Definitions
- the invention relates to a lint filter device for an air flow in a tumble dryer with an endless circulation element, which is arranged circumferentially around at least two deflecting elements and is positioned so that it is crossed by the air flow, wherein the circulation element has an upper edge and a lower edge. Furthermore, the invention also relates to a method for cleaning such a lint filter device.
- Dryers which have lint filter devices are known in many ways. However, the cleaning of this lint filter device is usually very expensive and yet inadequate.
- a tumble dryer with a lint filter known.
- the lint filter is arranged as a fixed immovable element in an air flow of the clothes dryer.
- a scraper is provided which has a toothed drive rod on its side facing away from the exhaust duct.
- Engaging with the toothing of the drive rod is a drive pinion which is rotatable by a gear drive in rotation when a fixedly connected to the loading door gear segment is moved when opening the loading door.
- the scraper moves over the surface of the lint filter facing the exhaust air and strips lint from it.
- the cleaning takes place here by an automatic actuation of the Scraper when opening the loading door of the tumble dryer. Again, the removal of the lint from the fixed lint filter can be performed only very inadequate.
- the lint filter device comprises an endlessly circulating around two deflection elements circulating element, which is arranged in an air flow. To remove the adhering to the circulating lint, the circulating element is moved in the direction of rotation and passed a fixed scraper. If the cleaning process of the air flow facing the front portion of the circulating element is completed, the rotational movement of the deflecting elements is reversed, so that the front region of the circulating element (the air flow-facing region of the circulating element) returns to its original position. Even with this lint filter device, the cleaning process can only be carried out very inadequately and moreover also only with great difficulty.
- the circulation element is positioned so that it is crossed by the air flow.
- the circulation element has an upper and a lower edge.
- first engaging elements are arranged at least at one of the two edges, which are in mechanical operative connection with at least one second engagement element when opening a loading door of the dryer or are mechanically coupled with this, by the further opening process the feed door, the circulating element automatically in a direction of rotation and at least on a device for removing lint from the circulating element is passable.
- the second engagement element is arranged in the interior of the tumble dryer, in particular on the side facing the interior of the tumble dryer side of the loading door.
- the decoupled at a closed loading door first and second engagement elements are thus mechanically coupled according to the invention when opening this Beschickungste and achieved by the further opening of the loading door removal of the lint from the circulation element, as automatically with this further opening operation of the loading door, the circulation element set in motion is and thus at the at least one device for removing the fluff passes by.
- an always optimal cleaning process of the lint filter device can be achieved in a low-effort and also in a reliable manner.
- automatic movement of the circulating element is always an efficient removal of lint.
- this can also be achieved by not only a cleaning of the air flow side facing the circulation element can be achieved by the further movement of the circulating element, but that another area of the circulating element faces the air flow for a next drying process.
- a continuous change of the portions of the circulating element can be performed, which are facing the air flow in subsequent drying operations. As a result, excessive wear of the circulation element can be prevented.
- the first engagement elements are designed as latching lugs.
- the second engagement element may advantageously be designed rod-shaped and be hook-shaped on its end facing the first engagement element.
- first engagement elements are formed both on the upper edge and on the lower edge of the circulation element
- two second engagement elements are preferably positioned in the interior of the tumble dryer such that one of the second Engagement elements are formed for engagement with the first engagement elements at the upper edge and one of the second engagement elements for engagement with the first engagement element at the lower edge of the circulation element.
- a redundant system can be created by this dual training, which ensures safe and reliable continued movement of the circulating element when opening the loading door, if unexpectedly at the upper edge or at the bottom of a mechanical coupling between the local first engagement element and the associated second engagement element is unsuccessful.
- the mechanical operative connection between the first and second engagement elements is designed such that during the opening process of the loading door of the tumble dryer, the circulating element is substantially further movable by half the total length of the circulating element. It can thus be achieved that, after every second opening of the loading door, the same subregion of the circulating element is again arranged facing the air flow.
- the device for removing lint is designed as a scraper or as a brush. It can also be provided that at least two scrapers and / or brushes or at least one scraper and at least one brush are arranged.
- the device for removing lint is arranged substantially parallel to the deflecting elements and designed to be relatively movable relative to the circulating element.
- the device for removing lint is preferably formed so large that its length corresponds to the height of the circulating element. This can ensure that when moving the circulation element, the entire height between the upper and the lower edge of the circulation element is detected by the device for removing lint and the lint can be reliably removed in the entire area. Due to the relative mobility of the device for removing lint against the circulation element, a further improvement of the cleaning process can be achieved.
