Definitions

  • the invention relates to a storage space closing system comprising two sliding doors and a high guide rail cooperating with at least two high guide pieces fixed on the top of each door.
  • the storage space is for example a cabinet or closet.
  • FIG 1 there is shown in exploded view a currently known storage space closure system which comprises a high guide rail 1 here with double guide tracks, at least one high guide piece 2, at least one sliding door 3.
  • a door jamb 4 forming a gasket which is fixed on a side edge of the door.
  • the high guide rail 1 can be fixed for example to the ceiling of a room for closing a closet. It is generally made for example by folding a sheet of steel so as to obtain three wings 5 and two bases 6. Two successive wings 5 with a base 6 disposed between the two wings 5 form a U in cross section and define a guideway for a sliding door 3.
  • the high guide rail 1 is of the double guideway type. The rail 1 is arranged to guide two sliding doors retracting one behind the other to update the storage space.
  • the present high guide rails are generally 80 millimeters wide and 40 millimeters high, which is sufficient to mechanically maintain a sliding door in the rail.
  • the high guide piece 2 is composed of a roller or shoe 7 and a fixing lug 8.
  • the roller 7 has two opposite sides 9 with a convex surface.
  • the fastening tab 8 extends perpendicularly to said roller 7.
  • the fixing lug 8 is provided with a longitudinal fixing groove 10.
  • the door 3 for example made of wood, is in the shape of a rectangular parallelepiped.
  • the door 3 may be in the form of a glass panel or a mirror panel.
  • the door jamb 4 has an elongated shape whose length is equal to the height of the door 3 so as to cover the lateral edge of the door over its entire length which gives the whole a pleasant aesthetic appearance.
  • the amount 4 has the general shape of a U in cross section.
  • the branch 11 of the U disposed towards the outside of the cabinet forms a hollow for the gripping by a user wishing to move the door 3.
  • the branch 12 of the U disposed towards the inside of the cabinet forms a kind of hump (curved part).
  • the ends of the U are bent (folded) towards the inside of the U for aesthetic reasons on the one hand and for reasons of attachment on the other hand.
  • the door jamb 4 is for example made of steel.
  • two top guide pieces 2 are arranged on the upper part of the door 3 at the two lateral ends of the door.
  • two door posts 4 cover the right and left side edges of the door 3 so that the end of the branch 12 of the U forming a bump engages in the groove 10 of the upper guide piece 2.
  • the upper guide piece 2 is oriented vertically so that the fastening tab 8 is disposed under the roller 9 and horizontally so that the fastening tab 8 is arranged between the door 3 and the amount 4.
  • the door 3 provided with the upper guide piece 2 and housed in one of the two guideways of the rail 1 slides in the rail 1 by sliding the convex surfaces 9 on the two wings 5 of the guideway.
  • the convex surfaces 9 thus function as sliding pads.
  • the two surfaces 9 are convex to reduce the contact surface between the high guide piece 2 and the high guide rail 1.
  • the high guide piece is thus arranged so that the door is constantly held between two U flanges of the guide high rail when moving. It should be noted that a clearance between the roller 7 and the base 6 of the rail 1 facilitates sliding.
  • the sliding door In its lower part, the sliding door is for example guided by means of guide rollers intended to be housed in a low guide rail fixed to the ground (not shown).
  • a height adjustment at the lower part of the guide rollers makes it possible to place the sliding door 3 provided with the guide piece 2 high in the high guide rail 1 during the installation of the door 3.
  • Such a sliding door space closure arrangement has a large footprint, especially in the direction of the thickness of the door.
  • the central wing of the rail has a double thickness of steel sheet relative to the outer wings, which tends to cause a mechanical imbalance and the deformation of the outer wings under the pressure exerted by the moving door.
  • This deformation causes a Lateral swinging of the door in movement, thus the increase of the noise nuisances and causes a decrease of the sliding qualities of the whole.
  • the deformation of the outer wing of the cabinet that serves as a headband is all the more troublesome that it also serves, for aesthetic reasons, to hide the guide assembly.
