Description

The invention relates to the field of furniture and more particularly that of retractable beds. In the context of home improvement, current furniture must meet criteria of functionality, simplicity and safety in increasingly small spaces. Particularly in the field of the hotel industry, the rooms are relatively small and must simultaneously provide a sleeping space and a work space allowing the use, for example, of computers. This finding has led to the appearance of retractable furniture, allowing significant space savings depending on their position. Thus, in the field of hospitality, it is known to use retractable beds, which are raised when they are not used, to allow significant space savings after transformation of the sleeping space into working space. A retractable bed conventionally comprises a box-type support structure, fixed against a wall and comprising two side walls and an upper horizontal wall, the bed being pivotally mounted to the lower part of this box, by means of an appropriate fixing device and joint. The retractable bed is movable between two positions, namely a folded position, in which the bed is disposed vertically inside the box and an open position, in which the bed . rests horizontally on the ground. Furthermore, the retractable bed is generally provided with a decorative element so that in the folded position, the box has the external appearance, for example, of a cabinet. However, such retractable beds are unsightly. Indeed, when the bed is in the open position, the sides and the top of the box are visible and affect the decor of the room in which the bed is placed. In addition, the user may feel an impression of confinement, because in the recumbent position the user 's head is locked between the side walls and the upper wall of the user. caisson. Moreover, the fixing devices of such beds are complex and difficult to install, because the wall partitions are generally light and not very thick. In addition, these devices are found to be completely unsuitable for non-wall installation. To remedy these problems, the document FR-A-2 711 048 proposes a fixing device for retractable bed that does not require the use of a supporting structure. The device consists of two independent elements arranged on either side of the head of the retractable bed and comprising wall fixing means and / or ground-shaped bracket with reinforcing walls. It is thus possible to fix the fixing device only on the floor or simultaneously with the floor and the wall. Each reinforcing wall has a receiving housing for the pivot axis of the bed. However, for better use, these two elements at right angle must be fixed against side furniture, for example, bedside tables, otherwise the two elements tend to deviate under the effect of the weight of the bed or various solicitations in rotation of the retractable bed. The main disadvantage of this device is the dislocation of the pivot axis and the fall of the bed between the two elements at right angles. Moreover, this fastening system has poor resistance to deformation. Indeed, during the pivoting of the bed, stresses appear and cause a phenomenon of tearing of the device, due to the effect of lever arm generated by the weight and length of the bed. The object of the invention is to overcome these drawbacks and has as its object a foldable furniture structure, in particular a retractable bed, comprising a support comprising two parallel and spaced lateral flanges of substantially rectangular shape and having two lower front and rear corners and a front and rear top corners and a substantially rectangular shaped pivot frame having a rear end portion engaged between said flanges and rotatably mounted thereon between a folded position substantially vertical and an extended or open position substantially horizontally forward. According to the invention, this structure comprises at least one cross member which is substantially perpendicular to said flanges and fixed on the latter and which is intended to be in contact with the ground or with a wall and comprises means for attachment to the ground or to the wall; a transverse axis of pivoting which extends substantially perpendicular to said flanges and mounted on said frame and whose ends are pivotally mounted on said flanges in an area near their upper front corners; and a transverse reinforcement antitorion bar, substantially perpendicular to said flanges, integral with the latter and disposed in an area below said pivot axis. According to the invention, said structure may comprise at least two sleepers which are substantially parallel to each other and substantially perpendicular to said flanges and one of which is intended to be in contact with the ground and the other is intended to be in contact with a wall, these sleepers having means for fixing the floor and wall. According to the invention, said structure could also comprise three integral crosspieces flanges, which are substantially parallel to each other and substantially perpendicular to said flanges, said crosspieces being attached to the flanges at their two lower corners and the rear upper corner and having means fixing to the floor and the wall. According to the invention, said transverse axis of pivoting extends preferably