- the device for removing fluff is movable counter to the direction of rotation of the circulating element that can be effected during the opening process of the loading door.
- the device for removing lint is preferably coupled with the second engagement element during the opening process of the loading door such that the movement of the device for removing the lint is automatically effected by the opening operation of the loading door.
- the device for removing fluff after a cleaning operation of the circulating element via a cleaning device for cleaning the device for removing lint is movable.
- the device for removing lint can thus be provided clean ready for each subsequent cleaning operation of the circulation element, whereby the cleaning process of the circulation element is positively influenced.
- the cleaning device is advantageously designed as a comb-like element.
- a lint collecting area is advantageously formed, in which the lint removed by the cleaning device from the device for removing lint can be collected.
- This lint collecting area may preferably have an opening flap for removing the lint from the lint collecting area. It can also be provided that the Flusenauffang Scheme can be solved by the lint filter and can be removed from the tumble dryer.
- the opening flap can advantageously be actuated via an actuating element, wherein the actuating element can be arranged in the upper region of the lining of the loading door.
- the lint filter device has a unit for detecting the degree of filling of the lint collection area, which is designed for automatic display, in particular by an optical and / or acoustic signal, of a required emptying of the lint collection area. As a result, it can be reliably detected when the emptying of the lint collecting area should take place. Overfilling and thus clogging of the lint collection area can be prevented.
- a plastic element can be arranged between a front circulation area and a rear circulation area of the circulating element.
- the circulating element can be designed as a mesh screen.
- the screen fabric and the plastic element may have different grain sizes with regard to the passage of lint.
- the deflecting elements are arranged in an inner lining of the loading door.
- the lint filter means comprises at least two deflecting elements around which an endless circulation element is arranged circumferentially, a mechanical operative connection between first engagement elements, which are arranged at least at an upper or at a lower edge of the circulation element, and a second, in the interior when opening the loading door the tumble dryer arranged engagement element generated.
- the circulation element is automatically moved further in a circulation direction due to the existing operative connection between at least one first and the second engagement element and past a device for removing lint such that the lint is removed from the circulation element.
- the device for removing lint is automatically moved during the opening operation of the loading door in the opposite direction to the circulation direction of the circulation element. By moving both the circulation element and the device for removing lint, the cleaning of the circulation element can be further improved.
- Advantageous embodiments of the lint filter device can also be regarded as advantageous embodiments of the method according to the invention.
- FIG Fig. 1 shows a lint filter device 1, which is arranged in a clothes dryer, not shown.
- the lint filter device 1 is arranged in an air flow S such that the air flow S crosses the lint filter device 1.
- the lint filter device 1 is oriented substantially perpendicular to the air flow S.
- the air flow S of the tumble dryer is usually performed on the laundry to be dried and located in the dryer laundry, while the air flow S the laundry dehumidifies and entrain fluff F, which can settle elsewhere in the dryer and therefore must be removed.
- the lint 5 accompanying airflow S occurs in the embodiment according to Fig. 1 from the right in the lint filter device 1 and is guided horizontally and straight in an air channel K.
- the lint filter device 1 has an endless circulation element 2, which in the embodiment is designed as an endless belt.
- This circulating element 2 is held and tensioned in the embodiment of two deflecting elements 3 and 4, wherein the circulating element 2 is arranged so crossing to the air flow S, that the just strained areas (in Fig. 1 vertically oriented areas of the circulating element 2) are held substantially perpendicular to the air flow S.
- the deflection elements 3 and 4 are rotatably mounted, wherein at least one of these two deflection elements 3 and 4 can be driven in the clockwise or counterclockwise direction.
- the circulating element 2 has a lower edge (not shown) and an upper edge 21. Both at the lower edge and at the upper edge 21, first engagement elements 211 are mounted in the embodiment. As can be seen thereby are in the embodiment in Fig. 1 a plurality of these first engagement elements 211 spaced from each other around the entire upper edge 21 arranged.
- the first engagement elements 211 which are schematically indicated as black rectangles, are designed as latching lugs. In a corresponding manner, such locking lugs are also formed at the lower edge of the circulating element 2.
- a device 5 for removing fluff F from the top of the circulating element 2 is arranged in a schematic manner.
- This device 5 for removing lint F is arranged movably in the exemplary embodiment and in particular is designed to be relatively movable relative to the circulation element 2.
- a lint collection area 6 is formed.
