Claims (17)
- Track having a device for indicating at least one derailed wheel of a track-borne vehicle, e.g. a railway traction vehicle, on a rail (1) which is releasably connected to a substrate such as a wooden sleeper (3) or concrete slab, via fixing means such as screws (4) or brackets, wherein below an upper edge of the rail and adjacent to a rail is provided a sensor (5) for a derailed wheel, and the upper edges of the rail define a track plane (2), characterised in that a cover (6) for the sensor (5) is provided adjacent to the rail, which shields the fixing means (4) from the direct effect of the derailed wheel from above and in the direction of the rail, and the sensor (5) comprises a pressure, force, distance and/or acceleration sensor.
- Track having a device according to claim 1, characterised in that the cover (6) extends underneath the rail head.
- Track having a device according to claim 1 or 2, characterised in that the sensor (5) has a strain gauge.
- Track having a device according to claim 1, 2 or 3, characterised in that the cover (6) extends substantially parallel to the track plane (2).
- Track having a device according to one of claims 1 to 4, characterised in that the cover (6) is bent in the direction of travel (a) and preferably additionally counter to the direction of travel (a).
- Track having a device according to one of claims 1 to 5, characterised in that the cover (6) has recesses, e.g. openings (9), for the purpose of operating the fixing means for rails.
- Track having a device according to one of claims 1 to 6, characterised in that the cover (6) is made of metal, particularly steel.
- Track having a device according to one of claims 1 to 7, characterised in that the cover (6) is resiliently connected to the substrate (3).
- Track having a device according to one of claims 1 to 8, characterised in that the cover (6) in the resting position substantially terminates with an upper end above a fixing means (4) and optionally above the track plane (2).
- Track having a device according to one of claims 1 to 9, characterised in that at least two sensors (5) are provided, in particular each being adjacent to the rail(s) (1).
- Track having a device according to one of claims 1 to 10, characterised in that a sensor (5) is arranged centrally between the rails (1).
- Track having a device according to one of claims 1 to 11, characterised in that the cover (6) of the sensor(s) (5) is arranged underneath a rail head of the, in particular at least two, rails (1).
- Track having a device according to one of claims 1 to 12, characterised in that an output signal from the sensor (5) can be fed to a warning system, particularly through an amplifier.
- Track having a device according to one of claims 1 to 13, characterised in that the output signal from the sensor (5) can be transmitted to the warning system wirelessly.
- Track having a device according to one of claims 1 to 14, characterised in that through the warning system the energy supply to the railway traction vehicle(s) can be interrupted and/or braking of the railway traction vehicle(s) can be initiated.
- Track having a device according to one of claims 1 to 15, characterised in that a signal can be emitted from the sensor (5) only after a lower loading or acceleration limit has been exceeded.
- Track having a device according to one of claims 1 to 16, characterised in that the sensors (5) are arranged one behind the other, viewed in the direction of travel (a).
