  • the vent may be positioned so as to allow engagement of the engagement means 16 and the security pin 18 with the night vent slot 30. This allows airflow through the vent whilst preventing access.
  • An espagnolette assembly of the present invention gives a clear advantage over the prior art by reducing the chance of a window or door being forced open. If a force is applied perpendicular to the direction of travel of the moveable bar 14 and to the axis of the engagement means 16, rotation around the axis of the engagement means 16 will be prevented by the security pin 18. This will subsequently prevent movement of the sash 8 away from the vent frame 26 and decrease the chance of a lever or jemmy being inserted between the sash 8 and vent frame 26.

Claims (12)

  1. Stange (14) für einen Espagnoletten- bzw. Drehstangen-Verriegelungsmechanismus, wobei die Stange (14) Mittel zum Ineingriffnehmen (16) eines Gegenkastens bzw. einer Schließmulde bzw. Halterung umfasst, wobei die Stange (14) ferner eine Sicherheitseinrichtung (18) umfasst, die den Eingriffsmitteln (16) bei Gebrauch in denselben Gegenkasten (24) folgt, ohne den Gegenkasten (24) in Eingriff zu nehmen, wobei die Sicherheitseinrichtung (18) eine Drehung um die Eingriffsmittel (16) während eines Sicherheitsangriffs verhindert.
  2. Stange (14) nach Anspruch 1, wobei das Eingriffsmittel (16) ein Stift ist.
  3. Stange (14) nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, wobei das Eingriffsmittel (16) ein Flachrundkopf- bzw. Pilzkopfstift ist.
  4. Stange (14) nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, wobei die Sicherheitseinrichtung (18) ein Stift oder Zapfen ist.
  5. Stange (14) nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, wobei die Sicherheitseinrichtung (18) starr an der Stange (14) fixiert ist.
  6. Stange (14) nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, wobei die Stange (14) flach ist.
  7. Stange nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, wobei sich die Eingriffsmittel (16) und die Sicherheitseinrichtung (18) im Wesentlichen senkrecht zu der Stange (14) erstrecken.
  8. Stange (14) nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, wobei die Eingriffsmittel (16) und die Sicherheitseinrichtung (18) jeweils im Wesentlichen die gleiche Höhe aufweisen.
  9. Espagnoletten- bzw. Drehstangenanordnung, umfassend wenigstens eine Stange (14) nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche.
  10. Espagnolettenanordnung nach Anspruch 9, ferner umfassend einen Gegenkasten bzw. eine Schließmulde bzw. Halterung, der bzw. die zwei Eingriffsschlitze (28) aufweist.
  11. Espagnolettenanordnung nach Anspruch 10, wobei jeder Eingriffsschlitz (28) durch Flansche (31) definiert ist, um die Eingriffsmittel (16) innerhalb des Schlitzes zu halten.
  12. Entlüftung bzw. Entlüfter, umfassend einen Flügel bzw. Flügelrahmen, einen festen bzw. fixierten Rahmen und eine Espagnolettenanordnung nach einem der Ansprüche 9-11.
