By this extension a supply of labels close to the dispensing means 4 is obtained, whereby the inertia of the label roll in the supply 2 not is relevant.
  • the means 11 for keeping the carrier with the predetermined stretch comprises a slide 24, which is in connection with the drive means 18.
  • the slide 24 is adapted to move forth and back in relation to the forth and back movement of the dispensing wagon 6 on the arm 5, thereby continuously changing the distance between the supply 2 and the dispensing wagon 6 in relation to the instantaneous position of the dispensing wagon 6 on the arm 5.
  • the slide 24 is being moved in a groove 25. In this first position the slide 24 is in the uppermost position of the groove 25.
  • the folio which is to be labelled, is led to the device 1, i.e. the arm 5.
  • the folio reach a predetermined position, i.e. the position where the labels are to be placed, its stops and the dispensing wagon 6 starts to move from the first position on the right in Fig. 4 towards left and at the same time dispensing labels from the carrier 21 onto the folio (not shown).
  • the motor which drives the dispensing wagon is adapted to accelerate the dispensing wagon so that the label will be released from the carrier at the end of the tongue 10.
  • An major advantage of the device is that the labels are dispensed directly onto the folio from the carrier without being disposed to the air, so that a hygienic (and thereby not contaminated) area between the label and folio is obtained.
  • a further advantage of the present invention is that the labels are dispensed onto the folio in a sideways manner by means of the tongue 10 whereby substantially no air bubbles are present between the label and the folio.
  • the dispensing wagon 6 When the dispensing wagon 6 reach a second position, which is shown in Fig. 5 , the dispensing wagon 6 have dispensed labels across the entire folio. At this second position, the slide 22 of the buffer unit 12 is in the uppermost position in the groove 23 and the slide 24 is in the lowermost position in the groove 25.
  • the dispensing wagon 6 will move towards the right of the arm 5, the slide 22 will move downwards (filling the buffer with labels) and slide 24 upwards until they all take the positions shown in Fig. 4 being ready for dispensing a new row of labels onto the folio, which folio has been moved at the same time so that a new part of the folio has been led to the dispensing area.
  • the device may comprise a control unit (not shown), said control unit being adapted to control the dispense of labels in relation to the speed of the folio as well as to the speed of the movement of the slides 22, 24 and may control the speed of the dispensing wagon.
  • the device according to the invention is explained in relation to a single row dispensing device, a number of devices arranged in succession (in row) after each other may be applied.
  • a printer (not shown) may be arranged in connection with guiding system of the carrier so that information may be printed on the labels before they are being dispensed.
  • the carrier carrying the labels is made of a paper-like material, wherefor the predetermined stretch of the carrier shall be set so that the carrier not is damaged during its travel through the device, it is vital that the carrier is not being damaged before as well as after dispensing of the labels.
  • the device according to the invention is easy operable for the user and has a little waste of labels due to the fact that the labels first are removed from the carrier during the actually dispense onto the folio.
  • the device need substantially no cleaning and only little maintenance.
  • the device according to the invention may be formed as a kit which easily may be incorporated in existing packaging lines.

Claims (9)

  1. Vorrichtung (1) zum Abgeben einer Vielzahl von Etiketten auf ein Blatt senkrecht zu dem Laufweg des Blattes durch die Vorrichtung (1), wobei die Vorrichtung (1) einen Vorrat (2) von Etiketten, die von einem Träger (21) getragen werden, und ein Führungssystem (3) zum Führen des Trägers (21) mit Etiketten von dem Vorrat (2) zu einer Abgabeeinrichtung (4) umfasst, wobei die Abgabeeinrichtung (4) einen Arm (5) umfasst, der sich über das Blatt erstreckt, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass ein Abgabewagen (6) an dem Arm (5) angeordnet und so eingerichtet ist, dass er die Etiketten auf das Blatt abgibt, während er sich an dem Arm (5) entlang bewegt, und eine Einrichtung (11) zwischen dem Vorrat (2) und der Abgabeeinrichtung (4) angeordnet ist, mit der der Träger mit einer vorgegebenen Dehnung gehalten wird.
  2. Vorrichtung (1) nach Anspruch 1, wobei eine Puffereinheit (12), die einen Vorrat an Etiketten enthält, in Verbindung mit der Einrichtung (11) angeordnet ist, mit der der Träger mit der vorgegebenen Dehnung gehalten wird.
  3. Vorrichtung (1) nach Anspruch 1 oder 2, wobei eine Aufbewahrungseinheit (13) für den leeren Träger (26) in Verbindung mit der Abgabeeinrichtung (4) angeordnet ist.
  4. Vorrichtung (1) nach Anspruch 3, wobei eine Einrichtung, mit der der leere Träger mit einer vorgegebenen Dehnung gehalten wird, zwischen der Abgabeeinrichtung (4) und der Aufbewahrungseinheit (13) angeordnet ist und die Einrichtung vorzugsweise mit der Einrichtung (11) verbunden ist, die zwischen dem Vorrat (2) und der Abgabeeinrichtung (4) angeordnet ist.
  5. Vorrichtung (1) nach Anspruch 1 oder 4, wobei die Einrichtung (11), mit der der Träger mit der vorgegebenen Dehnung gehalten wird, einen Schlitten (24) umfasst, der mit einer Antriebseinrichtung (18) in Verbindung steht, der Schlitten (24) so eingerichtet ist, dass er sich im Zusammenhang mit der Hin- und Herbewegung des Abgabewagens (6) an dem Arm (5) hin- und herbewegt, um so kontinuierlich den Abstand zwischen dem Vorrat (2) und dem Abgabewagen (6) in Bezug auf die aktuelle Position des Abgabewagens (6) an dem Arm (5) zu ändern.
  6. Vorrichtung (1) nach Anspruch 5, wobei die Antriebseinrichtung (18) ein Servomotor ist und der Servomotor (18) so eingerichtet ist, dass er den Schlitten (24) mittels eines Präzisionsriemens (19) hin- und herbewegt.
  7. Vorrichtung (1) nach Anspruch 2 und 5, wobei die Puffereinheit (12) des Weiteren einen Schlitten (22) umfasst, der mit einer Antriebseinrichtung in Verbindung steht, der Schlitten so eingerichtet ist, dass er sich so wie der Schlitten (24) im Zusammenhang mit der Hin- und Herbewegung des Abgabewagens (6) an dem Arm (5) hin- und herbewegt, um so kontinuierlich den Abstand zwischen dem Vorrat (2) und dem Abgabewagen (6) zu ändern, so dass der Vorrat an Etiketten, der in der Puffereinheit (12) enthalten ist, stets dem aktuellen Abgabebedarf von Etiketten an dem Abgabewagen (6) entspricht.
  8. Vorrichtung (1) nach den Ansprüchen 5 und 7, wobei eine Steuereinheit vorhanden ist und die Steuereinheit so eingerichtet ist, dass sie die Abgabe von Etiketten im Zusammenhang mit der Geschwindigkeit des Blattes sowie der Geschwindigkeit der Bewegung der Schlitten (22, 24) steuert.
  9. Vorrichtung (1) nach einem der vorangehenden Ansprüche, wobei ein Drucker in Verbindung mit einem Führungssystem (3) des Trägers (21) so angeordnet ist, dass Informationen auf die Etiketten gedruckt werden, bevor sie abgegeben werden.