- the device 5 for removing fluff F can be arranged movably via a cleaning device, not shown, for cleaning the device 5 and moved over this cleaning device, such that the lint F accumulated in the device 5 are removed and through the cleaning device, which may be formed as a comb-like element, are collectable in the lint collection area 6.
- Both the lint filter device 1, as well as the device 5, and the lint collection area 6 are arranged in the embodiment on an inside of a loading door (not shown) of the clothes dryer.
- the deflection elements 3 and 4 are arranged in the embodiment substantially parallel to each other and cylindrical.
- the longitudinal axes of the deflecting elements 3 and 4 are arranged perpendicular to the plane of the figure.
- the circulating element 2 is at least partially formed from a filter fabric or a mesh fabric, which may be a wide-meshed network of thin, smooth threads.
- the first engagement elements 211 are shown in the illustration shown Fig. 1 mechanically decoupled or without mechanical operative connection to second engagement elements (not shown), which are arranged in the interior of the tumble dryer in the embodiment.
- the circulation element 2 also has first engagement elements 221 at its lower edge 22.
- first engagement elements 221 at its lower edge 22.
- second engagement elements 7 and 8 in a schematic manner. As can be seen, these second engagement elements 7 and 8 are rod-shaped and have hook-shaped ends 71 and 81 at their end areas facing the first engagement elements 211 and 221, respectively. Through these hook-shaped ends 71 and 81, a mechanical coupling between the second engagement elements 7 and 8 and the first engagement elements 211 and 221 can be generated.
- the loading door of the tumble dryer is also closed.
- the first engagement elements 211 and 221 are without operative connection and thus without mechanical coupling to the second engagement elements 7 and 8. If now the loading door is opened, then automatically engaging and thus a mechanical operative connection between the hook-shaped end 71 and a the first engagement elements 211 generated at the upper edge 21 of the circulating element 2.
- a mechanical coupling between the hook-shaped end 81 of the second engagement element 8 with a first engagement element 221 at the lower edge 22 of the circulation element 2 is generated. This engagement or mechanical operative connection is made immediately upon opening the loading door.
- the lint filter device 1 is designed such that the circulation element 2 is moved in the direction of the arrow PF1 in the exemplary embodiment. This is done by moving the second engaging elements 7 and 8 and in particular the hook-shaped ends 71 and 81 in this direction by the opening operation of the loading door. Consequently, due to the mechanical coupling between the second engagement elements 7 and 8 with the first engagement elements 211 and 221, the circulation element 2 is also automatically moved in the direction of the arrow PF1 by the opening operation of the loading door.
- the circulation element 2 in an opening operation of the loading door, which extends from a minimum opening to a maximum possible opening of the loading door, the circulation element 2 is moved substantially by half of its total length. This means that during such an opening operation, the portion of the circulating element 2 initially facing the air flow S is moved almost completely to the rear and is thus positioned on the side facing away from the air flow S when the loading door is completely open.
- the device 5 for removing the lint F is arranged adjacent to the deflection element 3. As from the illustration in Fig. 2 can be seen, the device 5 extends at least over the entire height of the circulating element 2.
- the height of the circulating element 2 is defined by the dimensions of the circulating element 2 between the upper edge 21 and the lower edge 22.
- this device 5 is designed to be relatively movable relative to the circulation element 2.
- the device 5 is also in operative connection with the opening process of the loading door such that during opening of the loading door from a minimum open position to a maximum open position, movement takes place in the direction of the arrow PF2.
- this mechanical coupling is such that during this opening operation of the loading door, the device 5 is completely removed from the in Fig. 2 shown state is moved to a corresponding position adjacent to the deflecting element 4. The device 5 is thus moved over the entire path between the deflecting element 3 and the deflecting element 4 in the direction of the arrow PF2. In the embodiment, an opposite movement between the circulating element 2 and the device 5 is thus automatically effected during the opening process of the loading door. By the device 5, at least during the movement of the circulating element 2, touching this circulating element 2, the lint F accumulated on the upper side of the circulating element 2 is removed.
- the possibility of movement of the device 5 in the direction of arrow PF2 and also in the opposite direction according to the arrow PF1 is such that it can be moved beyond the arrangement of the deflection elements 3 and 4 respectively.
- a cleaning device On the side facing away from the deflecting element 3 of the deflecting element 4, a cleaning device, not shown, is arranged, which is a comb-like element in the embodiment.
- another such comb-like element is also positioned on the side facing away from the deflecting element 4 of the deflecting element 3.
