  2. Device (2, 2a, 2b) for holding a boot on a skiing/surfing board (1), according to claim 1, characterised in that the pivot body (5) comprises, on its lower face, a lower recess (17) into which the base (9) is fitted, the said recess having shapes which are complementary to those of said base (9) in order to prevent said pivot body from moving in relation to the base, both in translation and in rotation.
  3. Device (2, 2a, 2b) for holding a boot on a skiing/surfing board (1), according to claim 2, characterised in that the plate (4) comprises a central hole (4a) which is intended to receive, and cooperate with, the pivot body (5), the said central hole further comprising a peripheral rim (4b) whose upwardly turned transverse face comprises a circular toothing system (4c) which is made up of a series of radial projections and cavities and is intended to cooperate with a circular toothing system (5c) made up of a series of radial projections and cavities produced on the transverse lower face of a peripheral rim (5b) which is produced on the said pivot body (5).
  4. Device (2, 2a, 2b) for holding a boot on a skiing/surfing board (1), according to claim 3, characterised in that the central locking disc (8) is mounted so as to pivot on the pivot (50) about the vertical axis (X, X').
  5. Device (2, 2a, 2b) for holding a boot on a skiing/surfing board (1), according to claim 4, characterised in that the central locking disc (8) is held so as to pivot on the pivot (50).
  6. Device (2, 2a, 2b) for holding a boot on a skiing/surfing board (1), according to claim 5, characterised in that the central locking disc (8) is held on the pivot (50) by a retaining cap (21).
  7. Device (2, 2a, 2b) for holding a boot on a skiing/surfing board (1), according to any of the preceding claims, characterised in that the central locking disc (8) comprises a locking and unlocking stirrup (22) which can be moved between an unlocking position and a locking position.
  8. Device (2, 2a, 2b) for holding a boot on a skiing/surfing board (1), according to claim 7, characterised in that the stirrup (22) is mounted so as to be movable in a pivoting manner on the central locking disc about a horizontal transverse axis (Q, Q').
  9. Device (2, 2a, 2b) for holding a boot on a skiing/surfing board (1), according to any of the preceding claims, characterised in that the pivot (50) comprises a holding disc (20) which is sandwiched between the central locking and unlocking disc (8) and the pivot body (5).
  10. Device (2, 2a, 2b) for holding a boot on a skiing/surfing board (1), according to claim 8 or 9, characterised in that the unattached members (22b, 22'b) of the stirrup have a cam-shaped section so as to constitute a clamping cam, in such a way that, in the locking position, the cam brings about effective clamping as a result of its reciprocal pressing action between the holding disc (20) and the small pivoting bridge (8f, 8'f) of the central locking disc (8).
  11. Device (2, 2a, 2b) for holding a boot on a skiing/surfing board (1), according to any of the preceding claims, characterised in that the peripheral rim (8c) of the central locking disc (8) comprises, on its upwardly turned horizontal face (8d), the system of ramps which is made up of two axially symmetrical supporting ramps (8e, 8'e).
  12. Device (2, 2a, 2b) for holding a boot on a skiing/surfing board (1), according to claim 11, characterised in that the two supporting ramps (8e, 8'e) comprise a circular toothing system (8g) which is made up of a series of radial projections and cavities.
  13. Device (2, 2a, 2b) for holding a boot on a skiing/surfing board (1), according to claim 12, characterised in that the two supporting ramps (8e, 8'e) form clamping ramps as a result of their cooperation with the coupling projections (16a, 16'a) on the base (9), the peripheral rim (8c) being constituted by two portions of peripheral rim, namely a first portion (A- B) and a second portion (A'- B') which is axially symmetrical with the first portion, which portions are such that the thickness of each of the said portions varies in such a way that the thickness of the rim at the points A and A' is greater than the thickness of said rim at the points B and B', said thickness diminishing progressively from the points A, A' towards the points B, B'.
  14. Device (2, 2a, 2b) for holding a boot on a skiing/surfing board (1), according to any of the preceding claims, characterised in that the pivot (50) comprises a retaining cap (21) which holds together the elements of the said pivot, namely the pivot body (5), the retaining disc (21) and the central locking and unlocking disc (8).
  15. Surfboard (1) equipped with the devices (2, 2a, 2b) for holding a boot, according to any of the preceding claims, characterised in that said surfboard comprises two bases (9).
