Abstract

L'invention concerne un isolant pour l'insonorisation de l'habitacle d'un véhicule automobile, et a pour but de développer un tel isolant permettant d'obtenir un effet d'amortissement amélioré dans une gamme de fréquence inférieure à 300 Hz. L'invention a en conséquence pour objet un isolant pour l'insonorisation de l'habitacle d'un véhicule automobile, comprenant un coussin d'air présentant une enveloppe en un matériau élastique, efficace pour les amortissements, disposée entre un composant générateur de bruit et l'espace de l'habitacle, caractérisé en ce qu'il est prévu une couche d'insonorisation (25) adaptée à la forme dudit composant (13) et agissant en tant que système à matière élastique, ladite couche étant fermée, côté habitacle, par une feuille pesante (26) formant une première enveloppe du coussin d'air (29), et en ce qu'il est prévu une seconde enveloppe du coussin d'air (29), reliée de façon étanche avec ladite feuille pesante (26), constituée par une feuille élastique, de préférence préformée (27), formant entre la première et la seconde enveloppe, un coussin d'air (29).
