Abstract

The dustbin has a bin (1) that opens from on top, and a cap (2) that is on the bin. An additional receptacle is provided for admission of refuse bag rolls. Description

The invention relates to a waste container made of plastic with an open-topped bucket and a lid thereon according to the preamble of claim 1. Accordingly, the lid has an additional compartment for accommodating accessories.

For collecting and disposing of household waste, especially residual waste, it is customary to line the bucket of a waste container of the present type with thin-walled plastic garbage bags, which are given to empty the garbage container together with the contents in the container provided for garbage removal. Usually, such thin-walled garbage bags are distributed to roles summarized. From the roles can then be demolished, if necessary, a garbage bag at a designated perforation.

Accordingly, it is appropriate to keep at least one garbage bag roll in the vicinity of the waste container in order to have a new garbage bag at hand whenever needed. For this purpose, it is already known to provide an additional compartment for accessories in the lid of a waste container of the present type, in which in particular one or more waste bag rolls can be accommodated. In order to ensure a pleasing appearance of the waste container, such an additional compartment usually consists of a recess in the lid, which is closed to the outside by a flap.

Now waste containers of the present type are usually made of plastic injection molded parts to keep the cost in the context. As is known, the injection molding tools are very expensive; they work their way through the possible high quantities of products that can be manufactured with it.

In order to produce a variant of a waste container with additional compartment and another variant of the same-looking waste container without additional compartment, however, two different injection molding tools for the lids of the two variants are required in the prior art. This is not optimal for the manufacturing cost of the waste container.

In the DE-U-93 19 459 discloses a waste container with an upwardly open bucket and a seated on this and an additional compartment for accommodating accessories lid, in which the additional compartment is provided for receiving refuse bags rollers and can be opened from the inside of the lid forth. To remove a fresh garbage bag from the garbage bag roll, therefore, the lid must first be opened so that the additional compartment is accessible, which is not always optimal, since the release of a garbage bag from a garbage bag role often requires the use of both hands.

The present invention is therefore an object of the invention to improve such a waste container in terms of handling, but it remains possible to be able to produce the lid in the unmodified or hardly modified injection molding tool without additional subject.

This object is achieved by a waste container with the features of claim 1.

Advantageous embodiments and further developments of the subject matter of the present invention can be found in claims 2 to 9.

In a waste container according to the invention, the additional compartment can be opened from the inside of the lid. In this respect, the lid may be formed identically on its outside, whether an additional compartment is present or not. The additional compartment can be formed simultaneously as a basket or container, which is clipped to the inside of the lid, so that for the version the cover of the waste container according to the invention with additional compartment the same injection molding tool can be used as for another version without additional compartment.

The additional compartment is shaped and configured so that it can accommodate one or possibly more than one trash bag rolls. The design of the additional compartment for receiving a plurality of garbage bags rollers is particularly useful when the waste container according to the invention with a plurality of upwardly open buckets for waste separation is provided, which are covered by a common seated lid.

For the most efficient and user-friendly handling, the additional compartment can be opened and closed with a hinged flap. As a side effect, such a hinge flap can be produced very inexpensively by injection molding, in particular using a film hinge. A hinged flap is particularly advantageous if the additional compartment is designed as a basket or container, which is adapted in shape to a garbage bag roll. Because then the garbage bag roll can be easily inserted through the open hinge flap in the additional tray.

Again, in terms of an advantageously efficient and easy handling, the hinge flap can have a snap closure and a handle.

Particular advantages arise in the context of the present invention in that the additional compartment, which is optionally formed by a clip-on basket or container in cooperation with the demarcated by this inner surface of the lid, having a passage to the outside of the lid. This passage not only serves as a vent, but it is also designed as a metering or metering for the individual removal of garbage bags from the additional compartment. An accumulation of compostable materials, such as household waste in large part, has the unpleasant property of developing fermentation and decay processes already in the waste container. In both cases, however, it offers particular advantages when the vent is covered by an odor filter, such as an activated carbon pad. Fouling gases and fungal spores are trapped in this odor filter, while air exchange is possible when the lid is opened and closed. This will then also prevent the known surge of putrefactive gases, which usually occurs to the outside when the lid of a garbage container of the present kind is closed, especially if it is a hinged lid, which falls due to its own weight on the bucket.

Particularly advantageous in terms of manufacturing technology, the additional compartment according to the invention with a passage to the outside of the cover and the cover can be combined with one another such that the cover for the passage is also designed as an odor filter cover. This can unfold a combination effect insofar that the implementation itself serves as a vent and accordingly an odor filter is integrated in the cover.

Alternatively, a cover may be provided which spans the passage and an additional vent adjacent to one another and, for example, seals the passage tightly, while openings are provided in the cover above the scent filter.

Claims (9)

1. Waste container made from plastics material, comprising a bin (1) which is open at the top as well as a lid (2) which rests on it and has an additional compartment (7) for accommodating accessories (10), wherein the additional compartment (7) is provided to accommodate rolls (10) of waste bags and can be opened from inside the lid (2), characterised in that the additional compartment (7) has a feedthrough (15) to the outside of the lid (2), wherein the feedthrough is constructed as a dosing opening or dosing slot (15) for the removal of individual waste bags (16) from the additional compartment (7).
2. Waste container as claimed in Claim 1, characterised in that the additional compartment (7) can be opened and closed by a hinged flap (8).
3. Waste container as claimed in Claim 2, characterised in that the hinged flap (8) has a snap closure (12, 13) and a grip (14).
4. Waste container as claimed in at least one of Claims 1 to 3, characterised in that the feedthrough (15) is provided with a cover (4) which can be opened and closed.
5. Waste container as claimed in Claim 4, characterised in that the cover (4) has a retaining element (18) for fixing a waste bag (16) which projects out of the feedthrough (15).
6. Waste container as claimed in at least one of Claims 1 to 5, characterised in that the additional compartment (7) is formed substantially from a basket or container (19) which can be clipped onto the inside of the lid (2).
7. Waste container as claimed in at least one of Claims 1 to 6, characterised in that the lid has a vent opening (9) which is covered by an odour filter (22).
8. Waste container as claimed in Claim 7, characterised in that the feedthrough (15) serves as a vent opening.
9. Waste container as claimed in either Claim 4 or Claim 8, characterised in that the cover (4) also serves as an odour filter cover (23).
