  • the further movable shutoff device comprises a wall substantially parallel to the inlet, preferably forming a guillotine closure of the inlet.
  • the movable shutoff device and the further movable shutoff device coincide structurally. This is because a single movable shutoff device is provided, for example formed by the annular length 55 and capable of selectively closing the inlet from the reservoir to the collecting chamber and the outlet from the collecting chamber to the outside.

[0089] . Because of the advantageous form and arrangement of the above-mentioned inlets, the flow of the product from the reservoir to the collecting chamber is substantially transverse to the direction of discharge of the product by gravity.
  • the product enters the collecting chamber not from above but from a side portion so that the flow F' of the product at the inlets to the collecting chamber has a component, preferably predominant, arranged in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal axis 16 or to the direction of discharge by gravity F.
  • the arrangement of the inlet to the collecting chamber forces the flow of the product to follow a winding course with at least one change of direction between the vertical direction and the direction F 1 at the inlet.
  • the collecting chamber is formed by the containing wall 52 and by the bottom portion 84. With reference to figures 1 and 2, that is to the closed position of the distributor, the containing wall 52 and the bottom portion 84 are in contact and the collecting chamber communicates with the reservoir only. [0091] . In the case which the closure element 56 is provided, this is in contact with the bottom 80 to close the opening 82 towards the outside.

  • the containing wall 52, and in particular the annular length 55 or movable shutoff device is raised, freeing the passage 89 and therefore opening the outlet of the collecting chamber.
  • the product can thus be discharged to the outside and pass through the openings left free by the spokes 86.
  • the arrangement of the inlet and outlet of the collecting chamber forces the product to follow a winding course, illustrated in figure 3 for example, impeding the passage from the reservoir to the collecting chamber in the brief interval in which the inlet to the collecting chamber is closing. [0094] .
  • the closure element 56 In the case in which the closure element 56 is provided, this rises with the rod and with the movable shutoff device to open the opening 82 and allow further discharge of the product.

  • the movable shutoff device capable of closing and opening the inlet from the reservoir to the collecting chamber comprises a wall formed for example by the annular length 55 substantially parallel to the inlet. This shutoff device undergoes translational movement between a closed position and an open position in a direction parallel to the inlet.
  • the shutoff means form a collecting chamber capable of being made to communicate selectively with the reservoir and with the outside.
  • the term selectively is intended to mean the condition by which the outlet of the collecting chamber to the outside is closed when the chamber is communicating with the reservoir (inlet open) and vice versa.
  • this function is performed by a single movable shutoff device.
  • the collecting chamber allows a substantially specified quantity of product to be drawn off- from the reservoir and discharged to the outside when required by the user.
  • a distributor according to the present invention allows the distributor to be used while kept in an upright position, eliminating the inverting or tilting required in state-of-the-art devices to cause the product to be discharged.
  • the provision of a collecting chamber with an inlet transverse to the direction of discharge of the product by gravity prevents the product from falling freely into the collecting chamber and at the same time provides more effective closure of the inlet when the outlet towards the outside opens. This is because when a transverse inlet is used, it is possible to produce a closure of this inlet in a direction parallel to the inlet, or a guillotine closure, which rapidly shuts off the flow of product into the collecting chamber.
  • the collecting chamber is effectively delimited in a lateral direction allowing a precise definition of the volume of product to be delivered.
  • the present invention also enables the collecting chamber to be delimited laterally by means of the shutoff device itself so as to cut off more effectively the volume of product to be delivered.
