Abstract
Description
The invention relates to foldable textile surfaces, in particular knitwear, wherein the textile surfaces have successive, stiffened and non-stiffened portions.
Check foldable textiles e.g. for use as sunscreen, room divider, wind deflector or the like are known per se. In general, such used textile surfaces should not constitute permanent facilities, but be curled or foldable in any way. This is achieved in that the textiles are either coated and / or the sheet is preformed or damaged thermally, chemically and / or mechanically at the kinks. However, this requires complex processes and causes a reduction in the durability of the textile surface, especially at the machined places.
Furthermore, the attachment of Faltleisten of wood, plastic or the like for improving the Faltbarkeit the textile surfaces is known. Disadvantage of this system is the complex design compared to the present invention and the relative unwieldiness.
Mechanically even more complicated is the use of folding mechanisms and rolling spring boxes and the like. These basically consist of threaded lamellae, which are available in different types e.g. be held in place by a string, rings or rods, or stiffenable fabrics which can be wound up by mechanisms such as e.g. Rolling spring boxes are moved. Both systems are very complex in terms of their mechanics and prone to error in terms of their function, since often mechanically very exact processes for the function are required.
Furthermore, it is also known to weave textiles in sections with different densities to achieve better foldability. This brings a number of disadvantages. Thus, the fabric is less tear and abrasion resistant at the less densely woven areas and also visually does not appear such a textile evenly.
It is therefore an object of the present invention to provide textile surfaces, preferably knitwear or the like, in a particular form, i. to make foldable at predefined locations through the formation of stiffened and non-stiffened sections, without disturbing the homogeneity of the fabric, without making the textile surface weaker at the predefined folds and without using external aids such as folding strips or folding mechanisms. Furthermore, it is an object of the invention to achieve the formation of the stiffened and non-stiffened sections by a full-surface processing of the textile surface.
This is achieved according to the invention according to
A feature of the invention is that the stiffened portions are formed of a first yarn which is hardened after full-surface processing and in that the non-stiffened portions are formed of a second yarn which, after full-surface processing, is unchanged or softer than the stiffened portion is. This can be used to produce a textile surface that can be used as a sun visor, room divider, Wind deflector or the like is used. Elaborate mounting and fixing elements to hold the individual slats in position are not required. This function is fulfilled in the textile by the soft elements.
Another feature of the invention is that the first and second yarns consist of thermoplastic yarn materials having different softening and melting temperatures, wherein the softening and melting temperature of the thermoplastic yarn material for the non-stiffened portions is higher than the softening and melting temperature of the thermoplastic yarn material for the stiffened sections.
In the subsequent full surface processing of the fabric of the present invention, the surface is thermally treated at a temperature above the softening and melting temperature of the thermoplastic yarn materials of the stiffened portions and below the melting temperature of the thermoplastic yarn materials of the non-stiffened portions.
Preferably, a textile surface according to the invention may have the feature that the material of the stiffened portions consists wholly or proportionately of a yarn, preferably polypropylene having a softening temperature between 120 ° C to 150 ° C and a melting temperature between 150 ° C to 190 ° C, and in that the material of the non-stiffened sections consists entirely or partially of a yarn, preferably polyethylene terephthalate, having a melting temperature of at least 200 ° C or is infusible. When using these yarn materials for the textile area according to the invention, the entire surface treatment is preferably carried out by thermal treatment for 30 to 90 seconds at a temperature between 120 ° C to 190 ° C.
Another inventive feature of such textile surfaces is that the thermally less sensitive areas are formed as kinks.
In a possible embodiment of the textile surfaces according to the invention, the stiffened portions are not stiffened alternately with strip-like running parallel Arranged sections. Furthermore, it is an inventive feature that the non-stiffened portions are made narrow in relation to the stiffened portions in the form of a hinge line. The course of these hinge lines can be designed in different shapes, strengths and directions, which also complex geometric figures can be displayed.
