Description

The present invention relates to a jewelery article with special aesthetic effects. It particularly relates to the field of finger rings and bracelets to wear on the wrist. It can also be earrings, pendants, cufflinks or keychains. More generally, the invention relates to any type of jewelery article comprising an outer ring and an inner ring disposed coaxially with the outer ring, the two rings being able to rotate relative to each other.

A ring to wear on the finger is known from the patent document US 221,728 in the name of Halsey . This ring consists of two rings respectively inner and outer, the inner ring being arranged concentrically to the outer ring. The outer ring is pivotally mounted on the inner ring and has windows that show portions of the inner ring. By turning the outer ring relative to the inner ring, different portions of the inner ring appear, giving the Halsey ring a changing appearance.

According to the invention Halsey, the inner ring has on its outer periphery a groove for cooperating with a pin provided on the inner periphery of the outer ring. During assembly, the outer ring is slid over the inner ring, the stud deforming elastically until it resumes its original shape protruding into the groove of the inner ring. At this time, the two rings are axially coupled and allowed to rotate relative to each other.

The invention of Halsey has the merit of providing a jewelery ring whose appearance can be changed according to the desires of the wearer. Indeed, the inner ring carries different decorative patterns that can be selected by bringing the windows in the outer ring next to the pattern that is desired to appear. On the other hand, the axial coupling of the two inner and outer rings by means of the pin does not guarantee an unmountable assembly. Indeed, it is sufficient to exert a certain thrust force on one of the rings to force the stud to deform elastically again, which has the effect that the two rings are disengaged. Furthermore, when the outer ring is rotated relative to the inner ring, the stud moves slidably along the groove, rubbing against the bottom thereof. This friction gives the wearer a feeling of poor quality, which is not compatible with a jewelery item that is usually associated with the notions of luxury and superior quality.

The document US 1,586,606 discloses a ring comprising an outer ring and an inner ring concentrically disposed to the outer ring, the two inner and outer rings being pivotable relative to each other. The outer ring has a window through which a decoration can appear. The outer ring and the inner ring are axially coupled by means of a first flange which is integral with the inner ring and against which the outer ring bears, and a second flange which is fixed on the outer ring. inner ring following the outer ring for example by welding.

The document US6,574,989 discloses a ring comprising an inner ring and an outer ring axially coupled by means of a ball disposed in a housing formed in the outer ring and capable of rolling in a circular groove formed on the outer periphery of the inner ring.

The document DE 200 19 378 U describes a ring whose inner ring consists of two complementary parts which are assembled at the time of final assembly.

The document EP 1 410 728 describes a ring whose inner ring or the outer ring is made in two parts assembled at the time of final assembly. Only one embodiment describes a ring in two parts only, namely an inner ring and an outer ring. But in this case, the outer ring is narrower than the inner ring. This is particularly unsightly, especially because the beads are visible. In addition, the balls can easily become dirty.

The present invention aims to overcome the aforementioned drawbacks as well as others by providing a jewelery article with special aesthetic effects providing in particular to the wearer a sense of high quality.

For this purpose, the present invention relates to a jewelery article according to claim 1 attached.

Thanks to these features, the present invention provides a jewelery article with special aesthetic effects comprising two outer and inner rings capable of pivoting relative to each other, the outer ring rolling on the inner ring through the marble. This rolling is smooth, always requiring the same force from the wearer, regardless of the relative position of the two rings and the direction of rotation, which gives the wearer an increased sense of quality.

According to a complementary feature of the invention, the axial coupling means of the two inner and outer rings further comprise at least one pivot which can be indifferently carried by one or the other of the two inner and outer rings and which circulates in a circular groove formed in the opposite ring.

According to a first variant, the pivot is driven into one or the other of the outer or inner rings. The two inner and outer rings are thus completely indissociable after mounting, even if one exerts a strong axial thrust on one or the other of the two rings. The risk that the jeweler's item is damaged and that one of the two rings is lost is thus totally avoided.

Therefore, according to a second embodiment of the invention, the pivot is removably fixed, for example by screwing on the ring concerned. The article is thus made unmountable except by a jeweler provided with suitable tools that can disassemble the pivot, then slightly shift the two rings relative to each other. After which, provided for example with a blow gun, the jeweler can chase the impurities that hinder the operation of the rings.

