Abstract

The shelf (1) for a refrigeration device comprises a closed main section (2) and a grid-like edge section (3).

Description

The present invention relates to a storage tray for mounting in the interior of a refrigerator. Such storage shelves are often realized in modern refrigerators in the form of a geften in a plastic frame glass plate. The plastic frame protects the edges of the glass plate from damage and is provided with protruding ridges, pins or the like, which serve to suspend the storage tray on the side walls of a refrigeration device inner container.

In order to allow effective use of space, such a storage shelf should extend over as large a part of the bottom surface of the inner container. However, there is the problem that in refrigerators in Coldwall construction. Refrigerated goods, which are placed on such a storage tray in contact with the evaporator wall, tends to freeze on the wall, since these can easily reach temperatures below 0 ° C in operation, even if the target temperature inside the refrigerator is positive. In order to prevent contact between refrigerated goods and evaporator wall, a storage tray for such a device is often provided in its rear region with an upright stop web, which prevents too close a neighborhood of refrigerated goods and evaporator wall.

In no-frost refrigerators, there are usually no surfaces in the interior that reach temperatures below 0 ° C, so there is no risk of freezing on the wall. Nevertheless, the refrigerated goods must be kept spaced from the rear wall to keep a gap between the rear wall and the rear edge of the storage tray, can circulate through the cold air, so as to ensure a uniform cooling of the interior space over its entire height. This also means that a part of the depth of the interior is not well usable. In addition, there is a problem that an airflow forming opposite edges of shelf boards spaced between the rear wall of the inner space and this rear wall tends to flow straight across the entire height of the inner space, so that the air circulation in mid-height shelves is low is.

Out US 4,960,308 a storage plate for a refrigeration device is known, the storage space is bordered by a plastic frame having openings for air circulation in the region of the rear wall and the side walls of the refrigerator.

Object of the present invention is to provide a storage tray for a refrigerator, which allows efficient use of space.

The object is solved by the features of claim 1. In a storage tray with a closed main section, an edge portion of the plate is designed as a grate. If necessary, the grate can serve to deposit refrigerated goods. At the same time allow those parts of the grate, which are not considered with refrigerated goods, an exchange of air between different sides of the plate. The risk of a complete blockage of the grate by refrigerated goods standing thereon is negligible in practice, since the users rarely load a storage tray so densely that its edge portion is completely covered.

In addition, a free cross-sectional area of the grate sufficient for a desired degree of air exchange can be easily provided by giving the edge portion a sufficient depth, in particular more than 3 cm.

If the main portion of the storage tray is formed in a manner known per se by a glass plate gripped in a frame, the grate can advantageously be made in one piece with the frame.

According to the invention, the grate has inclined slats. Such fins can deflect a passing through the grate air flow in the lateral direction, thus ensuring a sufficient flow of air through a bounded by the storage tray. Due to different inclinations over different areas of the grate, the cooling air is deflected as a function of the cooling air circulation in different directions below the storage tray or to its storage area, so that different areas are acted upon with cooling air. Here, the cooling air circulation can take place statically or forcibly by means of a fan.

The lamellae are preferably angular in cross-section with an oblique leg for deflecting the air flow and lying at the level of the top of the plate horizontal leg on which refrigerated goods can be deposited if necessary.

In order to keep the flow resistance low, the angle of the blade is preferably an obtuse angle.

Preferably, the fins are sloping toward the main portion to impart a lateral velocity component to a downwardly extending airflow in a compartment below the panel.

To improve the stability, the lamellae are preferably interconnected by webs.

Further features and advantages of the invention will become apparent from the following description of an embodiment with reference to the accompanying figures.

In the Fig. 1 Shelf plate shown in a perspective view is divided into a when mounting the storage tray 1 in a refrigerator front, ie near the door, lying main section 2 and a rear, adjacent to the rear wall, lying edge portion 3. The main section 2 is formed by a plate 4 made of safety glass , which is molded in one piece by a frame 5 made of plastic. In the frame 5 can be embedded for stiffening metal profiles, not shown.

The edge portion 3 is formed integrally with the frame 5 and comprises a plurality of fins 6, which are connected at their ends by profiles 7, which extend the side profiles of the frame 5 in alignment. At the rear ends of the profiles 7 each an upwardly curved slightly elastic tongue 8 is formed, which serves to lock the support plate 1 in grooves formed on the side walls of a refrigerator inner container.

Between the profiles 7 and parallel to these, the fins 6 are further connected by a plurality of webs 9. As in Fig. 2 to see, the webs 9 have an upper edge 10, each between two slats 6 from front to back, that is from right to left in Fig. 2 , is sloping, so that the webs 9 in the perspective of Fig. 1 are not visible and not hinder wiping the top of the edge portion 3.

The lamellae 6 each have an angular cross-section with a horizontal leg 11 which is flush with the top of the frame 5, so that the lamellae 6 together form a sufficient for parking of goods to be cooled flat surface. Beveled legs 12 of the fins 6 are each forward, that is to the right in Fig. 2 sloping down to deflect a downward stream of air impinging from the top of the lamellae 6 forward to create a forward flow of air beneath the support plate 1. At the same time, the angular shape gives the lamellae 6 a high load capacity with low use of material.

Fig. 3 illustrates the operation of the invention with reference to a schematic section through a no-frost refrigeration device with an evaporator 13, which is housed in a separated in the upper region of the refrigerator housing chamber 14. An unillustrated fan sucks air from the refrigerator 15 of the device through a door near inlet 16 into the chamber 14, where it sweeps along the evaporator 13 and cooled exits at an outlet opening 17 adjacent to the rear wall of the housing again. The cold air flow flows along the rear wall of the housing and strikes the edge portions 3 of a plurality of support plates 1, the fins deflect the air flow forward. Thus, in each compartment 18 below one of the carrier plates 1, part of the air flow flows in the direction of the door, and all compartments 18 are cooled uniformly. Between the leading edges of the carrier plates 1 and door cabinets 19 suspended on the door of the appliance, the air flow flows upwards, back to the inlet opening 16.

The edge portions 3 offer the cold air flow, if they are not covered with refrigerated goods, a large free cross-sectional area, which opposes the air flow only little resistance. The air flow is therefore not seriously hindered when the edge portions 3 are completed on a considerable part of their surface with refrigerated goods.
