 as well as the DE 197 10 976 A1 disclose a vane pump whose stator is formed by a steel band.
  • the invention is therefore based on the object to provide a rotor pump, which can also be exposed to elevated temperatures and yet easy and inexpensive to produce.
  • the rotor which has the running surface on which the wing tip slides, consists of a metal strip which has the required properties, for example the suitable temperature resistance and / or the required abrasion resistance. So it does not have the entire pump housing made of this material, but only the metal strip. This has the significant advantage that the price of this material plays only a minor role, since the actual housing of the rotor pump from the conventional material, for example aluminum or an aluminum alloy, can continue to be produced in a simple manner. Thus, the housing or at least a part of the housing continues to be produced as a die-cast part. If the temperatures are still in an acceptable range for plastic, then the housing may well be an injection molded part.
  • the metal strip has a sealing portion to the rotor, whereby the suction chamber is separated from the pressure chamber and sealed.
  • the free ends can rest directly or via sealing pieces on the rotor.
  • the metal strip is a steel strip.
  • This steel strip can be formed to have the required curvature, and the portion to be inserted into the pump housing can be cut from a continuous steel strip.
  • the metal strip has the desired curvature, whereby it is at least partially bent part-circular.
  • Such a curvature can be made relatively easily, and meets the requirements of a simple rotor pump.
  • One way to protect against overheating is that between the metal strip and the metal strip surrounding the housing section cooling channels are provided, in which circulates coolant. As a result, at least the running surface of the rotor pump is cooled.
  • a total of a rotor pump in which the housing 12 is constructed of a housing plate 14 and a patch cup-shaped housing cover 16.
  • the housing 12 has a suction port 18, which opens into an interior, which is a working space.
  • a rotor designated as a whole by 24 in which a vane 26 orthogonal to the axis of rotation 28 (FIG. FIG. 2 ) is slidably mounted.
  • the rotor 24 has a transverse groove in which the wing 26 is guided.
  • FIG. 2 does not touch the wing 26 an inner peripheral surface 32 of the housing cover 16 by the working space with its opposing wing tips 34 divided into a suction chamber 36 and a pressure chamber 38.
  • an outlet 40 is shown in which the pumped fluid is ejected.
  • the pot-shaped housing plate 14 has a raised in the direction of the axis of rotation 28 and in the direction of the housing cover 16 edge 48, on the inside of a metal strip 44 is present.
  • the housing cover 16 is disc-shaped.
  • the metal strip 44 is thus inserted into the housing plate 14, in particular cast.
  • the metal band 44 is formed as an open ring and the free ends 50 abut against the peripheral surface of the rotor 24. Therefore, the free ends 50 are made in the form of sealing elements or wear (sealing strips, not shown), so that they seal the suction port 18 from the outlet 40.
  • the free ends 50 may be provided with other sealing elements.
  • the housing 12 still from the conventional Material, for example, an aluminum alloy can be produced, but the stator is designed as a metal strip 44, for example as a steel strip, and is located in the housing 12 and the inner peripheral surface 32, on which the wing tips 34 slide along forms. The housing 12 is therefore not worn by the wing tips 34.
  • FIG. 1 is still hinted a cooling channel 52 shown, which lies in the edge 48 and the radially outwardly facing side of the metal strip 44 cools.
  • Such a trained rotor pump 10 is resistant to shearing even at high ambient temperatures, since the inner peripheral surface 32 is formed by a metal strip 44 which consists of a temperature-resistant material.