- This lint collecting area 6 has an opening, which in the exemplary embodiment on the underside or the bottom side 61 (FIG. Fig. 1 ) of the lint collection area 6 is formed.
- This opening which may be formed as a flap, in the embodiment by an unillustrated actuating element, which may be arranged in the upper region of the lining of the loading door, actuated.
- the actuator may be, for example, a push button.
- the tumble dryer has a unit, for example a sensor, with which the degree of filling of the lint collection area 6 is monitored and a possible overfill condition can be indicated optically and / or acoustically early. It is signaled that the lint collection area 6 is about to empty soon. It can be provided that this is approximately at ten Drying operations is given and such a warning is generated after about ten drying operations.
- this number is merely exemplary and may, for example, deviate significantly from this, depending on the size of the lint collection area 6.
- a plastic wall is attached between the front side (side, which faces the air flow S) and the back (side, which faces away from the air flow S) of the circulating element 2. This allows the lint-free air to be directed back into the interior of the tumble dryer.
- Both the number, the configuration and the shape of the first engagement elements 211 and 221 and the second engagement elements 7 and 8 is in the Fig. 1 and 2 merely by way of example for the understanding of the invention and can be realized in many ways. All of these embodiments are also encompassed by the invention. It is essential that an automatic movement of the circulation element 2 and advantageously also of the device 5 for removing the lint F can be generated by the opening process of a loading door.

It is therefore an object of the present invention to provide a lint filter device and a method for cleaning such a lint filter device, which or which allows an improved and low-cost removal of the lint.
This object is achieved by a lint filter device having the features according to
A lint filter device according to the invention for an air flow in a tumble dryer has at least two deflection elements around which an endless circulation element is arranged. The circulation element is positioned so that it is crossed by the air flow. In addition, the circulation element has an upper and a lower edge. An essential idea of the invention is that first engaging elements are arranged at least at one of the two edges, which are in mechanical operative connection with at least one second engagement element when opening a loading door of the dryer or are mechanically coupled with this, by the further opening process the feed door, the circulating element automatically in a direction of rotation and at least on a device for removing lint from the circulating element is passable. The second engagement element is arranged in the interior of the tumble dryer, in particular on the side facing the interior of the tumble dryer side of the loading door. The decoupled at a closed loading door first and second engagement elements are thus mechanically coupled according to the invention when opening this Beschickungstüre and achieved by the further opening of the loading door removal of the lint from the circulation element, as automatically with this further opening operation of the loading door, the circulation element set in motion is and thus at the at least one device for removing the fluff passes by.
By means of the lint filter device according to the invention, an always optimal cleaning process of the lint filter device can be achieved in a low-effort and also in a reliable manner. By coupling the opening operation with a then automatic movement of the circulating element is always an efficient removal of lint. In particular, this can also be achieved by not only a cleaning of the air flow side facing the circulation element can be achieved by the further movement of the circulating element, but that another area of the circulating element faces the air flow for a next drying process. In this regard, therefore, a continuous change of the portions of the circulating element can be performed, which are facing the air flow in subsequent drying operations. As a result, excessive wear of the circulation element can be prevented.
In a preferred manner, the first engagement elements are designed as latching lugs. The second engagement element may advantageously be designed rod-shaped and be hook-shaped on its end facing the first engagement element. As a result, two engagement elements which are very easy to produce and reliably coupleable can be created, which can ensure the coupling and decoupling or the generation of the mechanical operative connection when opening the loading door with little effort and safety. The engagement of the hook-shaped end in a latching nose is an uncomplicated coupling mechanism.
In an advantageous manner, first engagement elements are formed both on the upper edge and on the lower edge of the circulation element, and two second engagement elements are preferably positioned in the interior of the tumble dryer such that one of the second Engagement elements are formed for engagement with the first engagement elements at the upper edge and one of the second engagement elements for engagement with the first engagement element at the lower edge of the circulation element. As a result, it can be achieved that a movement of the circulatory element that is uniform over the entire height of the circulating element is always effected, and thus jamming of the circulatory element can be prevented. In addition, a wear can be reduced, which can occur in an engagement only at the top or only at the bottom.
In addition, a redundant system can be created by this dual training, which ensures safe and reliable continued movement of the circulating element when opening the loading door, if unexpectedly at the upper edge or at the bottom of a mechanical coupling between the local first engagement element and the associated second engagement element is unsuccessful.
