Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a blanket for intaglio gravure printing with at least a first region having a first roughness, wherein in at least one second region a lower second roughness and / or a predefinable depression than the first roughness and / or a predeterminable depression and / or in comparison to the first region specifiable lower modulus of elasticity is provided.
Intaglio intaglio printing, also known as steel gravure gravure printing, uses high contact pressures to produce a tactile tactile image that is not achieved with other conventional printing processes. The object of the invention is to provide a blanket of the type mentioned, in which the known disadvantages are avoided and can be printed with the security documents with applied film elements, while sparing the film elements in intaglio gravure.
According to the invention, this is achieved in that the second region is arranged in the printing region and is designed as a receptacle for at least a second section of an optically variable element, in particular an effect foil or an effect color, of a security doloma, and in that the second region comprises a plurality of receptacles, which are arranged in a grid. This results in the advantage that only a small change in the surface structure of the film element occurs, wherein the gloss properties of the film element are largely retained. Through the second area, a lower partial pressure can be achieved be, whereby damage to the coming into contact with the second portion part of the security document can be largely avoided. Furthermore, even with other elements, the surface structure can essentially be obtained by means of the second region. This has proven particularly favorable in optically variable elements, wherein, in addition to an effect foil, for example, an effect color may also be provided. The optically variable element can be arranged on the side to be printed or on the side opposite thereto. In particular, both sides of the security document may also have intaglio intaglio printing.
This can ensure that the quality of the optically variable element during the printing process is substantially not affected, wherein the optically variable element can be applied before the printing step with the blanket. In this case, the printing of a part of the optically variable element may be provided.
According to another embodiment of the invention, it can be provided that a substantially continuous transition is formed between the first region and the second region, as a result of which sudden changes in the stress on the security element during the printing process, which can lead to damage of the security document, are largely avoided ,
The invention further relates to a method for printing a security document in the intaglio gravure printing method, wherein the security document at least one optically variable element, in particular an effect foil or an effect color having, and wherein a printing cylinder opposite a impression cylinder with a blanket with at least a first region with a first roughness is arranged.
Another object of the invention is to provide a method of the type mentioned above, in which the known disadvantages are avoided, can be printed with the security documents with applied film elements while protecting the film elements in intaglio gravure.
This is achieved according to the invention by contacting the optically variable element at least in regions with a second region of the printing blanket, wherein the second region has a lower second roughness and / or a predefinable depression and / or imprintable relative to the first roughness Compared to the first area has a predeterminable lower modulus of elasticity.
This results in the advantage that only a small change in the surface structure of the optically variable element occurs, wherein the properties of the optically variable element are largely retained. A lesser partial pressure can be achieved by the second region, as a result of which damage to the part of the security document which comes into contact with the second region, in particular of the optically variable element, can largely be avoided. The optically variable element can be arranged on the side to be printed or on the side opposite thereto. In particular, both sides of the security document may also have intaglio intaglio printing.
In a further embodiment of the invention it can be provided that after applying the optically variable element on the security document, the optically variable element opposite side of the security document is printed by intaglio gravure printing, whereby the optically variable element can be applied in particular already in papermaking and optionally at least partially embedded in the paper.
In a further development of the invention, it can be provided that the optically variable element is brought into contact with the first area in a predefinable first section and with the second area in a predeterminable second section. In this case, in the first section, a surface structure different from the second section of the optically variable element is generated, whereby a further security feature can be formed.

The
The

During the printing process, the optically variable element 5 is at least partially brought into contact with a
With this method, in which an unintended change of the optically variable element can be avoided, it is possible to print both sides of the
It can also be provided that the optically variable element 5 is brought into contact with the
The
