Abstract

Verfahren und Vorrichtung zum Homogenisieren eines pumpfähigen Produkts, bei dem das Produkt unter Druck gesetzt und in einer mit einem Antrieb (16) versehenen Homogenisiereinrichtung (12), die einen in einem Gehäuse drehbar gelagerten, antreibbaren Rotor und einen stillstehenden oder relativ zu dem Rotor mit einer einstellbaren Relativdrehzahl antreibbaren Stator aufweist, homogenisiert wird, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das Produkt vor der Homogenisiereinrichtung mittels einer mit einem separaten Antrieb (14) versehenen Pumpeinrichtung (8) mit einem unabhängig von dem Antrieb der Homogenisiereinrichtung (12) vorgebbaren Druck beaufschlagt wird, wobei der Druck so geregelt wird, daß in der Homogenisiereinrichtung keine Kavitation auftritt.
