Description

The invention relates to a device for holding a doctor blade with a bottom plate and a cover plate, wherein the bottom plate and the cover plate are pivotally connected to each other via a pivot bearing, and wherein retaining fingers are provided for attaching the doctor blade to the cover plate.

Scrapers, which are also referred to as doctoring, have the task of cleaning the surface of a roller, or a cylinder. In the case of a paper machine, such a doctor blade causes the In the event of a web break, the paper web guided over the relevant roll of the paper machine does not wind up on the roll, but instead leaves the roll at the predetermined location in order, for example, to reach a collecting chute. This task must be guaranteed by the squeegee with 100% certainty, since otherwise it can lead to considerable disruptions in papermaking and possibly even damage to the paper machine. The doctor also has the task of cleaning the surface of the roller, so that the paper web is not marked. For this reason, the doctor must rest in their holding device as evenly as possible over its entire length on the roller. For pressing the doctor blade on the roll surface, the holding device is usually constructed in two parts and has a bottom plate, which is usually rigidly attached to the machine frame. At this bottom plate a cover plate is pivotally mounted so that the doctor blade can be lifted from the roll surface or placed on this and pressed.

It has been shown that, especially in the wet end of the paper machine, the holding devices become relatively heavily soiled, so that they have to be cleaned frequently. For this purpose, the cover plate must be removed from the bottom plate, so that the holding device can be opened. From the WO 2004/042 143 A1 a doctor blade holder has become known in which the bottom plate has a bearing tube about which the cover plate is pivotally mounted. To open this holding device, the cover plate is removed in the axial direction of the bearing tube, so that the interior is accessible. For rolls that may be 8m in length, the squeegee support must also be of that length and it has been found that with such a length, the frictional forces along the bearing tube are relatively large, so that the cover plate can be removed or pushed only with difficulty. In addition, a free space of at least the length of the roller must exist in addition to the roller, so that the cover plate can be removed without tilting.

The invention has for its object to provide a device for holding doctor blades, which can be cleaned more easily.

This object is achieved with a device of the type mentioned in the present invention, that the pivot bearing is a pin hinge and has a plurality of bearing blocks and associated journal blocks.

The design of the pivot bearing as a journal hinge has the significant advantage that the entire pivot axis is formed by a plurality of mutually aligned pins, which are arranged at a distance from each other. These pins protrude from trestles and engage in bearing blocks. To open the holding device, the cover plate must be moved relative to the bottom plate by an amount corresponding to the pin length. Then the pins are pushed out of the bearing blocks and the cover plate can be lifted. On the one hand, this has the advantage that, in addition to the paper roll, not so much space is required to be able to push out the cover plate over its entire length. In addition, the thrust forces are much lower, since only on the short pin length a shift must be made.

In one embodiment, the bearing blocks on the bottom plate and the trunnions are attached to the cover plate. The attachment is by means of screws, but it can also be a glued or riveted joint. at In another embodiment, the bearing blocks are on the cover plate and the trunnions on the bottom plate.

However, it is also conceivable that both bearing blocks and trunnions are provided both on the cover plate and on the bottom plate. The arrangement of the bearing blocks and trunnions can form a specific code, so that the cover plate of a particular holding device can be attached only to the bottom plate of this holding device. Permutations are excluded.

In a preferred embodiment it is provided that the bearing block has a through hole. Although the bearing block can be provided with a blind hole, but a through hole is preferred because this can not be clogged with dirt. In addition, a cleaning of a through hole is much easier.

In order to facilitate the mounting of the cover plate to the bottom plate, the receiving opening of the bearing block widens conically in the edge region. As a result, the pin can be inserted much easier into the bearing block, or finds the pin easier the receiving opening. Additionally or alternatively, the pin of the trunnion may have a tapered tip.

According to the invention, at least one bearing block is provided, in which the pin of the trunnion is locked. This has the significant advantage that after joining the cover plate to the bottom plate no securing means are required to secure the cover plate to the bottom plate or to prevent an automatic release of the cover plate from the bottom plate.

According to the invention, the bearing block has a ball catch and the pin has a circumferential groove. After the pin has been inserted in the bearing block, the ball catch engages in the circumferential groove of the pin and holds it firmly. The pin can only be removed from the bearing block when the withdrawal force is so high that the ball catch is pushed out of the circumferential groove.

In another embodiment, the pin is connected via a positive connection, e.g. a grub screw or the like fixed in the bearing block.

Low pivoting forces can be achieved in that the bearing block and the pin form a metal-plastic mating. In this case, the plastic may be additionally mixed with lubricant, so that the frictional forces are further reduced.

Further advantages, features and details of the invention will become apparent from the subclaims and the following description in which reference is made to a preferred embodiment.
