Abstract

When no identification is recognized, the control electronics (17) operate the fan (12) and/or other items to reduce an operational parameter. This reduces dust acceptance by the bag (5) or other dependent parameters. In this way the vacuum cleaner does not develop its maximum power or capability. The control electronics reduce the power of the fan. The vacuum cleaner has a selector capable of reducing fan power independently of any power setting selected by the user.

Description

The invention relates to a method for operating a vacuum cleaner with a blower, with control electronics for influencing the speed or power of the drive motor of the blower and / or for influencing other consumers, such. As a display device, with a dust chamber for receiving an air-permeable dust bag made of paper or non-woven fabric, the dust bag has an identifier and the vacuum cleaner associated with the control electronics means for identifying the identifier.

From the prior art such vacuum cleaners are known in which the dirt-laden suction air is first filtered through a disposable dust bag. For easy insertion of the dust bag in the dust chamber, the bag is equipped with a holding plate around the opening portion of the inlet opening, which is inserted into a holder in the dust chamber. Usually, dust bags are offered by the vacuum cleaner manufacturer or authorized suppliers. As a result, a quality control is possible, so that the dust bags are adapted to the requirements that are made by the respective vacuum cleaner on their tensile strength, their retention capacity and other parameters. But there are also unauthorized low-priced dust bags offered that do not meet these requirements. Because if a dust bag from a third-party manufacturer is used, it can not be prevented that the device will be damaged when the vacuum cleaner is operated, for example because a dust bag is destroyed during operation of the vacuum cleaner. When using an unauthorized dust bag, it is also possible that the blower output does not produce its full effect.

The above-mentioned problems may also occur if an original dust bag authorized by the vacuum cleaner manufacturer is inserted, but this size is not suitable for the vacuum cleaner used.

From the DE 299 22 289 U1 is a system for the identification and authentication of accessories, supplies and / or supplies known for technical bone, with the help of a vacuum cleaner detects an unauthorized dust bag and then blocks the operation. The user, who may not know this function, suspects a technical defect and costs maintenance. In addition, the user is impermissibly restricted in the choice of the dust bag, namely, he can not consciously opt for cheap dust bag.

The invention thus presents the problem to disclose a method for operating a vacuum cleaner of the type mentioned, which avoids this disadvantage and still prevents endangering the vacuum cleaner by low-quality dust bag.

According to the invention, this problem is solved by a method having the features of claim 1. Advantageous embodiments and further developments of the invention will become apparent from the following subclaims.

Characterized in that the dust bag an identifier is arranged, which can be identified by a device arranged in the vacuum cleaner, and that in non-identification of the identifier, the control electronics affects the fan and / or the other consumers in such a way that at least one of the dust of the Dust bag determining or dependent on this parameter is ensured that the vacuum cleaner works in an optimally adapted to the bag way and unfolds its maximum performance only when using authorized dust bags. The appropriate blower output can be adjusted, either by reducing whatever power is selected or in such a way that the power is only part of the selected size when an unidentifiable and thus unauthorized dustbag has been inserted.

Further annoyances of the customer are avoided by burst dust bag. Engine or exhaust air filters are changed at the right time, and the dust bag change indicator works more reliably. The change indicator can be controlled depending on the dust bag used. Only with the authorized dust bags the maximum operating time is reached, with inferior products must be changed earlier. An arranged in the dust chamber device for compressing the dust bag can be disabled or reduced in function. In addition, for the customer service information about the use of an unauthorized dust bag and resulting errors can be stored in a non-volatile memory.

Furthermore, a combination of a sensor for detecting the absorbed dust (known from the PCT / EP2005 / 000944 ) with the manufacturer of the dust bag. With the information about the recorded amount of dust, the dust change indicator can be controlled even more accurately. If an unauthorized dust bag is detected, the performance of the device will be reduced. If the dust bag needs to be replaced, a display will indicate which dust bag size needs to be rebuilt to avoid customer uncertainty about the appropriate size. After-sales service can check if authorized dustbags have been used, and warranty claims can be influenced by the customer.

According to an advantageous development according to a first embodiment, a transponder is used as identifier and a transmitter / receiver device activating the transponder as means for identifying the identifier. This type of dust bag detection is inexpensive to implement and does not require electrical cables that must be routed from the dust bag receptacle to the control electronics.

According to an alternative, it is possible to use as an identifier an optical marking arranged on the dust bag, in particular on a retaining plate of the dust bag, and as device for identifying the identifier, a device for optical pattern recognition. In this case, for example, for the optical perception of the optically readable data carrier include a holographic company logo. The customer thus already sees directly that he uses an accessory authorized by the manufacturer here.