  • Document is also known DE29907856 a closure system for storage space comprising a double sliding door and a high guide rail.
  • the high guide rail cooperates with a high pin-shaped guide piece fixed to the top of the door.
  • Such a system is expensive to manufacture and complex to install.
  • the contact between the pin guide piece and the guide rail causes friction that is harmful to sliding.
  • the object of the present invention is therefore to overcome the above disadvantages by providing a storage system closing system with double sliding doors. Furthermore, the invention also aims to reduce the size of such a space closure system.
  • the invention relates to a storage system closing system with double sliding doors comprising a high guiding rail provided with a first longitudinal wing forming a headband external to the storage space, a second and a third longitudinal wing parallel to each other and to the first longitudinal wing, said second wing being interposed between the first and the third wing to define with the first wing a first guide path for a first sliding door and to define with the third wing a second guideway for a second sliding door, said first sliding door being provided with at least one first high guide piece fixed on the top of said first door and sliding in said first guideway and said second sliding door being provided with at least one second guide piece fixed high on the top of said second door and sliding in said second guideway, characterized in that each upper guide piece comprises a guide groove for a wing of the rail, said first and second guide pieces being arranged in the rail of such so that the second flange of the rail engages in the guide groove of the first guide piece and the third flange of the rail engages in the guide groove of the

  • the branch 11 of the U (when the upright 4 is mounted on the door) which is disposed towards the outside of the storage space of the cabinet forms a kind of hollow which serves as a handle for the gripping of the door by a user.
  • the branch 12 of the U disposed inwardly of the cabinet storage space forms a kind of hump (curved portion) which opposes the hollow of the upright which reinforces the aesthetics of the whole.
  • the ends of the branches of the U are curved towards the inside of the U also for aesthetic reasons on the one hand and reasons for mechanical attachment on the other hand.
  • the door jamb 4 is for example made of steel.
  • the upper guide piece 22 has a first groove 30 for fixing the workpiece 22 on the door 3, a second groove 31 for guiding the door 3 in the high guiding rail, and a fixing lug 32 for the workpiece 22 with the door 3 and the amount 4.
  • the fixing groove 30 has the general shape of a U in cross section.
  • the guide groove 31 also has the general shape of a U in cross section.
  • the upper guide piece 22 is arranged in such a way that the U-shape of the fixing groove 30 is inverted with respect to the U-shape of the guiding groove 31.
  • the U of the fixing groove 30 and the U of the guide groove 31 are substantially horizontally aligned and share a respective common branch from which the fastening tab.
  • the fixing groove assembly 30 and guiding groove 31 can be seen in cross section as having the general shape of an S (which has been rotated 90 ° counterclockwise) according to the meaning of figure 3 .
  • the two parallel flanks or two branches of the U of the fixing groove 30 are spaced from each other by a distance adapted to clamp the two opposite sides of the door 3 while the two parallel flanks or two branches of the U of the guide groove 31 are spaced from each other by a distance adapted for easy sliding along a flange 25 or 27 of the rail when the flange is engaged in the groove 31.
  • the fixing lug 32 extends longitudinally in the extension of the U-branch of the fixing groove 30 which is common with the U-shape of the guide groove 31 and downwards when the component 22 is mounted on the door .
  • the fixing lug 32 has on one side of its face opposite its face in contact with the door, a locking rib 33 which extends in a longitudinal direction downwards.
  • This blocking rib 33 in the form of lateral shoulder serves to block the piece 22 between the upright 4 and the door 3. In order to save material, it is not necessary for the locking rib 33 to extend along the entire length of the fixing lug 32.
  • the fixing groove 30 is formed in a door angle cap structure which has a cap bottom 34 and an upper face respectively connecting the two sides or two sides of the U of the fixing groove 30. If the door shall be equipped with two top guide pieces 22 in the form of angle cap mounted on the two upper corners of the door, it is understood that these two parts 22 must be symmetrical with respect to the vertical center line of the door.
  • the guide piece 22 according to the invention is made of synthetic or metallic material.

  • the length of the fixing lug 32 is approximately equal to 20 millimeters.
