  • a further advantage of the solution of the invention lies in the resilient thrust exerted by means of the spring 13 which opposes, with appropriate pre-loading, the thrust of the seal associated with the door of the domestic electrical appliance, ensuring appropriate mechanical sealing of the system.
  • the door may be "pulled” open by rotating the hook member, as a result of which the opening force is not affected.
  • the device of the invention is particularly suited to use in washing machines, of both the top-loading and front-loading types.