from one flange to the other. According to the invention, said transverse axis of pivoting extends preferably through a transverse sheath integral with the pivoting frame. According to the invention, said reinforcement transverse bar preferably carries at least one stopper of said pivoting frame in its folded position. According to the invention, said abutment preferably comprises means for adjusting the folded position of said pivoting frame. According to the invention, said pivot frame preferably extends rearwardly beyond said transverse axis of pivoting. According to the invention, said structure preferably comprises means for assisting the tilting of said pivoting frame, which are installed between this frame and said reinforcing bar. According to the invention, said structure may advantageously comprise lower covering flanks fixed on and covering the outer faces of said flanges, and said frame may advantageously carry a casing box which comprises side walls and a front wall which is opposite. of the ground when it is in its extended position, the rear part of said box being engaged between said lower sidewalls so that said sidewalls extend near these lower sidewalls. According to the invention, when said frame is in its folded position, the lateral junction edges of the side walls and of said front wall preferably extend near the front edges of said lower covering flanks. According to the invention, said structure may advantageously comprise a lower front plinth joining the lower front edges of said lower casing flanks, said front wall having a rear edge located near the upper edge of said front plinth when said frame is in its position. folded. According to the invention, said structure may advantageously comprise upper cladding flanks extending upwardly said lower cladding flanks and having front edges staggered rearwardly with respect to the front edges of said lower cladding flanks, said walls side members carried by said frame partially engaging between and near said upper casing flanks when said frame is in its folded position. According to the invention, said structure may advantageously comprise a rear cladding wall extending between said cladding flanks, said frame carrying a rear wall whose upper edge comes close to the lower edge of this rear cladding wall when said frame is in its extended position. According to the invention, said structure may advantageously comprise a front wall joining the front edges of said side walls and of said front wall and whose upper edge comes close to said rear cladding wall when said frame is in its extended position. A particular embodiment of the present invention will now be described by way of non-limiting example and illustrated by the drawing, in which: - Figure 1 is a perspective view comprising a support of a structure according to the invention, before mounting a pivoting frame of a retractable bed; - Figures 2 and 3 show two perspective views of a structure according to the invention comprising the support of Figure 1, equipped with the pivot frame, respectively in the folded or vertical position and in the open or extended position; - Figures 4 and 5 show, in side view and in section, the structure according to Figures 2 and 3; - Figures 6 and 7 show two perspective views of said structure according to the invention equipped with actuating means, respectively in the folded or vertical position and in the open or extended position; - Figures 8 and 9 show two perspective views of said structure according to the invention equipped with cladding means, respectively in the folded or vertical position and in the open or extended position; - And Figure 10 shows an enlarged section of the lower part of the above structure. The folding bed structure 100 shown in the figures, which comprises a fixing device and articulation, comprises a support 1 having two lateral flanges 2 parallel and substantially rectangular shape. The flanges 2 are spaced a distance substantially corresponding to the width of the pivoting frame 3 of a retractable bed, rotatably mounted on the support 1, between a substantially vertical folded position, shown in FIGS. 2 and 4, and a elongated or substantially horizontal open position, shown in Figures 3 and 5. The support 1 comprises three crosspieces 4, substantially parallel to each other and substantially perpendicular to the flanges 2, having means for fixing the wall and the floor of the support 1. Two sleepers 4a, 4b are fixed to the flanges 2 at their two lower rear corners and front, intended to be in contact with the ground, and a cross member 4c is fixed at a rear upper corner of the flanges 2, intended to be contact with the wall. The cross member 4c preferably has an L-shaped section to increase its resistance to deformation. The cross members 4a and 4b preferably have a flat section in order to optimize their contact with the ground. The crosspieces 4 comprise fixing holes (not shown), distributed, possibly evenly, over their entire length, to allow the fixing of the support 1, for example, by means of screws, on the floor and / or the wall. avoiding possible obstacles, including holes or ducts. The device for fixing and articulating the structure 100 also comprises a pivot axis 5 (not shown in FIG. 