  • the invention is therefore based on the object, a device for detecting a fingerprint of the type described in such a way that with simple constructive means, a digital image of a fingerprint can be obtained.
  • the invention solves this problem by the fact that on the side opposite the finger support side of the cover layer, a photoactive layer based on organic semiconductors between two electrode layers of intersecting interconnects is arranged, of which the interconnects between the photoakti ⁇ ven layer and the cover layer made translucent are, and that the photo ⁇ active layer forms the photosensitive and the light-emitting elements in Kreu ⁇ tion region of the interconnects of the two electrode layers.
  • such photoactive layers in a corresponding structure by applying a Excitation voltage also emit light, so that it does not require a separate lichtemit ⁇ tierenden location. Selected areas of the photoactive layer can be acted upon by the associated conductor tracks of the two electrode layers for emitting light with an electrical voltage. To this light for illumination and detection of the fingerprint using NEN to ⁇ Ki, the electrode layer between the photoactive layer and the cover layer is light-transmissive form.