An embodiment of the invention will be explained in more detail with reference to the following figures 1 to 4. Show
FIG. 1
a sectional side view of a vacuum cleaner 1 in a schematic representation;
FIG. 2
the top view of an inventively designed dust bag 5 in the folded state;
FIG. 3

FIG. 4
an alternative embodiment according to the figure 3.

Its housing 2 is subdivided into a dust chamber 3 and a fan chamber 4. The dust chamber 3 is used to hold dust bags 5. For this purpose, within the dust chamber 3 in a known manner (see, for example DE 103 34 894 B3 ) A receptacle 25 for the retaining plate of the dust bag 5 is arranged. The dust bag 5 is then closed lid 6 with its inlet opening 7 (see Figure 2) behind the suction port 8 of the vacuum cleaner 1, to which only a suction hose 9 is connected here. To dirt-laden suction air, symbolized in the figure 1 by the arrow 10 to be able to pass through the dust bag 5, a motorized fan 12 is arranged in the separate from the dust chamber 3 by a partition wall fan chamber 4, which is directed with its suction side to the dust chamber 3 , When the blower 12 is switched on - an actuating button 13 is provided for switching on - the suction air flows through the dust bag 5 through the dust bag, is filtered there, passes through a motor filter 14, and is then discharged from the blower 12 via an exhaust air filter 15 into the environment. The blower power can be varied in a known manner by a power controller, shown in FIG. 1 as a rotary selector switch 16. The power controller cooperates with an electronic control unit 17, which the Influenced voltage of the blower motor 18 and thereby adjusts the engine speed. In the control electronics 17, a device 19 for identifying a later-described identifier on the dust bag 5 is also integrated. In addition, the control electronics 17 has a nonvolatile memory 20. In addition to the blower motor 18, the control electronics also affect a display unit 21 in which change displays for the dust bag 5, the engine filter 14 and the exhaust filter 15 may be provided. The vacuum cleaner 1 may also, as shown in the figure 1 and from the z. Currently unpublished German patent application 102005002420.3 known to have arranged in the dust chamber 3 device 22 which compresses the dust bag 5 after switching off the fan 12, whereby the receiving capacity is increased.

The bag 23 in this case has an inlet opening 7 for the air to be filtered, wherein a retaining plate 24 is arranged for the flush mounting of the inlet opening in the dust chamber to the circular inlet opening. As indicated in Figure 1, the holding plate 24 is inserted into a receptacle 25 behind the suction port 8 of the dust chamber 3, so that a secure hold of the bag 5 is given in the dust chamber 3. In addition, it can be seen in FIG. 2 that an identifier 26, which can be identified by the device 19 integrated in the control electronics 17, is arranged on the holding plate 24.

According to a first embodiment, shown in FIG. 3, the identifier 26 comprises a transponder with a chip 27 and an antenna 28, which are fastened on the holding plate 24. In this case, the control electronics 17 of the vacuum cleaner 1 via an integrated transponder reading unit, consisting of a transmitting device 29, which activates the chip 27 and causes to send its stored data, and a receiving unit 30 which receives this data and further processed. On the chip 27 of the transponder data such as dust bag type, size and manufacturer are stored. When identifying a suitable type of dust bag for the respective vacuum cleaner 1 then the control electronics 17 can set the suction in the usual way in motion. In the event of non-identification, ie if there is no transponder on the dust bag 5 or if the chip contains 27 data indicating that the inserted bag type is unsuitable for the vacuum cleaner 1, measures can be caused individually or in combination with one another by the control electronics 17. which reduce the dust absorption of the dust bag 5 or reduce parameters dependent on the dust pickup, such as, for example, the driving frequency of change displays. They are
  • the reduction in fan power, either independently of the selected power, or as part of the selected power,
  • a premature activation of the change indicator for the dust bag 5, the engine filter 14 or the exhaust filter 15, and
  • deactivating the device 22 for compressing the anther bag 5 or reducing its function.
In addition, the control electronics 17, the information that an unauthorized or a false dust bag was used 5, in the non-volatile memory 20 from which can read a customer service technician and thereby receives evidence of improper use.

According to an alternative solution shown in FIG. 4, it is proposed that the identifier 26 be formed on the holding plate 24 as an optical marking (not shown). To identify this mark, a device 31 for optical pattern recognition is arranged on the receptacle 25 in the dust chamber 3, the data of which are evaluated by the control electronics. In this case, for example, a hologram can be printed or glued on the holding plate, which contains the company logo on the one hand. This is exposed with a laser diode and evaluated with a CCD chip (not shown). By comparison with reference data, originality can be proven. On the other hand, digital data can also be stored and read out in a hologram. In these are analogous to the transponder solution information on size, manufacturer and so on. saved.
