Abstract

The standing properties of the film bag standing on the base (3) are improved by a continuous blind heat-sealed seam (6). Seam must be folded over when the base is unfolded. A continuous mechanical weakening (7) is a separately produced adjacent to the seam. The weakening was produced by light punching (12), small cut-outs, stamping or laser treatment. The film (5) has punchings at the ends, which lie down once the film close to the base is folded. An independent claim is included for a method of producing a film bag.

Description

The invention relates to a film bag which is formed by folding and sealing a film, with two front sides, two V-shaped side folds, a bottom fold and a head-side bag opening.

Such film bags are for example from the patents DE 1 238 650 and DE 196 12 102 C2 known. In the conventional folding of side gusseted bags, there is often the problem that the bags do not unfold completely during filling. This is especially the case when stronger composite films are used. Ideally, the film bag has an exact cuboid shape with a flat as possible floor. If the bag deviates too much from this ideal shape, there is often a problem with the further packaging process. For example, the filled bags overturn when they are not guided. This can lead to a standstill of an automatic filling process and thus cause a reduction of the output.

From the publication EP1 323 639 A1 a film bag with the features described above is known, wherein the stability of the upstanding on the bottom surface film bag is increased by a circumferential, umzuknickende when unfolding the bottom surface blind seal. The term blind seal means that in this process, no film layers are connected to each other, but only a local weakness of the film material due to the effect of heat during blind sealing process takes place. A sole blind sealing process does not lead to the desired stability of the foil bag.

The object of the invention is therefore to provide a foil bag according to the prior art, in which a good stability is guaranteed.

The object is achieved according to the invention in that in the area of the blind seam additionally a separately generated circumferential mechanical weakening is provided.

The inventive combination of blind seal seam and separate mechanical weakening ensures a very slight buckling of the blind seal seam to form the bottom surface. Due to the easily bendable edges of the film bag according to the invention is safe on its bottom surface and has no tendency to tip over.

Preferably, the mechanical weakening is produced by means of a slight punching, a light cut, an embossing or a laser process. The film may also have end-side punched, which come to rest through the behavior of the film in the region of the bottom surface and thereby reduce the number of bottom surfaces forming film layers partially. The smaller number of film layers advantageously ensures smaller thickness jumps in the bottom area, whereby a flat bottom surface is ensured.

The invention further provides a process for producing a film bag according to claim 4. Advantageous embodiments of this process are described in claims 5 to 8.

Fig. 1). The Fig. 1 to 5 show a method for producing a film bag made of plastic, which has two front sides 1, two V-shaped side gussets 2, a bottom surface 3 and a head-side bag opening 4. Here, an endless film web 5 is first provided with a transversely extending to the web 5, over the entire width of the web 5 extending blind seam 6. In the area of the blind seal seam 6, the film web 5 is additionally provided with a separately generated, likewise over the entire web width extending mechanical weakening 7 ( Fig. 1 ). Furthermore, the endless film tube 5 is provided with punched-12, will be discussed in more detail later. In order to ensure trouble-free guidance of the film web 5 even after punching remains next to the right, edge punching 12 first a narrow strip 16. Subsequently, the V-shaped side folds are folded, the film web with a longitudinal sealing seam 13 to a film tube 5 'welded and the narrow strip 16 separated. The longitudinal sealing seam 13 is located at a corner between a front side 1 and a side fold 2. At the other corresponding edges of the film bag blind sealing seams 13 'are provided ( Fig. 2 ). Subsequently, the gussets 2, as well as the front sides 1 of the endless film tube 5 ', sealed with sealing seams 8, 9, 10 on the bottom side ( Fig. 3 ). Subsequently, a blank 5 "for a single foil bag is produced by a separation process from the endless film tube 5. In the exemplary embodiment, the blank 5" is produced by a punching process along the parting lines 14. The blank 5 "has a zipper to close the opening 4 15, which has already been welded onto the endless film web 5 (s. Fig. 1 ). As an alternative to a zipper, a slider can also be welded on. Based on Fig. 3 it can be seen that the sealing seams 9, 10 are spaced from one another for closing the front sides 1 and run parallel to one another. On a single blank 5 ", the bottom surface 3 of the film bag is formed by folding over the circumferential blind seam 6 ( Fig. 4 ). A comparative consideration of Fig. 4 and 5 It can be seen that the sealed by the sealing seams 9, 10 end portion of the film tube 5 is folded against the bottom surface 3 and bonded thereto. The corresponding bend line X is in the Fig. 3 to 5 shown in dashed lines. It runs parallel to the sealing seams 9, 10. In order to keep the number of film layers in the bottom area as small as possible, the end section 11 is provided with punched-12, which preferably from the film web 5 with not yet inserted gussets 2 Fig. 1 ) are punched out in the form of windows. The sealing seams 8 for closing the side folds 2 at the bottom run obliquely to the film tube 5 '.