  • les figures 1A et 1B sont des vues en perspective de la bague selon l'invention montrant les deux fenêtres de l'anneau extérieur amenées en regard de deux décors différents prévus sur l'anneau intérieur;
  • la figure 2 est une vue en perspective et en éclaté de la bague selon l'invention;
  • les figures 3 et 4 sont des vues en coupe transversale de la bague selon l'invention, la coupe de la figure 4 passant à travers un motif décoratif porté par l'anneau intérieur et une fenêtre de l'anneau extérieur;
Other features and advantages of the present invention will emerge more clearly from the following detailed description of an exemplary embodiment of the jewelery article according to the invention, this example being given for purely illustrative and nonlimiting purposes only, in connection with the appended drawing in which:
  • the Figures 1A and 1B are perspective views of the ring according to the invention showing the two windows of the outer ring brought opposite two different decorations provided on the inner ring;
  • the figure 2 is a perspective and exploded view of the ring according to the invention;
  • the Figures 3 and 4 are cross-sectional views of the ring according to the invention, the section of the figure 4 passing through a decorative motif carried by the inner ring and a window of the outer ring;
  • the Figures 5 and 6 are perspective views of the outer ring, the outer ring as shown in FIG. figure 6 being rotated 180 ° with respect to the figure 5 , and
  • the figure 7 is a perspective view of a clamp for the partial disassembly of the two rings.

The present invention will be described in connection with a ring to wear on the finger. It goes without saying that this example is given for purely illustrative and not limiting purposes only, the present invention can equally well apply for example to a bracelet to wear on the wrist or any other object comprising two concentric rings.

The ring of the invention, designated as a whole by the general numerical reference 1, essentially comprises an outer ring 2 and an inner ring 4 concentrically arranged on the outer ring 2. As will be better understood on reading this following, both outer ring 2 and inner 4 are able to rotate relative to each other.

The outer ring 2 has at least one window 6 through which is visible a decoration 8 provided on the outer periphery of the inner ring 4. In the example shown in the drawing, the outer ring 2 has two windows 6 and 6 one of which 6 is, for example, heart-shaped, and the other 6 'is in the form of a Greek capital letter Ω. It goes without saying that these examples are given for illustrative purposes only and that the number and shape of windows can be varied. As for the decor 8 provided on the outer periphery of the inner ring 4, it can be of any desired type. In the example shown in the drawing, this decoration 8 is formed of a plurality of diamonds 10 crimped in the thickness of the inner ring 4. But it could also be envisaged that this decoration 8 is formed by a region made of a material a color different from that of the rest of the ring, for example a decoration 8 in white gold arranged in a location around the inner ring 4 made in turn yellow gold or an enameled decoration 11. The purpose of the invention is, remember, that by rotating the outer ring 2 relative to the inner ring 4, is selected a different region of the inner ring 4 visible through the opening (s) arranged ( s) in the outer ring 2 to change the appearance of the ring 1.

The axial retention of the outer ring 2 relative to the inner ring 4 is ensured by at least one and, preferably, two balls 10 arranged in two housings 12 formed in the outer periphery of the inner ring 4. These two housings 12 are arranged on the same diameter D of the inner ring 4 and preferably, but not exclusively, spaced 180 ° from each other. As for the balls 10, they are preferably made of a ceramic material to avoid corrosion problems, but other materials such as in particular a metal material are also conceivable.

The assembly of the ring 1 according to the invention takes place in the following manner. The outer ring 2 is placed on the inner ring 4 and is rotated until a window 6 comes opposite one of the housings 12. One of the balls 10 is then inserted into its housing. 12 by passing it through the window 6. The outer ring 2 is then rotated by 180 ° so that the window 6 is opposite the second housing 12 which is still unoccupied. This pivoting movement of the outer ring 2 relative to the inner ring 4, while one of the balls 10 is already in its housing 12, is made possible by the fact that said outer ring 2 has on its inner periphery a circular recess 14 having a cross section in the form of a circular arc. Indeed, it is seen from the drawings that the circular recess 14 forms above the ball 10 a vault whose highest point is higher than the top of the ball 10 disposed in its housing 12. Thus by rotating the outer ring 2 relative to the inner ring 4, the ball 10 circulates under the arch formed by the circular recess 14. When the window 6 is opposite the second housing 12, the ball 10 can be inserted corresponding in this dwelling 12.

