  • the present invention relates generally to lock devices and more specifically to a lock device that includes magnets for the positional control of the plug or core of a cylinder lock.
  • Lock cylinders have a wide application and are available in many different forms. Perhaps the most common form of a lock cylinder is one that includes a cylinder house and a cylinder core or plug that is mounted for rotation in an opening in the cylinder house. This core may also include latching means, such as code tumblers, which are manoeuvred by means of a key inserted in the core. One variant is a core that lacks latching means and which is manoeuvred by means of a thumb turn or the like. This latter type of cylinder lock is, for instance, used together with a motor operated lock, in which case the motor operated locking function is housed in a lock case. A key operated lock cylinder is coupled to the lock case on the outside of the door and a thumb-turn manoeuvred lock cylinder is coupled to the lock case on the inside of the door.

The housing and the driving shaft are each provided with at least one permanent magnet or rotating the shaft to a predetermined position in case the driving unit would fail.

Claims (5)

  1. Eine Schließvorrichtung, umfassend einen Schließzylinder (1), welcher ein Zylindergehäuse (10) aufweist, einen Zylinderkern (20), welcher in einer Öffnung in dem Zylindergehäuse (10) drehbar befestigt ist, und einen Drehknopf (22), welcher an einem äußeren Endstück des Zylinderkerns (20) befestigt ist, wobei das Zylindergehäuse (10) einen ersten Magneten (14) umfasst, und der Zylinderkern (20) einen zweiten Magneten (24) umfasst, wobei der erste und der zweite Magnet (14, 24) angepasst sind, um dazwischen eine Kraft auszuüben, welche den Zylinderkern (20) zum Drehen zu einer vorbestimmten Drehstellung bringt.
  2. Schließvorrichtung nach Anspruch 1, wobei zumindest einer der Magneten (4, 24) ein permanenter Magnet ist.
  3. Schließvorrichtung nach Anspruch 1 oder 2, wobei der erste Magnet (14) am Boden einer radialen Bohrung (12) angeordnet ist, welche in dem Zylindergehäuse (10) bereitgestellt ist.
  4. Schließvorrichtung nach einem der Ansprüche 1 - 3, wobei der zweite Magnet (24) in einer Bohrung angeordnet ist, welche in dem Zylinderkern (20) bereitgestellt ist.
  5. Schließvorrichtung nach einem der Ansprüche 1 - 4, ein Schließgehäuse umfassend, welches Schließmechaniken beherbergt, die eine Motorschließfunktion aufweisen, womit der Schließzylinder (1) mechanisch an die Schließmechaniken gekoppelt ist.