Advantageously, the mechanical operative connection between the first and second engagement elements is designed such that during the opening process of the loading door of the tumble dryer, the circulating element is substantially further movable by half the total length of the circulating element. It can thus be achieved that, after every second opening of the loading door, the same subregion of the circulating element is again arranged facing the air flow.
Advantageously, the device for removing lint is designed as a scraper or as a brush. It can also be provided that at least two scrapers and / or brushes or at least one scraper and at least one brush are arranged. Preferably, the device for removing lint is arranged substantially parallel to the deflecting elements and designed to be relatively movable relative to the circulating element. The device for removing lint is preferably formed so large that its length corresponds to the height of the circulating element.
By a targeted movement of the device for removing fluff relative to the circulating element, an individual cleaning of the subregion of the circulating element can thus be carried out in a unerring and reliable manner at particularly critical points.
In a preferred manner, the device for removing fluff is movable counter to the direction of rotation of the circulating element that can be effected during the opening process of the loading door. By this opposite movement of the circulating element and the device for removing lint, a particularly effective and efficient implementation of the cleaning process of the circulating element can be achieved.
The device for removing lint is preferably coupled with the second engagement element during the opening process of the loading door such that the movement of the device for removing the lint is automatically effected by the opening operation of the loading door. As a result, both the actuation of the circulation element and the actuation of the device for removal, in particular in opposite directions of movement, can be achieved automatically by the opening process to be carried out anyway.
Advantageously, it can be provided that the device for removing fluff after a cleaning operation of the circulating element via a cleaning device for cleaning the device for removing lint is movable. Thereby, the removal of the lint from the device for removing the lint can always be achieved safely. The device for removing lint can thus be provided clean ready for each subsequent cleaning operation of the circulation element, whereby the cleaning process of the circulation element is positively influenced.
The cleaning device is advantageously designed as a comb-like element. On the inside of the loading door, a lint collecting area is advantageously formed, in which the lint removed by the cleaning device from the device for removing lint can be collected. This lint collecting area may preferably have an opening flap for removing the lint from the lint collecting area. It can also be provided that the Flusenauffangbereich can be solved by the lint filter and can be removed from the tumble dryer.
The opening flap can advantageously be actuated via an actuating element, wherein the actuating element can be arranged in the upper region of the lining of the loading door. In an advantageous embodiment, the lint filter device has a unit for detecting the degree of filling of the lint collection area, which is designed for automatic display, in particular by an optical and / or acoustic signal, of a required emptying of the lint collection area. As a result, it can be reliably detected when the emptying of the lint collecting area should take place. Overfilling and thus clogging of the lint collection area can be prevented.
Between a front circulation area and a rear circulation area of the circulating element, a plastic element can be arranged. The circulating element can be designed as a mesh screen. The screen fabric and the plastic element may have different grain sizes with regard to the passage of lint.
Advantageously, the deflecting elements are arranged in an inner lining of the loading door.
In the method according to the invention for cleaning a lint filter device for an air flow in a tumble dryer, which has a feed door; wherein the lint filter means comprises at least two deflecting elements around which an endless circulation element is arranged circumferentially, a mechanical operative connection between first engagement elements, which are arranged at least at an upper or at a lower edge of the circulation element, and a second, in the interior when opening the loading door the tumble dryer arranged engagement element generated. As a result of the further opening process of the loading door, the circulation element is automatically moved further in a circulation direction due to the existing operative connection between at least one first and the second engagement element and past a device for removing lint such that the lint is removed from the circulation element. By the method according to the invention is the coupling of the movement of the circulating element depending on the opening process of the Loading door achieved a low-effort and reliable removal of the lint from the circulation element.
The device for removing lint is automatically moved during the opening operation of the loading door in the opposite direction to the circulation direction of the circulation element. By moving both the circulation element and the device for removing lint, the cleaning of the circulation element can be further improved.

If the tumble dryer is in the closed state, the loading door of the tumble dryer is also closed.

In the exemplary embodiment, the tumble dryer has a unit, for example a sensor, with which the degree of filling of the lint collection area 6 is monitored and a possible overfill condition can be indicated optically and / or acoustically early. It is signaled that the lint collection area 6 is about to empty soon. It can be provided that this is approximately at ten Drying operations is given and such a warning is generated after about ten drying operations. Of course, this number is merely exemplary and may, for example, deviate significantly from this, depending on the size of the lint collection area 6.
Furthermore, it can be provided that between the front side (side, which faces the air flow S) and the back (side, which faces away from the air flow S) of the circulating
