As support elements 3 are two substantially vertical strips 30, which are connected via horizontal bars 31 to the rear wall 25. At these strips and at the lateral edge of the rear wall 35, a side wall 17 is created and fixed on each side. The side wall 17 has at the front edge 18 a fold 19, which serve with holes for attachment to the respective bar 30. The fold 19 abuts against the front surface of the strip 30, wherein the positioning element 9 rests at least partially on this fold 19. With a fastening means, such as a screw 40, the positioning element 9 is fixed to the bar 30, thereby simultaneously the fold 19 and thus the side wall 17 is fixed to the bar 30. In this embodiment, in the front region of the housing 1, between the strips 30 acting as support elements, an upper reinforcing plate 21 is fastened close above the feed opening 26 and a lower reinforcing plate 20 is located close below the feed opening 26. The reinforcing plates 20, 21 serve to increase the stability of the housing 1 and for fastening the front wall 2 via screw in the area close to the loading opening 26. From the upper reinforcing plate 21, a tab 29 is cut out and bent, which is located just above the upper edge 24 of extends to the strips 30 applied front wall 2. About screw through the tab 29 in the underlying fold 24, the front wall 2 is secured or attached.

Claims (11)

  1. Housing (1) for a front-loading laundry treatment appliance such as a washing machine, washer-dryer or tumble drier, comprising a front wall (2), two lateral, mutually opposing bearing members (3) and further comprising at least one support member (6) which is arranged in the lower region of the housing (1) and serves as a rest for fixing the front wall (2) to the lower edge (7) thereof, the lateral edges of the front wall (2) contacting the bearing members (3) when fixed, at least one positioning member (9), which projects forward and is formed as a sleeve, being arranged at the front end (8) of each bearing member (3) above the support member (6), and each lateral end of the front wall (2) comprising a first bent portion (10) directed towards the rear and, continuing from this bent portion, a second bent portion (11) directed substantially parallel to the face (25) of the front wall (2), the second bent portion (11) having at least one opening (13) for receiving the positioning member (9),
    characterised in that
    a lower bent portion (32) of the front wall (2) directed towards the rear has a recess (34) directed upwards in the region of each of the openings (33) so that the receiving openings (33) are arranged above the lower edge (7) of the front wall (2).
  2. Housing for a front-loading laundry treatment appliance according to claim 1,
    characterised in that,
    in the lower region, a base part (5) is arranged, the at least one support member (6) being arranged on the front end of said base part for supporting and fixing the lower edge (7) of the front wall (2).
  3. Housing for a front-loading laundry treatment appliance according to claim 2,
    characterised in that
    the front end of the base part (5) has a bent portion (14) which is directed upwards and comprises at least one opening (15) arranged therein, into which the at least one support member (6) is inserted.
  4. Housing for a front-loading laundry treatment appliance according to claim 1,
    characterised in that
    the housing (1) is formed as a supporting frame comprising two front strips (30) functioning as support members, and in that the positioning members (9) are fixed to the front edge (8) of the strips (30).
  5. Housing for a front-loading laundry treatment appliance according to claim 4,
    characterised in that
    each side of the housing (1) has a lateral wall (17) comprising a bent portion (19) on the front end (18) thereof, the front bent portion (19) contacting the front edge (8) of the strip (30), and the lateral wall (17) being fixed to the front in that the rear of the positioning member (9) presses against the bent portion (19) of the lateral wall (17).
  6. Housing for a front-loading laundry treatment appliance according to claim 1,
    characterised in that
    the at least one positioning member (9) is sleeve-shaped and has a base (41) arranged at the end face thereof, a hole which acts to fix the positioning member to the front end (8) of the bearing member (3) via a fixing means (40) being arranged in the base (41).
  7. Housing for a front-loading laundry treatment appliance according to claim 6,
    characterised in that
    the sleeve-shaped positioning member (9) has axial slots (42), as a result of which the segments (43) remaining between the slots (42) are resiliently deformable.
  8. Housing for a front-loading laundry treatment appliance according to either claim 6 or claim 7,
    characterised in that
    the outer sides of each of the segments (43) have, on the forwardly directed sides thereof, a tapered incline (44) which is circumferential at least in part and serves to insert, at least in part, the positioning member (9) into the respective corresponding opening (13) in the second bent portion (11) of the front wall.
  9. Housing for a front-loading laundry treatment appliance according to either claim 4 or claim 5,
    characterised in that
    the outer sides of the segments (43) have a locking edge (45) which is circumferential at least in part and serves to lock said segments to the edge of the corresponding opening (13) in the front wall (2).
  10. housing for a front-loading laundry treatment appliance according to any one of claims 1 to 7,
    characterised in that,
    at the front, between the opposing bearing members (3), the housing (1) has a lower reinforcement sheet (20) which is arranged below the feed opening (26), and in that the front wall (2) comprises, in the region below the feed opening (26), a fixing hole (27b) which acts to fix the front wall (2) to the lower reinforcement sheet (20) with a fixing means.
  11. Housing for a front-loading laundry treatment appliance according to any one of claims 1 to 7,
    characterised in that
    at the front, between the opposing bearing members (3), the housing (1) has an upper reinforcement sheet (21) which is arranged above the feed opening (26), and in that the front wall (2) comprises, in the region above the feed opening (26), a fixing hole (27a) which acts to fix the front wall (2) to the upper reinforcement sheet (21) with a fixing means.