1), substantially perpendicular to the flanges 2 and mounted at the same time on the pivoting frame 3 and the flanges 2, in a zone close to the upper front corner of the flanges 2. As shown in Figure 10, the pivot axis 5 is preferably constituted by a bar 5a of circular section with a diameter for example of the order of 20mm to 25mm, ranging from from one flange to the other and whose ends are rotatably mounted on the flanges 2, possibly by means of insert rings. This bar 5a preferably extends through a sleeve 5b of circular section fixed firmly on the pivoting frame 3 and extending over the entire width of the latter. Furthermore, the support 1 comprises a cross bar of anti-torsion reinforcement 6, integral with the flanges 2, substantially parallel to the crosspieces 4 and to the transverse axis of pivoting 5 and disposed in an area located below the axis of pivoting 5. The reinforcing bar 6 is intended, among other things, to reinforce the strength of the support 1, in particular during the pivoting of the frame 3, and to serve as a stop for complementary elements of the frame 3 in the folded position (Figure 2). The pivoting frame 3 comprises in particular lower support bars 7 for possible wrapping of the pivoting frame 3. The bars 7 are arranged approximately at the two ends and in the middle of the frame 3. As shown in FIGS. 4 and 5, each flange 2 preferably comprises a cutout 8 located under its first upper corner. The dimensions of the cuts 8 are adapted to the dimensions of a plinth, regardless of its height and thickness. This particular design allows a better fixing of the support 1 against the wall and causes a better stability of the device, during the pivoting of the frame 3, especially in the case where the ground would not be quite flat. According to an exemplary embodiment, the corresponding end of the pivot axis 5 is preferably located at a distance L1 of the order of 500 mm from the rear side of the flanges 2, perpendicular to the ground, possibly intended to come into contact with each other. with the wall, and at a distance L2 of the order of 270mm from the lower side of the flange 2, intended to be in contact with the ground. Such a position, given as an example, of the pivot axis 5 makes it possible to avoid any phenomenon of tearing induced by the pivoting of the frame 3 of the retractable bed. Indeed, the frame 3 of the collapsible bed is relatively long and this length causes a significant leverage effect, when pi votement of the chassis 3. To mitigate this phenomenon of tearing, a good attachment of the support 1 to the ground and / or on the wall, as well as an appropriate positioning of the pivot axis 5, are necessary. The reinforcing bar 6 is located under the pivot axis 5 and shifted forwards (FIGS. 4 and 5). This position of the reinforcing bar 6 with respect to the pivot axis 5 is chosen so as to optimize the tear resistance. The pivot axis 5 is preferably close enough to the reinforcement bar 6 and these two elements are relatively close to the ground. The center of gravity of the device constituted by the support 1 and the pivoting frame 3 is therefore relatively low, which improves the resistance to the tearing phenomenon. For example, the first section 9 is preferably extended, parallel to the ground, by a stiffening profile 10, also steel, of flat section and a length of the order of 50mm. The two sections 9 and 10 of the reinforcing bar 6 are thus shaped so as to adapt to the shape of the frame 3 and the support bars 7, when the frame 3 abuts against the reinforcement bar 6 in the folded position (Figure 4). . The main purpose of the reinforcement bar 6 is to reinforce the strength of the support 1 and to provide a stop for the chassis 3 in the folded position. It also has the function of preventing the chassis 3 from collapsing in the event of a sudden rupture of the pivot axis 5 which can cause the chassis 3 to sag. The fact that the pivot axis 5 is mounted on both the support 1 and the pivoting frame 3 makes it possible to ensure good characteristics of resistance to deformation, in particular in the case where the structure comprises automated means for assisting the tilting. The structure absorbs all the forces generated by the rotation of the frame 3 around the pivot axis 5, which avoids the installation of a supporting structure. Attractive gains in terms of cost, size and aesthetics are then generated. Thanks to the fixing and articulation device described above, it is not necessary to provide supporting structure or ancillary furniture. The support 1 of the device is indeed directly attached to the wall and / or the ground. It is thus possible to fix it indifferently to any location of a room and the presence of a wall is not necessary. Furthermore, when the retractable bed is lying down or lying down, that is to say when it is folded forward, nothing distinguishes it from a fixed conventional bed. The size of the retractable bed corresponds to the dimensions of the bed itself, which makes it possible to make the best use of the space available in the room where the bed is fixed. Furthermore, it it is possible to provide a covering for the pivoting frame 3 and the support 1, so that in the folded position the different elements merge with