Abstract

The invention relates to a dryer, especially multi-level throughflow dryer for preferably plate-shaped products. The invention essentially aims to achieve a considerable improvement of the drying air guidance and a uniform residual moisture in all products (8) at the end of the drying process, while maintaining the per se known axial blower arrangement, per each dryer zone (1).

Description

The invention relates to a continuous dryer in Mehretagenbauweise for particular plate-shaped products, with means, especially rollers or belt-like means for transporting the products within the continuous dryer, the continuous dryer has several in the transport direction of the products arranged one behind the other and a housing having dryer zones in which drying air in the Convection method forcibly circulated, each dryer zone has at least one central heat source and a plurality of vertically arranged in a fan stand axial fan, which axial fan directly promote the drying air in inflow preferably in pairs above and below the transport of each floor arranged nozzle boxes for blowing the products and sucked with moisture drying air over the at least one heat source again.

Continuous dryers in Mehretagenbauweise with the aforementioned features have long been known; see also " The right solution for the Bauptatten-tndustne ", prospectus of Lindauer DORNIER GmbH, page 6/7 Imprint 12/01 / LD / 02/99 ,
The sucked by the fans drying air has over the height of the continuous dryer, ie on the individual floors, with respect to the temperature and the humidity of the drying air divergent states. Consequently, the products to be dried in the respective levels of the continuous dryer are blown with a drying air having different energy states. It has been found to be a disadvantage of the known continuous dryer that the flow dryer at the end of the drying process leaving products have a relatively different residual moisture.
By measures for the differentiated distribution of the power of the heat source over the height, ie over all floors of the continuous dryer and by additional, guiding the drying air used internals, a relatively uniform temperature of the drying air can be achieved in the floors and the moisture content in the regenerated drying air corrected or be evened out. However, these measures are associated with considerable cost expenditures.

Out DE 197 01 426 C2 For example, a multi-tray dryer for strip or plate-shaped goods is known, which consists of a number of juxtaposed dryer zones.

An essential distinguishing feature between the multi-ply dryers mentioned in the prior art and the multi-ply dryers disclosed in the DE document is that instead of a plurality of axial fans as suction and pressure means for the drying air, a radial fan is provided in the respective dryer zones for supplying all the dryer floors.

Unter Systemwiderständen sollen u.a.
From the dryer is generally known that the circulation of equal volumes of drying air and the same system resistances of the radial fan requires a much higher energy input than the use of multiple vertically stacked axial fan. Amongst other things, system resistors should be understood to be internals in the dryer zone which counteract the drying air flow or form a flow resistance for the drying air flow.
It is also known in this context that axial fans allow a comparatively better guidance of the drying air to and from the products to be dried, because, for example, the inflow openings of the nozzle boxes are located at a relatively small distance from the pressure range of the axial fans.

The US 3,070,902 describes the improvement of the roll transport system in a dryer by means of air cushion tables.

The US 3,374,106 describes a device for the gentle drying of an air-permeable product (nonwoven fabric) via adjustable baffles on nozzles. In this case, a sprayed binder with increased performance of the dryer is dried.

Based on the known prior art disadvantages, the present invention seeks to provide a continuous dryer, especially in Mehretagenbauweise, in which maintaining the known per se Axiallüfteranordnung per dryer zone a significant improvement ofDrozeßluft-leadership and a uniform residual moisture in the products End of the drying process is given.
A further object is to improve the service life of the dryer by allowing the drying air laden with moisture and optionally with product articles to be cleaned before re-heating.

The first object is achieved by the features of claim 1.

The second object is achieved by the features of the dependent patent claim 9.

