- the reason why the sections are termed A-shaped gables 24, 25 here in the text is that they consist of two uprights 41, 42 that meet at the top 43, and which in the other or lower end 44, 45 meet the floor 4 at a mutual distance.
- reinforcements crosswise 46 and optionally lengthwise are close to the usual direction of driving, and crosswise is approximately perpendicularly to the direction of driving.

- the tubes 49' are open upwards so that optionally there may be fastened a plate thereto which extends to a position over the couchettes so that these plates have a height at least corresponding to the level of the point of gravity of a lying person.

Abstract
La présente invention concerne un dispositif de retenue (1) pour des sièges et des couchettes dans des wagons, lesquels sièges et couchettes sont assemblés de manière à former un cadre support (3) qui est fixé au sol (4) du wagon. Le dispositif de retenue (1) fait partie de l'un des sièges (19) qui sont fixés de manière indépendante et autonome au cadre support (3) afin d'être utilisés comme sièges et couchettes (21, 22) dans les wagons. Le cadre support (3) comprend deux gâbles en forme de A qui sont fixés à l'arrière de leur rail longitudinal (11) respectif, et qui sont reliés (26) par leur partie supérieure, en particulier par soudage. Les gâbles en forme de A sont interconnectés avec au moins un élément transversal (30). Ce mode de réalisation permet d'obtenir un dispositif de retenue (1) solidement fixé de manière autonome pouvant être utilisé conjointement avec des sièges et des couchettes (21, 22) dans un wagon, et servant de point d'ancrage fixe pour des moyens de retenue tels que des ceintures de sécurité (17) pour des passagers assis ou couchés. Le cadre support peut permettre de transférer les forces nécessaires, en respectant les normes de sécurité en vigueur, depuis une couchette en hauteur (22) et vers des éléments de sécurité (10) déjà normalisés dans la paroi et dans le sol (4) du wagon.