Cette gorge circulaire 18 forme pour ces deux billes 10 un chemin de roulement le long duquel lesdites billes 10 vont pouvoir rouler lorsque l'on tournera l'anneau extérieur 2 relativement à l'anneau intérieur 4.Once the two balls 10 have been inserted in their respective housings 12, the outer ring 2 is then rotated to bring two diametrically opposite grooves 16 formed in the inner periphery of said outer ring 2 facing these two balls 10. These two grooves 16 are provided to allow axially pushing the outer ring 2 on the inner ring 4 and to penetrate the two balls 10 in a circular groove 18 formed in the inner periphery of the outer ring 2. This circular groove 18 forms for these two balls A raceway along which said balls 10 will be able to roll when the outer ring 2 is rotated relative to the inner ring 4.

Once the grooves 16 are no longer at the height of the balls 10, the assembly formed by the two outer rings 2 and inner 4 is unmountable. However, there remains the risk that by manipulating the two rings 2, 4 and exerting a thrust on the outer ring 2, the wearer succeeds in bringing the two grooves 16 to the level of the balls 10 and succeeds in dissociating the two rings 2, 4 each other.

This is why, in order to make them inseparable, it is intended to provide one of the two rings 2 or 4 of at least one pivot 20 pivot which will circulate in a circular groove 22 formed in the opposite ring. In the example shown in the drawing, it has been chosen in a nonlimiting manner to drill two holes 24 in the inner ring 4, the circular groove 22 being formed in the inner periphery of the outer ring 2. These two holes 24 are intended to receive each by driving a pivot 20. Once the pivots 20 installed, it is advantageous but not limited to a solder followed by polishing to make them invisible.

According to a variant, it is provided to fix the pivots removably, for example by screwing. The ring will be indémontable for all except for a jeweler who, equipped with adequate tools, can unscrew the pivots. After that, the jeweler can shift the two rings relative to each other as much as the balls allow to eliminate, for example by means of an air gun, impurities (dust, grains of sand or other) that would have interfered between the two rings and that would hinder their rotational movement.

It will be noted that the pivots 20 have a lateral clearance and a radial clearance with the circular groove 22 in which they circulate, in order to avoid any friction.

At least one location of the perimeter of the circular groove 18 is cleaned at least one cavity 26 in which one or the other of the two balls 10 can be housed. These cavities 26 serve to index the position of the outer ring 2 relative to the inner ring 4 by defining two stable predetermined positions of said outer ring 2 in which the windows 6, 6 'show the decorations 8 provided in the inner ring 4. In these positions, it will be necessary to exert a slightly higher torque to make the ball 10 come out of the cavity 26 and to pivot said outer ring 2 relative to said inner ring 4.

It goes without saying that the present invention is not limited to the embodiment which has just been described and that various modifications and simple variants can be envisaged by those skilled in the art without departing from the scope of the invention as defined by the appended claims. In particular, it is conceivable to apply the invention to the production of a bracelet to wear around the wrist, earrings, cufflinks, key rings, pendants and more generally any article of jewelry comprising an outer ring and an inner ring arranged concentrically to the outer ring, the two rings being rotatable relative to each other.

The invention also relates to an accessory for disassembly of the ring 1 according to the invention. In its simplest sense, this accessory comprises a plate 28 having a circular shoulder 30 against which the inner ring 4 bears and whose diameter is adjusted to that of said inner ring 4. Once the ring 1 disposed on the plate 28, it is capped with a punch 32 of generally cylindrical shape which bears by its circular base 34 against the outer ring 2 of said ring 1. It is then sufficient, for example by means of a watchmaker's stem ( not shown), to exert a pressure on the punch 32. This pressure will be communicated to the outer ring 2 which can shift axially relative to the inner ring 4 held in position by the plate 28 within the limit of the movement authorized by The balls 10. In a preferred embodiment, the plate 28 and the punch 32 will be fixed facing each other on the two arms 36 of a gripper 38 pivotally pivoted at 40. It goes without saying that this accessory is usable only in the case where the ring 1 is not provided with a pivot or is provided with a removable pivot.