the decor of the room in which the bed is installed. The frame 3 comprises a substantially rectangular frame 11 consisting of side bars 11a and rear and front bars 11b and inner bars forming a cross 12 and connected to the bars 11a and 11b. The pivot axis 5 is mounted on the pivoting frame 3 away from its rear end, so that the pivoting frame 3 extends rearwardly beyond the pivot axis 5. The structure 100 can in addition, comprise automated means for assisting the tilting of the pivoting frame 3, for example, cylinders or electric motors. In this case, the reinforcing bar 6 can also serve as a support for these automated means, because it is sufficiently rigid to withstand loads of the order of 250 kg / cm 2. Such automated means are then preferably fixed between the stiffening profile 10 of the reinforcing bar 6 and the pivoting frame 3. As shown in particular in FIGS. 6 and 7, lateral pneumatic support cylinders 13 are installed between the reinforcement bar 6 and the lateral bars 11a of the frame 11 and a user-controllable actuating cylinder 14 are installed between the middle of the reinforcement bar 6 and the central bar 12a of the cross 12 parallel to the bars Lateral li a. As shown in FIG. 10, the reinforcement transverse bar 6 carries a set screw 6a which constitutes a limit stop in the upper position of the frame 3 and which makes it possible to adjust the final vertical position in the folded position of the frame 3. In a variant, the final vertical position in positi folded chassis 3 could be achieved by adjusting the length of the aforementioned cylinders, for example by screw-nut systems. Referring to Figures 8 and 9, it can be seen that the structure 100 may further include a particular fixed liner described below. On the outer faces of the flanges 2 are fixed substantially rectangular lower side flanks 16, which are larger upwards and towards the front. The flanges 2 could be inserted into suitable recesses of the flanks 16. The lower side flanks 15 are extended upwards by upper lateral flanks 16 which have vertical front edges recessed towards the rear relative to the vertical front edges of the flanks 15. A transverse and vertical rear wall 17 joins the lateral flanks 15 and 16, this rear wall 17 being recessed rearwardly with respect to the vertical front edges of the upper lateral flanks 16 and slightly recessed towards the front relative at their vertical back edges. A front transverse plinth 18 joins the lower portions of the leading edges of the lower flanks 15. The structure 100 may further comprise a movable cladding described below. The frame 3 carries a casing box 19 which includes side walls 20, a front wall 21 which faces the ground when it is in its extended position and which is fixed on the bars 7 of the frame 3 to provide a space between the frame 1 1 and the front wall 21 to accommodate the cylinders 13 and 14, as well as a front transverse wall 22 located on the side of the front free end of the frame 3 and a rear transverse wall 23 located on the side of the rear free end of the frame 3. The front wall 22 extends downwardly so as to constitute a foot 22a resting on the ground when the frame 3 is elongated. The rear portions of the side walls 20 are engaged between the flanges 2 of the support 1 and close and have rear edges coming close to the reinforcing bar 6 when the frame is in its extended position. The rear portion of the front wall 21 is also engaged between the flanges 2 of the support 1 and passes below the reinforcing bar 6 when the frame is in its extended position. The side walls 20, the front transverse wall 22 and the transverse rear wall 23 protrude upwardly from the frame 1 1 to extend laterally to a bed base and a mattress installed on the frame 1 1. When the frame 3 is in its position elongate, the upper edges of the side walls 20 are slightly below the upper edges of the lower flanks 15 When the frame 3 is brought to its folded, vertical position, the side walls 20 of its casing engage in part between the upper flanks 16, the front wall 21 comes close to the front edges of the lower flanks 15, the lower rear edge of the front wall 21 comes close to the upper edge of the transverse plinth 18 and the upper edge of the rear transverse wall 23 comes close the lower edge of the fixed rear transverse wall 17. As shown in Figure 8, when the frame 3 is in its vertical position, the casing which has just been described has the appearance of a cupboard which encloses it with its bedding. As shown in FIG. 9, when the frame 3 is in its extended position, the described covering confines the periphery of the bedding and the reduced width of the upper flanks 16 does not constitute an inconvenience for the users. The structure 100 which has just been described can be applied to form a bed whose direction of length and therefore of the coating can extend as well perpendicular to the pivot axis 5 as parallel to the latter. Furthermore, the lower flanks 15 and the upper flanks 16 may advantageously constitute furniture walls or storage shelves placed on either side of the structure 100. The present invention is not limited to the particular embodiments. described above. Many variations are possible without departing from the scope of the appended claims.
