- the geometry of the groove 45 is such that the connecting pin 36 can disengage from the driver 44. The rotation of the tumbler 26 will end when it abuts against the column 24 (see figure 5 ). During this movement, the control lever drives the cutter shaft via the transmission shaft 32.
- the operator rotates the switch tumbler 38 clockwise with the aid of a hand crank until the neutral point of the spring passes.
- the spring relaxes and causes the tumbler 42 to rotate, the hand crank then being disengaged and no longer intervening.
- the tumbler comes into contact with the driver 40 associated with it, via stop. From this moment, the driver rotates at the same time as the tumbler 42.
- the groove 46 comes into rapid contact with the connecting pin 36 of the control lever 28 which has the effect of rotating the control lever until 'to the position shown on the figure 6 at which the rotation stops because the switch tumbler 38 comes into contact with a baluster 24.
- the mechanism therefore comprises three stable positions, namely each of the positions shown on the Figures 4, 5 and 6 .
- a flange 50 is integral with the cutter shaft 46. This flange carries a hole into which the transmission pin 32 engages The control lever 28 and the cutter shaft are coaxial with the ZZ axis. The cutter shaft 46 is rotated directly by the control lever 28.
