Abstract

 イソブチレン系重合体を含む反応溶液から触媒を水で洗浄除去する操作において、有機相と水相の分離性を向上させて、安定的かつ効率良くイソブチレン系重合体から触媒を除去する方法を提供する。重合後のイソブチレン系重合体を含む反応溶液を水で処理し触媒を失活させ水相を除去した後、該溶液を水で洗浄するにあたって、水酸基を有する非イオン性高分子界面活性剤が0.00005~0.005重量%含まれる水を使用することを特徴とするイソブチレン系重合体の製造方法により達成される。