According to the features of claim 1 is provided
  • that the enclosure of each dryer zone of the multi-day continuous dryer, equipped with a heat source, first room for the regeneration of the Product drying process recirculated drying air encloses which space is formed and arranged vertically over a second floor containing the floors of the dryer zone,
  • that laterally next to each fan stand, which carries vertically superimposed axial fan, each extending over all floors of the dryer zone, suction channel is provided which connects the first space with the suction region of the respective axial fan via a defined inflow opening for regenerated drying air and
  • that the suction channels extend vertically on both sides next to the fan stand and form means for directionally directed outflow of regenerated drying air and
  • that the side facing away from the fan stand side of the nozzle boxes ends in an extending over all floors of each dryer zone duct for moisture-laden drying air, which duct opens into the first room.

The first space is separated from the second space by a false ceiling and closed by insulating bulkheads opposite the adjacent first space of the adjacent dryer zones.
In the aforementioned duct, the drying air laden with drying air is taken up by at least two pairs of the nozzle boxes per floor and passed over the existing in the false ceiling discharge opening in the first room.
A predeterminable small proportion of the backflowing air quantity can be discharged via corresponding suction openings in the wall of the dryer zone and / or via suction in the enclosure of the first room as exhaust air, while the remaining larger proportion of the backflowing air directly or via a filter device of the first Room arranged heat source is brought back to the process temperature. Subsequently, the regenerated drying air is directionally sucked via the both sides of the fan stand vertically extending channels of the axial fans and fed again to the inflow opening of the nozzle boxes.
It should be mentioned at this point that the proportion of moisture laden drying air derived as exhaust air can be compensated by introducing preheated fresh drying air from energy recovery devices into the first space.

With the construction according to the invention of the dryer zones of a multi-stage continuous dryer, an improved guidance of the drying air and a more uniform temperature of the drying air in all the floors of the dryer zone are achieved in an advantageous manner compared with known dryers of this type. The quality of the products undergoing the drying process is improved.

Durch den Einsatz eines Filters für rückströmende Trocknungsluft kann der Verschmutzung den einzelnen Trocknerzonen wirksam entgegengewirkt werden;
By using a filter for backflowing drying air pollution of the individual dryer zones can be effectively counteracted;
Downtimes to clean the existing from a variety of dryer zones continuous dryer can thereby reduce.

The invention will be explained in more detail using an exemplary embodiment.

The FIGS. 1 and 2 show three modularly mounted dryer zones 1 one consisting of a plurality of such dryer zones continuous dryer. In each dryer zone 1, a housing 1a and a false ceiling 2 separate the dryer zone 1 into two vertically stacked rooms 3, 4. The room 3 contains a central heat source 5, which in the present case may be a gas or oil burner. Thus, in the space below the false ceiling 2, transport means in the manner of guided on rollers 6 screen belts 7 are shown on eight floors, carrying the product to be dried 8. Below and above the respective screen belt 7 pairs of nozzle boxes 9 are positioned.
Each rocker zone 1 has a fan stand 10 which carries a plurality of axial fans 11 arranged vertically one above the other. The axial fans 11 form a suction region 11a and a pressure region 11b.
In a preferred embodiment, the dryer zones (1) are mounted in counter-construction to each other.
On the side next to the fan stand 10, a suction channel 12 extending over all the floors of the dryer zone 1 is provided, which connects the first space 3 with the suction area 11a of the respective axial fans 11 via a defined inflow opening 12a.
Axially spaced from the suction region 11 a, the pressure region 11 b of the axial fan 11 is formed, in which pressure region 11 b the inflow openings 9 a of the nozzle boxes 9 open, as in FIGS Figures 2 and 3 can be seen.

On the fan stand 10 each dryer zone 1 side facing away from the nozzle boxes 9, a duct 13 is formed. In the air duct 13, which is open to the nozzle boxes 9 out, laden with moisture drying air flows from the individual floors of the respective dryer zone. 1
The duct 13 in turn, which extends vertically over all floors of the respective dryer zone 1, opens into the first space 3, in which the moist air flowing back is regenerated.
By regeneration is meant, for example, the filtering of the drying air in order to remove any product dust or particles from the drying air. Regeneration also means a renewed heating by means of the heat source 5 of the drying air flowing back from the drying process.
A filter 14 integrated in the first space 3 ensures the cleaning of the drying air.
