  6. Stand according to Claim 4, characterized in that the catch mechanism (6) acts in the region of the outer circumference (8) of the driving wheel (7).
  7. Stand according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the driving wheel (7) is designed to be non-slip in the region of its outer circumference (8).
  8. Stand according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the driving wheel (7) is toothed in the region of its outer circumference (8).
  9. Stand according to Claim 8, characterized in that the driving wheel (7) has, in the region of its outer circumference (8), a toothing formation having blocking flanks (9) and sliding flanks (10) in the manner of a ratchet wheel.
  10. Stand according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the outer circumference (8) of the driving wheel (7) is designed with a convex curvature in the direction of its axis (18).
  11. Stand according to Claim 7, characterized in that the catch mechanism (6) acts on the driving wheel (7) by means of friction fit.
  12. Stand according to one of Claims 8 to 10, characterized in that the catch mechanism (6) is designed as a pawl (11) that acts on at least one of the blocking flanks (9) in the latching position.
  13. Stand according to one of Claims 6 to 12, characterized in that the catch mechanism (6) is resiliently pre-stressed in the direction of the outer circumference of the driving wheel.
  14. Stand according to one of Claims 6 to 13, characterized in that the catch mechanism (6) is designed as a resilient pawl (11) which is pre-stressed in the direction of the outer circumference of the driving wheel.
  15. Stand according to Claim 14, characterized in that a control element (19) is integrally formed with the pawl (11) in order to transfer the latter into the release position.
  16. Stand according to one of Claims 1 to 14, characterized in that the catch mechanism (6) is secured against inadvertent release.
  17. Stand according to either of Claims 15 and 16, characterized in that the control element (19) is designed to be detachable from the catch mechanism (6) in order for the latter to be secured against inadvertent release.
  18. Stand according to one of Claims 1 to 17, characterized in that the driving wheel (7) is arranged in a housing and its outer circumference protrudes out of the upper side of the housing.
  19. Stand according to Claim 18, characterized in that the driving wheel protrudes out of the upper side of the housing in a quadrant from 45° to 60° and is freely accessible there.