  • two high guide parts 22 are arranged on the upper part of the door 3 for example at the two upper corners of the door 3.
  • the groove for fastening a piece 22 in the form of a corner cap engages an upper door corner 3 so that the base of the inverted U of the fixing groove 30 bears against the upper edge of the door 3 the branches of the inverted U bear against the main faces of each side of the door 3 so as to pinch the door and the bottom 34 abuts against the corresponding lateral edge of the door 3.
  • the guide piece is thus placed abutting against an upper corner of the door with the guide groove 31 which opens towards the top of the door and with the bracket 32 which runs along one of the main faces of the door 3.

  • the central wing 25 of the double-track rail 21 is shown which forms a longitudinal projection which engages in the guide groove 31 of the high guide piece 22.
  • the branches of the U of the guide groove 31 thus constitute sliding pads.
  • sliding guidance of the door 3 is obtained only on a wing 25 or 27 of the high guide rail 21. Therefore, with this arrangement of the guide piece 22, the sliding properties are improved and noise pollution is reduced. Furthermore, it removes the phenomenon of deformation of the outer flanges of the rail which was the unbalance of pressure exerted between two wings of the rail constituting a conventional guide channel. Moreover, according to the invention, the wing 28 no longer has the function of a mechanical support and serves only as a facade strip. The aesthetic appearance of the facade strip 28 is thus preserved. In addition according to the invention, the facade strip no longer contributing to the guiding function can be provided removably, the attachment of the removable headband 28 to the rail 21 can be made in conventional manner snap or the like.
  • a second door equipped with top guide pieces 22 and uprights 4 can be installed in the second guideway of the rail 21 behind the door 3 illustrated on FIG. figure 4 .
  • it is the wing 27 of the rail 21 which engages in the guide groove of these guide pieces 22 mounted on the second door.
  • the wings 25 and 27 on which slide the high guide pieces have a double thickness of steel sheet (a fold of the sheet) which gives them a reinforced mechanical strength. They can therefore be designed with a reduced height without loss of mechanical properties.
  • each sliding door 3 is also less subject to transverse displacement with respect to the sliding direction because its transverse direction is limited by the width of the guide groove 31 of the high guide pieces 22. It can provide a clearance of about 15% to prevent jamming.
  • the drop shape of the end (of the fold) of the wings 25 and 27 on the figure 4 allows to limit the friction and to further improve the sliding qualities.
  • This arrangement constitutes rearward guiding since the door remains in a guideway but is guided by a groove disposed behind it relative to the front of the cabinet storage space.
  • a door upright 4 which is no longer inserted in a guideway so that it is possible to reduce the width of the guideways with respect to the state of the art illustrated in FIG. the figure 1 .
  • the height of the facade strip 28 which serves as a cover can also be reduced. Indeed, it is understood that for a given user size, the higher the guide rail is wide plus the height of the facade strip 28 serving as cache must be important to hide the inside of the rail. This finding may be otherwise understood by a shadow reasoning in which the light, corresponding to the vision of the user, does not illuminate the interior of the high guide rail even if the height of the facade strip is reduced since the width of the high guide rail is itself reduced. In the same way, it is understood that the height of the wings 25 and 27 being reduced, the height of the facade strip 28 can be reduced. Therefore, the material needed to manufacture the high guide rail 21 is further reduced, as well as the overall manufacturing cost and transportation costs.
  • the high guide piece is composed solely of a guide groove and a fastening tab as described above.
  • a guide piece may have a cross section substantially Y-shaped, the two upper branches of the Y-shaped defining the guide groove and the lower branch of the Y-shaped defining the bracket.
  • the high guide piece is for example fixed by gluing to the door. It is understood that one would not depart from the scope of the invention by attaching such a high guide piece by any other means, such as screws or the like.
  • the guide groove 31 of the high guide piece may be defined by at least two rotatably mounted cylinders whose axes are parallel to the branches of the U of the groove.
  • this embodiment makes it possible to improve the sliding of the door in the rail by reducing the friction of the rail in the guide groove of the guide piece.
