Description

The present invention relates to a hearing aid with a printed circuit board, which is equipped with electronic signal processing elements, and which has at least one connection pad for an audio shoe, and an audio shoe having at least one contact spring for connection to the printed circuit board.

Numerous hearing aids have the option of coupling in audio signals via a special audio shoe. For this purpose, an external audio device is plugged into the audio shoe. The audio shoe then forms the interface between the hearing aid and the external audio device.

Typically, an audio shoe has multiple contacts, eg. B. four pieces that must be contacted with appropriate connections on the printed circuit board of the hearing aid. Since the printed circuit board is usually in the middle region of the hearing aid housing, whereas the audio shoe is inserted or arranged at the end opposite the listener (battery end), a special intermediate piece is necessary to connect the contacts of these two elements. In FIG. 1 is such an intermediate piece ZS shown. It is contacted on the printed circuit board LP, which is equipped with components for signal processing.

The intermediate piece ZS is usually realized as an injection molded part. In the intermediate piece ZS metal contacts MK are injected or molded, which then lie on the outside of the hearing aid. These contacts often corrode, causing contact problems between the PCB and an LP in FIG. 1 not shown audio shoe. For this reason, special cover flaps are usually required for the audio shoe. Another disadvantage of the separate intermediate piece ZS is that the assembly time for a hearing aid increases by this separate part.

From the publication DD 279 365 A1 An audio input for a hearing aid is known. A beveled housing opening in the region of the pivot axis of the battery charger is used as an insertion opening for the contacts of the audio plug. The resilient hearing device side contacts are arranged on a transverse, components, such as switches and battery contact, supporting plate protected inside the hearing aid.

In addition, in the patent US 4 539 439A a hearing aid with an external microphone described. The external microphone is plugged with an adapter to a socket of the hearing aid. The socket has a board on which a plurality of spring contacts are soldered.

The patent DE 41 09 306 C 1 describes a hearing aid with arranged in a battery compartment electrical contact means. Thus, an external programming device can be connected to a programmable hearing aid part.

The European patent EP 0 334 837 B1 further shows a hearing aid with an audio shoe. Contact springs located in the audio shoe make contact with housing screws of the hearing aid.

In addition, the pamphlets reveal WO 2004/112431 A1 . EP 1 346 602 B1 and CH 675 657 A5 each hearing aid with a removable audio shoe. The contacts of the audio shoe are connected to corresponding mating contacts on the hearing aid housing.

The object of the present invention is thus to simplify the installation of a hearing device to which an audio shoe can be connected and to reduce the susceptibility of the contact between the audio shoe and the printed circuit board. According to the invention this object is achieved by a hearing aid with a printed circuit board, which is equipped with electronic signal processing elements for signal amplification, and having at least one terminal pad for an audio shoe, and an audio shoe having at least one contact spring for connection to the printed circuit board, wherein the at least a contact spring is designed such that it touches the at least one terminal contact point directly.

Advantageously, can be dispensed with by the special (n) contact spring (s) on an expensive provided with conductor tracks plastic part. This eliminates corrosion problems that have occurred with the usual spacers. In addition, eliminates the relatively expensive assembly step that traces for the audio shoe must be soldered to the printed circuit board of the hearing aid in order to increase the contact reliability between these two components.

Preferably, the audio shoe on a battery holding device and is at least partially inserted into a battery compartment of the hearing aid. As a result, a stable mechanical connection between the hearing aid and the audio shoe can be achieved.

The at least one contact spring is supported by the battery holding device in an advantageous manner. As a result, the contact springs ensure a sufficient contact force against the printed circuit board of the hearing aid despite their relatively long length.

The at least one contact spring may be partially molded into the battery holding device. This allows the contact springs to stabilize very well in their position.

In addition, the audio shoe can represent a cover of the battery compartment of the hearing aid. This can be dispensed with a separate cover when an audio shoe is used.

In a particularly favorable embodiment of the audio shoe is firmly installed on the hearing aid. Thus, the user can always connect an external audio device to his hearing aid, without having to hold a special adapter or search for it.

The present invention will now be explained in more detail with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which:
FIG. 1
a view of a printed circuit board with an intermediate piece for contacting an audio shoe according to the prior art;
FIG. 2
a hearing aid with audio shoe according to the invention;
FIG. 3
a detailed view of the connecting portion of the contact springs with the printed circuit board; and
FIG. 4
a 3D view of an audio shoe according to the invention.

The embodiment described in more detail below represents a preferred embodiment of the present invention.

Corresponding FIG. 2 a behind-the-ear hearing aid HG according to the invention is equipped with an audio shoe AS on the end facing away from the wearing hook TH. In the picture of FIG. 2 Furthermore, a battery BA and a populated printed circuit board LP can be seen. Contact springs KF establish contact between the audio shoe AS and the printed circuit board LP.

The audio shoe AS is thus mounted or integrated directly into the hearing aid housing. This means that the audio shoe can not be attached and removed by the hearing aid as usual. Of course, in an alternative embodiment, the audio shoe can still be implemented pluggable. In both cases, the hearing aid can be operated in normal mode or in audio shoe mode.

In FIG. 3 is the section of FIG. 2 shown enlarged, showing the connection area between the contact springs KF and the printed circuit board LP. In the figure, however, only three out of four contact springs are directly recognizable. A fourth contact spring can be seen schematically in the background. The contact springs KF are cast in a battery holding portion BH. As a result, the resilient portion of the relatively long contact springs (see. FIG. 2 ) kept short so that one correspondingly high spring force at the end of the contact springs KF can be achieved.

On the underside of the printed circuit board LP are correspondingly four contact areas KB, so-called contact pads, provided. Of the four contact areas are in FIG. 3 only three visible and the location of the fourth indicated only by a reference line.

After the audio shoe AS has been mounted on the hearing aid HG, the four contact springs KF of the audio shoe AS each press directly against the respective contact areas KB of the printed circuit board LP. As a result, it is possible to dispense with a special intermediate piece between the audio shoe AS and the printed circuit board LP, which possibly causes contact problems.

FIG 4 zeigt den Audioschuh AS in dem vom Hörgerät HG entnommenen Zustand. FIG. 4 shows the audio shoe AS in the state removed by the hearing aid HG. The audio shoe AS consists of a plastic structure, which consists inter alia of the battery holder BH. In the battery holder BH, the four contact springs KF are partially molded, with their ends are free.

The battery holder BH is inserted in the mounting of the audio shoe to the hearing aid in the battery compartment of the hearing aid. The audio shoe AS or the part of the audio shoe with the contact interface KS then forms the battery compartment cover. Thus, the audio shoe according to the invention, as in FIG. 4 The four functionalities are shown: audio shoe, adapter, battery holder and battery compartment cover.
